I guess the percentage surface water and percent rain would determine whether inters or wets are best.

I think if we do race in the rain, I think we should have static surface water/weather rather than changeable? Make it clear early so we can test at that level of water.

Still think it's too early to be reserving S3 cars, the car list is nowhere near decided yet.

I hope the primera makes it through! Even if it was hopeless at Indy I think some setting up would Iron out the Dreaded FF understeer

right rolo, its was just a "reminder" infact I asked when we can decide cars for S3

during SC pits are allowed?

For now, as far as I know, there's no rules about that (but they should come for S3). In fact the pit stop thingy was about 33% of the reason for the long SC.

Oh and regarding weather at HSR, if we decide to let it rain there'll be a "safety limit", e.g. Canadian F1 GP last year, only we'll continue behind SC :) I just need to find a fitting % amount so PM your ideas for that :)

I think that was the reason. 100% of it. There was one group that pitted on the first SC lap. Then another group pitting on second SC lap. Then another group pitting on third SC lap. Why the third group didnt just pit on the second SC lap? I do not know....

Once the car list is confirmed, I'd imagine. Have ideas, by all means, but I wouldn't recommend getting too involved yet.

As a starter, what about 50% surface water to race on? I've not tested yet though. Can't be too unfair on the BMWs or hand the Audis too much gain.

Yeah 50% is a good idea. That way you have to judge when the switchover between wets and inters. And whether its worth switching to slicks in the last 3 laps. Reminds me of canada gp 2011....But Im not too sure if we're ready for that.

Yesterday was a big step in terms of race behaviour but theres still some issues there to iron out.

You mean start on 50% and let it decrease, or keep it static at 50% all meeting?

Start off at 50 and it'll decrease as time passes...The races are too short to have a dynamic wet race.

EDIT: Damn phone.

true, was just about to say that... may have to tweak the weather progression to see if there is time for slicks near the end (or if we should just leave it)

Probably a bad idea for this series to be honest

I'll wait for a reply from Geeky as regards weather before speculating

On a different note, the Focus feels great at HSR

I would suggest starting it dry and changeabilty at 10 so if it does rain at least it wont rain forever

Yeah maybe just keep it static for S2... maybe we'd need to test rain a bit more for S3 before getting more complicated with it.

Im glad to hear that! Was ready to drive it off a cliff after ssr5!

It was OK at SSR5 but it doesn't really like the low-speed corners, I'd have done alright if I had more practice ;)

HSR is a fast flowing track which really suits the Ford

That's good since even the tightest corner on HSR is really wide. Should be a successful meeting for the ford boys

The last race was weird for me being my 1st and all , in practice i was off the pace but once i got used to the sports soft i managed to do a lot better , i enjoy the braking with the sports soft , feels a bit more realistic .

Ill do some hsr practice later this week

Were the final results posted for ssr5

The gap between Purtek Racing and ICS plc remains very close at just 4 points.

so no stewards decision? O_o

Not yet mate. Been busy yesterday and involvement in other series.

Btw you come off as surprised? Is there anything you wish to PM me about?

Would be a bit late now, wouldn't it? I reckon if results have been confirmed by Geeky, we shouldn't backdate complaints and alter results.
