Budget Car Challenge

I would be interested in participating in the October round, but I was wondering how we prove our lap times.

Just take a picture of it and email it to Airrider. Either from the fastest lap leaderboard (in the race lobby) or during the game itself. So just from the top corner. I hope this makes sense, I understand what I mean... I think...

Did everyone submit their times? Because I'm now going to tally up the scores for the Photomode and Nordschleife competitions if all three times have been submitted. Onboy, I think yours is missing!

I'm going to nix the Founder's Jackpot because I could not for the life of me do the Nordschleife properly. To add insult to injury, I couldn't do the Mercedes-Benz seasonal event either, this same day. Argh.

Also, say congratulations to both Onboy and Slirb, tying the Photomode competition with five votes apiece!

Good, good, thank you, everyone, for your entries into the October season. Like I said, I won't reveal the challenge until late September, so you have time to think about what it might be.

Times are in. Congratulations, Slirb! You are 300 Month's champion!

See you all in the last week of September, with the announcement of the October season!

I've been a silent member for months now Onboy. I just never had a reason to comment. I had a ton of fun this past month and looking forward to October.

Can I join in for the next season? If so what do I need to sign up?

I have a feeling that I'll be heading straight to the bottom of the field, but it sounds like it'll be a fun ride down :D

So, you're our silent but deadly fast member, eh? Good to meet you, and a slightly belated welcome to :gtplanet:! :D Congratulations for the win, and I hope to see you taking part again. Espceially cuz I want to beat you now that you've humiliated me by beating me with a 4 point lead

By the way, as long as you ain't trolling or hating, you don't really need a reason to post

E38, anybody is welcome to join the Budget Car Challenge: just make sure you have your entry ready for the first event of every season.

I'd like to also offer a belated welcome to Slirb. Great work this season.

Also, that is correct: take either a screenshot or a photo of your TV with your fastest legal lap time, drift score, or whatever and email it to me at RRVCrinale@gmail.com so I may have all my tikes indexed in one address.

Silent yes, but deadly fast? Now you're giving me too much credit. It was mostly the car. That 350Z is amazing on a paved surface. Just stay away from the dirt unless you want to be sideways the whole time. I'll be back in October. Just hoping that Laguna Seca isn't a track we have to run... Can we just run Daytona every week? :D

Hopefully this December I will be buying a 350Z so hoping the real thing matches the fun I've had in GT5 with it! And yes, I'm fully intending to keep it off the dirt...

I know I said I would wait until the last week of September.

However, I want to start this competition off in October, so I'll give you until Saturday, October 1, 2011 to get ready.

I had lots of ideas for October, but looking through the UCD for a while gave me a cracker of an idea.

So, here we go:

October will be the Shootout At The Ol' Saloon!

The rules for this one are a theme I didn't think of before, but now I'm sure glad I did. Make sure you have 50,000 CR to burn for this one. You must go out and take up to 35,000 of those credits and buy a saloon car/sedan with it. Three-box, four doors. Saloon car. Then, take the change and the remaining 15,000 and tune it for a number of challenges.

On October 1, I will give you your first challenge. For now, grab your car and parts, and be ready. Who says driving thrills only come with two doors?

This series looks fun. How come ive never noticed this before? Besides, i didn't play Gt5 in a while, was mostly occupied with shift and tdu, now its time for a change to keep things fresh. Now, off to the UCD i go:)

This reminds me of a challenge I did in GT4, except I ended up using an Acura CL. I've been out of the loop so forgive me if I've missed any rule changes, but is this a UCD-only challenge now or can we use a new car if we find something that cheap? :)

Awesome, sounds like a good idea :) I'll look forward to it. It's been my first week at University this week so I've been out pretty much all the time. I'm guessing things will probably calm down a bit by next week, which shall give me time to find a decent car.

This time I will challenge competitors to find a UCD deal only. However, all maintenance is still free (oil, wash, engine & chassis overhaul) so take advantage of that.

I'm interested to take part..

Airrider , have you figured any way to verify car costs at garage?

I have a 2000 car garage and have literally no room for new cars.
And I don't refresh the UCD much , only as little as necessary.

I've read first post = no tuner cars /race cars ,
The assists allowed are subject to change, but usually the only assist you may utilize is ABS set to 5 or below. Grip reduction must be set to Real, and mechanical damage shall be set to Light. Manual transmissions only

Are OCD half prized cars allowed?

Oh right , I have a list of UCD car values (almost complete)
I just need to figure out a way to count the car value based on the mileage at a specific car and it's 0km prize.

Alrighty. :) Is painting the car still free too?

I haven't figured out how to verify car prices in-garage. The rules also changed so that there is no mechanical damage, and ABS is limited to 1 this season.

Hmmm...OCD cars will be subject to a case-by-case investigation when you e-mail me your specs and spending sheet.

I may have already found my sedan. I'll keep looking though in case I find something better. For once I'm going to do some testing before deciding on a car.

I've found my 3 box chariot as well. The interesting thing about it is that however much you like it, I actually couldn't care less about it and actually rather despise it.

Hey, how come I haven't seen this. I'd be interested in taking part- do we e-mail (or PM) you the car we'll be using and the cost and list of parts added. And also I didn't see anywhere if there is a tyre restriction?

Then don't use it? I never pick a car I hate for the BCC. If you look at all my previous choices, they've all been blasts to drive. :D Probably why I never win the championship. :dunce: Hopefully this'll change with the car I'm favouring at the moment.

I picked a car with AYC and 330hp. The former is why I hate it, the latter is why I chose it.
