I think I'd like to see the time penalties and points penalties enforced simultaneously. It will take some work though to fit each breaking of the rules to an amount of penalty points. When is a 10 second penalty worth 2 points, and when is it worth 3? etc

In any case I can keep tabs on the number of penalty points with my spreadsheets.

Also can the SC run a bit faster, like 75 or 80 mph? 50 is a bit too slow in my eyes.

Have the race results been confirmed yet?

Shame this is all needed S1 was so much fun with practically no rules, understand you guys cant carry on with that mind set however.

I think 75-80 is a bit too fast. We need to make sure that the drivers in the accident have enough time to reach the back of the pack....

All cars are equal or are going to be equal. Vectra , golf and alfa are banned.

I for one am thinking about using the cvic.

The DC5? Highly doubt it mate. The guaranteed cars for next season are the beemer, focus, s3, civic type R. We just need 2 or 3 more cars to fill the grid.

Like I said, Season 3 cars can be used but won't score points.
Season 2 should be for Season 2 cars but as I have seen Redstone use the NGTC for next this year I am willing to be bendable with that depending what you all want.

I can usually, just my brother wants to use the Xbox... plugged in the same TV.

IMO we should not do this. Instead just allow them to change to a more competitive car instead, such as the fantastic four(beemer, focus, s3, civic)

If we have half the grid with season 3 cars then I wont be racing. I want it to be competitive. I dont want to just be racing 4/5 drivers.

Test sessions are there for a reason. Also I dont think having test races with different drivers in different cars is a good way to do this. Driver ability differs between each other. I like my FR with a loose rear end but cant tolerate understeer whereas someone here might be the oppopsite to this.

How we should test is if everyone just runs 10 laps per car in the same track, posts fastest time in a spreadshest. Then take averages across all drivers. This is the only accurate and reliable way of doing this.

Moving towards agreeing with this. I'm running the car list at Deep Forest, Rob is at Autumn Ring. We could do with a few more people doing the same at different tracks, and actually posting their times.

Please don't add any more cars to the list now. 22 cars is more than enough. The more cars get added, the more everyone has to run, the longer this will take. Car list available here : S3 Car List ... please stick to the list!

What cars we use I imagine will depend completely on the times. I've nearly finished my Deep Forest running so I can add my opinion about the cars.

I agree that the Audi/BMW/Ford/Honda should be kept for S3, with the addition of three, maybe four additional cars. If equalisation means adding some weight to the S2 cars, then so be it.

I really need to put my game together now! Monza was hell for me, and sorry to all the people who I pushed off. Looking forward to the upcoming winding tracks. Would be nice to end the championship in the top 3 👍

And BTW, killa's model of testing the cars seems reasonable, but takes a lot of work for each driver (really appreciate the work you have put into testing and posting times for each car Rolo, but I haven't got the time myself unfortunately.)
The test race of 10 laps, really displayed how each car handled its tire wear. The Primera for example was horrible (or my setup was horrible ).

But 10 laps with each car, done by each person is a hell of an effort, which I, as mentioned, haven't got the time for
But it is, without a question, the best way to determine which cars to use in the upcoming season.

Tyre wear is very simple just look at the weight split available this will determine what will be good and what wont might save you some tyre test time.
