You will go to the Nurburgring Nordschleife, Forward, and post a lap time.

Good luck, and know this: even though there's been only three of you entering for 300 Month, this has been the most awesome thing to organize.

I hope to see you all again in October, after this little hiatus of mine.

I have been wondering when the Nordschleife would turn up in the competition, it was always a question of when and not if! I'm glad it's this round as I have a better chance of getting round in an Impreza than in some of the cars I've used in previous events.

Yeah, you email the picture. Attach it as a file or use an image link. I don't care which; I save the picture on my computer anyway.
 
Picture and lap time finally sent! I had a bit of trouble with the pictures…I couldn't decide on which was better! I took two, both are crap, but I went with the most…iconic (?) one of Laguna. o.O

Anyways…time for the Ring…

Edit: My time and photo are in for Laguna Seca. What's the betting that Onboy123 and I have both picked the exact same paint scheme for our Subarus? Probably taking his car photo from the exact same location on the corkscrew as well!

Hmm…is yours in that Subaru blue? And did you pick the 2nd camera for your picture? If it is, I'm stuffed! :D

It's blue... but not an official Subaru blue, so we may have a difference! Something-German-pearl-effect blue, yellowish-gold wheels.

:lol: I just remembered two things:
1. I bought SS tyres but did all my previous laps on SHs.
2. I was a tester for the RVR EU shootout, and the test track was Laguna! :D
 
I've sent my time in, it was interesting for me because it was the first time I'd done many laps at the Nordschleife for a while. The thing I noticed is that I know the track to the Karussell relatively well, it's the section between there and Schwalbenschwanz (the "mini" karussell) I struggle with. I think it's a combination of not wanting to wreck a good lap if I've got that far together with usually quitting a lap before that point if I've already messed up. Then on is easy enough once I know I can take the corner at the end of the long straight flat!

Thumbs up for the Subaru as well, it is as forgiving a car for this track as you could hope for.👍
 
I haven't.

But a NEW problem has arisen: I've got a social function to attend to tomorrow! So the deadline, just to allow myself time enough to make a time around the Nordschleife, is sometime this week.

During the last week of September, I will announce October's BCC month. Enjoy your offseason.

I'm interested in taking part in this, it sounds like good fun! Is it a once a month thing?
Also, do you race online or can it be entered offline? I have a connection, but not a good one (patchy wi-fi only) which would mean jumping / lag if racing....

Yeah it tends to be a monthly thing, with events each week. It's an offline event, so don't worry. Airrider will set a track, and all the regulations, then you do a time trial and submit your time.

Sounds good. Me and him still have a score to settle with a drifting match :P haha. He's beaten me by a few hundred points both times now :lol:

Ahh, but you see, I is also a drift meister :D I hope I can keep up with you two, not just get buried in a cloud of tyre smoke from you lot drifting. :lol:

Haha, brilliant. I'm not actually very good at it, I think I got lucky the last couple of times, but shhh... :lol: I hope Airrider sets some form of event where I can have another RWD car. I think I've picked RWD each time so far, they're the most fun!

Yeah I'll be back next season. My holiday put me out of 2 seasons in a row so yeah, I'm eager to get back in. :D

Yeah, I'm similar. My holiday only made me miss one season though. Still feels like ages since I was on GT5 though! I need to get some practice in before the next season starts :P

It's great to see the numbers will be up for the next event, even if it does mean the bottom step on the podium is no longer mine by default!

Yeah, like Onboy said, don't worry about it just being for the winning. None of us take it that seriously. We just like to wind each other up about it :P
