Hi. Send a PM to Heathenpride. He is running this, and you need to pick a car that's available as there is a limit of no more than 3 of any make/model per race. Check the list of entries on original post. I think there might be a Lexsus or a Celica available......?

He posted in wrong thread. Don't think he wants to join this series

was there ever a vote for which track we're running at La Sarthe? I was gone for a couple weeks and see some guys posting to change it, but didn't see anything official.

The original post still shows La Sarthe (no Chicanes) but doesn't show whether that is the 2009 or the 2005 version.

Mic, the issue was Spa, LaSarthe and Nurb were all originally detailed as 'Change Weather / Change Time' events. Only the LaSarthe 2009 has this option (with Chicanes) so that is what people are suggesting we run with.

Same with the last race, in order to offer the weather option, track will need to be the N24 config

I dont think that is the issue. The issue is that the specific track and details still haven't been confirmed or posted by the organizer.
At Spa, the number of laps were determined 5 minutes before we started the race. Seriously? C'mon, HP, just make some decisions and let's go with it one way or the other. That is really my only point. It's good for the series and good for future series to take these steps to keep everything clear and up front for all the competitors.

Fair point Mic.

I've been inundated with drag shifts with my new job so this series has suffered, for that I apologize guys. I'm getting very little sleep during the day and working 9hr shifts from 10:30pm so I'm struggling big time to even function normally :(

Mic, I'm happy with you making the call on this one and I will update the op.

Nurb will be 24hr circuit.

Again, sincere apologies lads.

hi guys, on the subject of the next track, 2009 with chicanes is the only change weather an time, I was to understand that this would be a change weather race, if there isnt going to be rain, ill request a car change as I picked the scooby on this understanding an I will not run the little runt in another dry race!!

In the words of Smokey Robinson "I Second That Emotion" 👍

Mic - Assuming we go with the 2009 (with Chicanes and weather) config, I've calculated that for a 3.5 hour race it would mean a 48 lap race in the dry, or 42 laps if it's wet.

May I suggest sticking to 45 laps. Sarthe 2009 with weather, and what about time progression, any darkness involved ?

The faster ones out there can probably do a 4:15 dry lap with 1 pit stop, from what I observed, that makes it around 50 laps.

Bob, I dou8bt anyone will be able to regularly turn 4:15's, especially on anything but new tyres. 4:20 is probably a good average to work on for a complete stint. Plus I doubt very much that a 1 stop will be possible because fuel won't last

For time progression what about a midday start, and midnight finish (12 hours real world time)?

Noted Gadget.

I am fine with whatever settings you and Mic agree on, just lay it out for us clearly up front before race day. Thanks.

Thanks for running with it Gadget. As i have not done a single lap yet, i trust your lap counts.

Just add to your post what "track" time you will set it for at the beginning of qualifying. 1.5 hours should pass on track during the 30 minute qualifying session i believe. so Like 10:00 hours at qualifying and just go from there to finish in the dark with fireworks?

And i think the rules were updated so disconnections do score points as long as they are there at the start.

If I'm correct, local LeMans, France time is GMT +2, so it will be 01:00 Sunday at the start in LeMans, France.

Agreed. I will aim to open the room (GTP_Enduro) at around 2200 GMT start time indicated above for some free practice. At 2230 GMT shrpe I will reset the track time to '10.00' for 30 mins of qually. If the forecast is showing as dry (as it currently is seeming likely) at that time I will set the track toto :-

Track Humidity 0%
Weather 0
Changeability 3 ...in the real world, no forecast is 100% accurate ;)
Time variant 3
Laps 48

If there is any forecast for rain I'll adjust accordingly (weather and number of laps), and likewise if I see the official forecast changing wildly in the 12 hours leading up to the race I'll crank up the changeability accordingly

We'll then do the 30 mins free qually, and aim to start the race at 2300 GMT (midnight BST, 0100 French time).

This should give us what Mic describes, namely a daylight start and a nice fireworks enhanced evening finish.:)

Have fun gentlemen!

Can we have a role call of driver intending to make this weekends race please?

I know for a fact there will be

Gadget334
pluxtheduck
i-was-ere

Just a reminder the points table currently looks like this:-

I should be there at the start, but i will have to park it during the race most likely. I'm having Back/Neck issues and it is very uncomfortable to sit and drive for more than 30 minutes at a time.

My second option is to drive impaired, LOL ; but i wouldn't put you guys (or myself) through that with the Full Damage on.

Mic oh no! Are you telling me you haven't been using one of these when you drive?

:)

Wishing you as speedy recovery. I hope you last the distance 👍

I'll be there Gadget. RX7 Aspara-something.

Mic get a pillow for your racing seat, I was looking forward to see your awesome tyre conservation technique again.

Test drove a mock race in full rain and darkness, the water spray will make passing very tricky.

Nah, it's a pinched nerve or something that just feels very uncomfortable in certain positions. Like now, sitting at my desk at work. Quite annoying. I tried to drive some last night and it was woefully painful after a short time.
I will test drive with a percocet before Saturday and see how things look and feel

Side Effects:
Drowsiness
Feeling Faint
Dizzy
Feel Like Throwing Up
Throwing Up
Feeling Weak

I get all of these when reviewing replays for long periods with jumpy laggy cameras. You sure your ARTA's springs ain't too tight, love ? :D

My ps3 is currently bricked thanks to the new update so I can't be in attendance, I'm using my sons for Skyrim but there's no gt5 data on it :(

Gadget, can you please copy the entire OP to this thread then make the changes you need in notepad then send it to me via pm so I can update? I'm on my phone presently so making large changes is a pain in the backside :(

that's a shame HP. I've really missed you in this series! I know you've been very busy though. Next time mate!

And I've missed racing :(

Next series will get my full undivided attention though, I will be hoping to contend for honours so expect practice and solid lap times from me :)
If Sony release a fix for my brick by Sunday morn I will be there, not likely though I don't think :(
