Gadget, can you please copy the entire OP to this thread then make the changes you need in notepad then send it to me via pm so I can update? I'm on my phone presently so making large changes is a pain in the backside :(

Done!

Plus.....you really should back up your GT5 Game data periodically so you have a copy on the other PS3. Having lost all my GT5 data (game completed to Level 40) when my fat PS3 died 2 years ago, it's a mistake I won't make again!:grumpy:

Sony have a fix for it, but you can end up losing everything on your hdd. It's unofficial tho. Not sure where to find it. Haven't seen how to do it in english.

PlayStation 3 firmware update coming June 27th, promises to fix bricked systems:

Are you one of the "small number" of folks with a PlayStation 3 that was bricked in this week's 4.45 firmware update? Though Sony's been aware of the issue since the update launched, apparently a fix isn't coming until June 27th -- that's nine days after 4.45 launched to an unsuspecting populace. The PlayStation Europe Twitter account announced as much this morning in a tweet. "We have identified the issue related to PS3 software update (4.45) that impacted a small number of PS3 systems earlier this week," the feed reads.

"A new system software update is planned to be released on June 27 that resolves that issue," it adds. There's also a bit of an apology, but that won't do much for the folks who are without their PlayStation 3 for the next six days. PlayStation's US arm also confirmed that the update will arrive in North America on the same date.

This is the updated OP for tomorrows race, I'm loathe to change the OP on my phone so I'm posting it here, all drivers please take note:

I'm planning on being there. 👍

Just got a call for a work assignment on sunday. With the race being saturday night, it is best that I get some sleep instead of an all nighter-endurance. :ouch: So unfortunately I have to pull out of this race. :guilty:

Good luck gentlemen and have a good one!

Watching the start of the REAL Le Mans 24hr race and guess what......it's raining and the track is declared 'wet'. This is a much better indicator for what the track needs to be set for tonight, but I guess we'll ultimately use the link agreed

Soooooooooo tempting to declare 100% wet :sly:

I wish!

At present the track is only wet in parts and the whole field is still on slicks, but who knows what will hap[pen over the next few hours. Great timing having our Le Mans race coinciding with the real thing :)

Track Map for tonight for those unfamiliar with corner names etc

Even if it rains, it's barely sprinkling. Don't get carried away with your 4wd desires :P

that last race with 100% wet was ridiculous. Should have been red flagged

It looks like the forecast is for a drought window exactly around our race time despite the fact it's been raining most of the day and will rain again in the early hours tomorrow. Unless something changes in the next 2 hours Ill start with 10% track humidity, weather 0, changeability 3.

Qually Format for tonight

With a long lap qually can be frustraing and a long process so tonight I have decided to adopt a system we used for one of the Nurburg 24 hour practices earlier this year.

As previously stated, the GTP_Enduro Lounge will open around 2200 GMT (just under 2 hours from now) for free practice. At 2230 GMT we will start a 3 lap qualifying RACE from a random grid. For this race only COLLISIONS WILL BE OFF' but full damage will be on, so you can drive through cars but if you hit a barrier you will get damage. The grid for the proper race will be dependent upon the results of this 3 lap race.

Seeya all shortly

I'll try to force myself off Eurosport when this event starts! It's too exciting! Kristensen went off now (he deserved it after yellow flag incident). Send me a pm if I'm not there at 2200 GMT :)

After a bad start my race got better and had a great race in the end. Didn't see many cars so I'm hoping someone post some pics :)

Nice one knukk, do we have a result?

Not able to get on today. It was
1 plux
2 knukken
3 iwasere
4 bobzhn
5 david
6 gadget
7 anfd dnf

Not sure about 4-6. Had to run when I finished
2.1 seconds between 1st and second but it was not a close race before last lap.

That was such an incredible end to the race... Losing 1.5-2.5 seconds a lap was just so scary - the back end of my car was out all of the time to get that power down on my shot tyres!!!

Like I said after the race, Kev deserved the win more than I did...

Actually I passed Bob for 4th on the last lap. I think he was carrying damage.

That was quite a race. My rain dance didn't work so I was left as tail end charlie for much of it (credit to Scott for dragging a podium out of his Cusco) but my race was decided when in the Lap 1 slipstreaming dice I overshot my braking for the L'Arche Chicane, followed Kev through the escape road but stupidly clipped a tyre barrier meaning I was carrying front left damage for the first 16 laps...doh!

Thoroughly enjoyed my battles with Neil (ANFD) in the 2nd stint. We must have been together for 15 laps, swapping positions sometimes 4 times per lap without so much as a scratch of paint. A pleasure racing with you sir!

So here are the results and updated GT300 points table with just the Nurburg Round to go.

So thats what happened on Lap 1. I was trailing behind and wondered why you two went straight ahead at the chicane...

Then I gave it a go too, 2 laps from the finish line, while chasing i-was-ere. Dozed off for a bit and nailed it hard into a barrier and wrecked the car :grumpy:

While limping for the last lap, David caught up to me before the countdown timer ended. I was wondering when Gadget would pass me, but alas he was too far back for me to cede my spot.

Overall an isolated battle-free race for me. Can't keep up with Knuk's and Plux's super pace.

Great race gents. Thanks.
