Black screen anyone? Or just me?

Indeed. It even happened to me on the restart. The problem? The car could move but I was blind.. 🤬!! Route 5 IS cursed!

Despite I've always loved GT they REALLY need to look at that bug!

I would like to apologise to karsten and anyone else I Punted or hit in either of The races tonight. I was trying to drive clean but I'm afraid the focus just understeers wildly when the tyres aren't 100%. I very much doubt I will be contesting with a focus next season, unfortunately that means I may have I leave the ICS PLC team. I would also like to say congratulation to skengy for his excellent performance tonight, almost taking victory in race 2!

Fantastic racing tonight folks, it seems that largely we've got the driving standards much improved. I think it helped that SSR5 was quite a wide and open circuit, but it was still much better all the same.

Personally, R1 was great! Helped me to put my terrible, terrible Monza to bed :) Shame my tyres couldn't quite do it.

Great battles with killa (as usual) :)

It's a good job I keep a record of the R1 results in between races! Damn black screen!

R2 was sick, by that I mean fantastic!!
Skeng was on my tail from lap 5 untill the end. In an FF! He really handles that civic :)
Great race Skeng 👍

Yeah I know! I think we have a future champion in the making, he could out do me. Mind, I've tested a civic and they handle like a dream when you set it up right. might run one next season. Unless I have an epiphany with the focus it's a no brainier

Race 1 was quite fun, at least I made up a couple of places

Race 2 was a joke, no idea how I lost so many places on the first lap. A couple of the cars seemed to have an orgasm at the first one or two corners

Driving standards weren't great from where I was, but that's probably because I was at the nuthouse end of the grid. I suppose it's a demanding track though, with no run-off

Wasn't expecting much from this track anyway, so I'll look forward to HSR :)

That makes two of us, doubt I'll be entering S3 at all, but I'll see

One thing I will say is that the reverse championship grid seems silly to me... surely the first one or two laps would be cleaner if the order was the right way round - after all, race 2 is a reverse grid event anyway

I saw you being squeezed against the wall by someone (think it was a Vectra).

I dunno, I think the system we use is pretty fair to the guys at the back. If you're the fastest then I feel it's better to work for your win.

And championship wise, if you've missed an event or had a bad day, then maybe you can start higher up and redeem yourself. Gives everyone a chance in my view. Keeps it close.

Perhaps it is biased though in the sense that a fast newbie can come in and win basically every time.

The focus makes the right first impressions due It having the full 305bhp And 490pp (with aero set to max, which is ironic since it makes it understeer even Worse)

But it's ridiculous how badly it handles at some tracks SSR5 in particular. I thought it was decent and possibly podium worthy at Monza but tonight I just couldn't make it work. I think it's because 60% of the weight is right up front, and changing it would make it uncompetitively sluggish and heavy.

I'm testing a civic for next season

^^^^^ 👍

Any incidents at all just PM me regarding which lap it happened and which driver(s) was/are involved.

I don't know how you had it set-up, but with all the weight shoved as far back as possible and a default set-up everywhere else, I was dipping into the mid 1:32s. With the Focus I find you have to brake earlier in order to make the apexes and be a little more patient on throttle.

I use that, but with default camber and toe settings

Can't remember, don't think it was anyone's fault, everyone just seemed to get bunched up

That tune said ford gt , the focus is a ff car so i dont think that gt tune would help you , its probably slowing you down.

Was a great event tonite just watched the replay to see the safety car incident . See you guys during the week for a little practice perhaps.

Next season will be renamed to the BTCC - The British Touring Civic Championship :)

Hahaha just like the real btcc I guess. I said I'll test a civic, but I fancy running a primera or something like that, just to be different.

Oh ok i see , one day in the week i can help you in a practice lounge . Most ff cars are the same to me , ff is my favorite platform to drive . Since all the cars ive owned in real life were ff cars ive always spent extra time learning them in gt games

It all depends on the results of testing really. Gotta trim the car list down to 7 or 8.

Looked like you were pretty close to getting a win today rolo... you did well 👍

Cheers man 👍

Yeah the closest I've been so far, but the combination of worn tyres and a mega fast BMW got me. I would have lost 2nd to cunny too if he hadn't have crashed on the last corner.

I'm surprised I was so quick! HSR is reasonably similar, fast and flowing, so hopefully all the Focus boys will be up there! Only the S bends to really worry about, understeer-wise...

We need to discuss whether or not to race HSR in the wet, folks... Geeky really needs to decide.

Honestly mate I thought you had it in the bag! You passed the controll in the lead and everything!
