Is there any zombies gameplay yet? It's all well and good seeing Multiplayer and Campaign but I play about 20 times as much Zombies as these two combined.

I've always loved the campaigns of the Call of Duty series. Seeing as BLOPS 2 is going to have a Zombies campaign mode that's going to be even better. However, the one thing I detest about Call of Duty is the multiplayer. Ever since Modern Warfare 1, the multiplayer has been stale.

When I was playing MW2 at a friends the other day, every other lobby was full of trickshotting wannabes.

That's the exact reason I don't play modern warfare and normally not Black Ops multiplayer.

I have a nasty feeling this game is going to fail hard.

I hope it does really, I left cod after MW2 after months of game play. It all became the same and that's just not worth another 100 bucks, might as well just buy more map packs for the game than release a new one.
It's really not that great of a game, maybe all the fanboys who jumped on at black post will now disembark and leave them with no sales, it's gotta happen some day.

Treyarch's games are pretty original compared to IW's. MW3 was pretty much a carbon copy of MW2, yet the gameplay of the first Black Ops was pretty unique. So I'm hoping that it'll be a sucess, but I doubt it will. For example, this is the first COD game obviously set in the future (as opposed to the MW series where it was around 2012-2016, yet seemed like present day). But the only really futuristic things would be the XRAY-ACOG and the Robot-Animal-Thing (a tank would have been more realistic). I never really got why people hated the Treyarch games (apart from those who think quickscoping is a religion).

I have decided that the release pattern of DLC for this game will determine how much longer I am a fan of CoD. If the DLC comes out for all at the same time or first for PS3, I will continue to be a fan and buy it. If the DLC comes out for xbox first, I am not going to buy it, sell all my current CoD games, and never play any CoD game again.

Don't worry, I'm planning on buy a PS2 with the money I get from selling the games. I also need to save up for getting the next Pokemon game and save up for Animazment next year.

I'm probably going to take a lot of flak for this, but I think that the COD series is overrated. It's by no means a bad game, but I feel that the developers are just taking the same game and adding things like guns and maps to it, then shoving it out the door. I would prefer if the developers took their time and made a great game instead of releasing one every two years.

You won't get flak when you speak the truth. :)

Every CoD game just seems to be getting cheesier and cheesier. They are also cramming in all these scripted missions (like the Jet, and the HIND mission on BLOPS) to try and hide the outdated graphics and the fact its not actually changed very much in the last 5 games or so.

Well now im sure...

I won't buy it...

Future warfare with robots and flying things, and the same useless bad graphics in TreyArch games... :yuck:

Where is "Call of Duty" as we used to know it in that?

If they're gonna continue making the same games over and over, bring back CoD4, with focus on PC! :D

It's called innovation. Something IW stopped using a long time ago. IW moved from WWII to the present-day, why can't Treyarch move further? At least Treyarch support their games as well (even on PC). It looks like MW3 is getting none at all on the PC side.

You can't seriously say that TreyArch has moved on from WaW?
I mean they've put alot more stupid stuff into the games yes, but the gameplay and graphics are still the same old horrible in BO as in WaW, and it sure looks like it will be the same 🤬 in BO2.

Indeed, im glad I bought BF3 instead of MW3.

Games after MW2 (PC im talking about) have just been very bad. WaW was bad but playable.

Black Whoops and MW3 were just really bad...

I think I am done too with the CoD series.
I have been done with the COD series for a long time. Last COD I truly enjoyed was WAW. That was the most innovative COD game IMO. It had a 4 player co-op campaign, introduced 4 player co-op zombies, massive gore, death cards for the campaign and much more. I had so much fun with that game. Treyarch really nailed that one.

From that point forward the series just seems to have gone downhill. WAW was the last COD game I purchased. Now I just rent them. Always the same rinse and repeat games with the same cheaters, same bugs, same routine. Game gets released, has bugs and cheaters. Next cod is announced. Months later the bugs are fixed and dlc is released. Then rinse and repeat for the dlc. Then next dlc comes out, rinse and repeat then right after that the next cod game is released.

I have had way more fun with BF3 than any of the COD games. Would love to see Treyarch bring back another 4 player co-op campaign again. Releasing a COD game every single year is just rediculous. Was hoping BO2 would be good but I guess we will see. Doesnt sound like it will have a 4 player co-op campaign. I will stick with BF3. Halo 4 comes out a week before this game so if thats really good, I might not even bother renting BO2. However I do give Treyarch credit for supporting their games and their community. I cant stand IW.

*prepares for snobbish haters* Anyway, it looks pretty samey with some fancy scopes and killstreaks. I'll wait for some more gameplay videos before I make any kind of judgement.

I was thinking about purchasing but if it has the same connection issues that I have with MW3 then I won't buy. I always get 3 bars when I play MW3 but if I play any other CoD I get 4 bars. When you have 3 bars it is really tough to kill someone.

So, seeing through walls is confirmed for multiplayer? Lol. A method to thwart camping?

Right, now we just have campers who can see through walls. Spawn, prone, ADS to closet wall and wait for players to walk through the door with your in-game anti-camp wall hack.

That helicopter reminds me of BF2142.

Speaking of which, EA (or DICE. I get confused here) needs to make a sequel of BF2142. It's probably the best futuristic shooter I have ever played.

As for BO2, I won't be buying it. The last COD game I really enjoyed was World At War. After that, COD just went all out modern and didn't really change much. My brother is gonna buy this game and at least I could play some of it and see how it turns out :D

I'm still on the fence on whether or not to buy it. The only problem seems to be the anti-camper scope. Really liking the points allocations though 👍
