@GOTMAXPOWER was in the mid 44s :banghead:
That was a fluke lap, I think @Kermit_2142 was almost identical, I was quicker for a while by 0.007s then he was quicker by exactly the same amount until just before we finished. That was on 0 BB, I want to try going forward with that to see if it is any more consistant turning in for that second chicane.

@Drex124 was 2 seconds faster than anybody else, he was loads quicker through turn 1!

One drive through for each use of the line

Sounds very similar to my patented "Beardo technique"
You see, by scattering gravel all over the corner exits on lap 1, I greatly increase the chance of mistakes by those in front of me, creating a great chance of a closer race.

I'm just operating on a level of tactics beyond what has been seen before...

"The Drex line" is cutting the first chicane.

"The MaxAttack line" is overshooting the second chicane and going wide at lesmo 1 into the gravel.

Not sure which is faster...
There is always the"Granpa-route", overshoot the first chikane, overshoot the second chikane, hit the gravel ggravel trap at lesmo, overshoot Ascari... Run wide in final turn...

Once I perfected it I will be the most visible on all the replays....

40 laps this morning. One dip into the 47, but most are 48. With the odd 52 thrown in.
Consistency? We don't need no stinking consistency...

A whole week off race B on Monza with a gr 4 FR is going to mess with it too.

Edit: it's the chikanes that are killing me... I can't seem to find a steady line through. Lesmo is a bit inconsistent too...
I can zip through the entire track at full speed with my trusted gr 3 Mustang, no hick-ups what so ever... But I am 3 seconds slower with it at the same power/weight settings.
Thank God for BOP in daily and FIA....

"The straight lines are fine, it's the corners that are getting me"

Yep, me too. It's gonna be beneficial to mentally isolate this combo from Gr.3. This car is sooooooo unhappy on the kerbs, it's almost more like F1 at this point.

Gonna run a little more practice this weekend - at this point you're faster than me :)

I hold the throttle at a neutral setting when I cross a curb, it's more settled then.

Agreed. It does feel much happier over curbs at something like 50% throttle.
B-b-but I want to STOMP it...

Just kidding. The only kerb I've had real trouble with is the right hand kerb at Ascari, I'm sure with a little more restraint I can figure it out. Pretty sure if I stitch all three chicanes together on one lap, I can be at a competitive-ish pace here.

However I know for a fact I'm slow around the all important Parabolica most times out on this track.

EDIT: Yeah I didn't touch the brake balance either, default seems about right to me.

The curbs themselves are okay most places (the right at Ascari is tough). The problems are if you cut too much and launch off the sausage it gets out of shape.

The car seems to lose grip mid corner rather than on the brakes so a front BB doesn't seem to help much. I used +2 last night to help with the Lesmos.

Hmmmm, you all seem to have done waaaay too much practice at this stage of the proceedings. Best get my act together so as not to embarrass myself here.

I'm still working on the transition to wheel. Struggling with oversteer coming out of the slow corners at Big Willow, more so than I recall on the pad, which is strange because I thought that would be much easier on wheel / pedals. Good thing the Group 3 Lambo is such a stable machine and I won't suffer any such problems at Monza.....

I found the same thing to be an issue. I'm assuming there's some sort of assists built into the coding for DS4 users to make things smoother, that can't be turned off. You'll get there. I was matching my DS4 pace within a couple of weeks.

Then I hit a brick wall for a few months until something clicked (no idea what) and I shot from 25k DR to 40 odd in a little over a week.

Thanks man, yeah, I'll stick at it for sure. I expect it'll click for me around the time GT7 comes out on the PS5. Everyone will bugger off to play that, so I can win loads of GT Sport races because I'll be the only guy on track. Might even get the 15(?)clean race achievement if that happens!!!
