Bram Turismo's Gallery - Tournament Round 1 before/after -

the lines seem a bit like tearaways on some parts of the car, like the door lines, and down to where the skirt is, and some parts of the roof, but they're really nothing to worry about. great photo all together too. the way you made it reminds me a lot of the game automodelista. maybe that's what i'll call u now :D just kidding. i see you still use your dodge and burn effects. they always do the trick, i still need to get it right though. very artistic shot i should say. hopefully i get to the same level one day too. great work! bring some more!

Both mustang and supra are really well done
great clean up as always
btw I think it is as close as it gets for 440's style

It's different.
I like the rims, the way the light hits them, and the light spots you added.

I also like the blur, extremely well done, great colors. The blueish tone on the back of the car looks nice too.

I'm not too sure about the way the car is presented. Although it has a cool look to it, there's just some things that seem... weird.
Like it appears that you had a 4-red-tones limit to cover the entire car, or a 32-color monitor is displaying a real image.
The other thing is the lines. You did dodged them (a bit), but I think they're just too dark, specially the line around the fuel thing (sorry, don't know the name for it in english), make it look fake, almost pasted in there, due to (imo) lack of dodge on the downsides that would reflect the downwards light and also due to the reflections don't match the ones found around it.

It is, nevertheless, a good shot, plenty of work there. 👍

EDIT: just noticed your new gallery logo. 👍

Nice Supra shot Ultrashot.
Just because you have a new name doesn't mean I am going to stop calling you the name that I can actaully remember :) What is it with Supras at the moment? I am missing out on something? Personally I hate the things so it will be a incredibly rainy day when you see one of those in my gallery. :)

Looks nice Bram. I really like that spot at Super Speedway. Really nice colors are acheived there, and you acheived them for sure. I like the Mustang too.

But like has been said about the Supra, maybe a bit too clean. Photos in real life are going t have a little grime and a little noise to them, and not every edge is going to be perfectly crisp, clear, and clean. So maybe you should try to not make such a clean edge. I know that may not sound like the right advice, but it may help in creating a more real-looking shot. And I think you may have gotten the door lines wrong. I don't think they go donw to the rocker panels. Maybe they do, but I don't think they do.
The blur looks nice too, but I wish the shadow wasn't blurred. Other than, I really like the color and contrast.👍

I guess you're right on the door lines Charger, I just followed what seemed to be the door lines on the original image but then off course, you're last update was so amazing, there's no discussion possible about who's got the best Supra done 👍 Other then that, I read through some old posts of yours and I read something about "Overlay" and suddenly it came to my mind that perhaps I could try and experiment with the layer blendings. But afterwards it occured that the smudge tool would behave different. For example when I applied an Overlay on the layer, the smudge tool seemed to brighten up rather then do the actual smudge :odd: But when I got rid of the Overlay and applied some contrast instead, I seemed to have the same effect ;)👍 But what I need practise on is how to smudge. I think I'm using too big brushes and that I'm cleaning areas which are too large to deal with at one time, I guess that's why it looks so cartoonish. I used a brush size of 5-10 on this one but I think I might give it a try to smudge with a size of 1-3 and get every single detail in it, practise makes perfect 👍

Thanks for the feedback everybody 👍

I really like the look of the Supra. The "cartoon" look really suits it I think. Looks sweet in red too. Wish I could get a car looking like that.
I love the colour, the blur is brilliant and the rims look great. What are they? Would love to know. Another superb shot from you. 👍

Also really like the name change, very creative. 👍 When you gonna change your avatar though?
I was thinking of changing my name. I am not sure though.

I love this shot loads Bram:tup: it reminds me of auto modellista and its soooooo clean!:dopey:

Great name change by the way:tup:

Thanks guys 👍

Here's the original Drift so you can figure out which rims they are, they appear in the used wheels lot 👍

maybe it's the percentage of the smudge tool that you need to adjust ? by the way, on the original, how did u go about fixing the lines on the hatch ?

 Blimey Bram you can really tell how much you have done to the shot comparing the original to the finished product, Well done:tup:

Thanks 👍

Adrian, what do you mean with the hatch? The rear window lines? I just clean all of the lines untill they are nearly completly invisible, just a thin black line and form there, I create the new lines 👍

Audi Le Mans Quattro @ Infineon

I tried not too have that same cartoonish effect so I smudged in a different, I hope you guys like this kind of smudging better 👍 The rims were hopeless, I wished I was allowed to change in those ugly concept wheels with some bling rims but I couldn't so they are just crap. All those body and door lines didn't look too good on the original one so I didn't bother to get all the lines smootly and floating as I don't have the skills nor the partience to reach such clean lines as the big guys in here 👍

Just to show how hopeless this car has been made by PD:

I think you can change those rims... well, I haven't driven that car in a long time, but I think so, not sure.

This is one of those cars everyone would like to have well textured, because it's a beautiful car with lots of details. The fact that it's hideously textured really puts people away.

Anyway, that's one hell of a job you did.
Is that radial blur on the rims? If it is, how did you get it to look like that? 👍
The blur is excellent, beautiful colors all around.
I don't understand what you're saying about the car's lines, they look damn good to me.
Also, the rear lights are spot on, beautiful. :)

Only things I find less well done is the back of the car, side pannel and below the license plate look unclean, while the rest of the car is near perfect, including reflections.

Very nice shot, I really like the "high-speed cruisin" mood in it. 👍

Much better improvement, I never knew the Le Mans Quattro was so badly textured, especially the rims...

Again, the rear isn't as clean as it could be. But you did a great job on the blur, that's for sure.

surely, this one's much better than the supra, except for the wheels. but then it gives it an effect of a wheel or suspension failure waiting to happen. makes it look as if it ran over a curb really hard, and is about to go bonkers any minute. just practice more bram! i'm sure you'll perfect it one day. remember, the more you improve or the more people comment, it's gonna be helping me too :D

I'm going to start with the LeMans. The rims specially aren't working, the PS blur and edges ruined part of your work because I like the rest of the shot. The vivid colors are so sweet... The background blur are becoming perfect to my taste as well.

About the Supra, it's also a very interesting work. The quality level of your edited photos is impressive. In this one it has lost a quite amount of real feeling, yeah it looks like filtered in a artistic style. But technically, it's very good.

BMW M3 GTR @ Motegi

I really like this one, from the previous update, I improved nicely on the smudging. I may have overdone the reflections on the front wheel arch or fender, whatever but I guess I just got carried away :D However, I really love the way how the reflections on the door turned out, as well as the lower parts of front and rear bumpers 👍 The gradient map came out nicely as well. I still got a lot to improve though 👍 Let me know what you think 👍
