I'm gonna be pre-ordering the Hardened edition soon, I just wanna get past 100 MOABs (15 more I think) on Modern Warfare 3 before trading it in and forgetting about it completely.

Anyway has anyone found a decent price for Black Ops Pre-Order in England?
 
Never got to 100 - traded it at 88 under my belt and have no regrets at all.

It's only $20 more here in New Zealand. And considering I get Nuketown Zombies, extra camos, the OST and a bit more - I think it's worth it.

Depending on what the first DLC pack looks like, I might get the Season Pass.
 
So, anyone else picking this up on release or soon afterwards? This thread hasn't gotten much posts compared to the MW3 thread (and that was a worse game :scared:). Anyway, found this pretty cool Pick 10 online that allows you to create a class similar to what it'll be like in BO2.

Have pre-ordered the hardened edition a couple weeks back...

Traded in some old PS3 games (not that old lol, Fifa 12 etc etc...) and got the new NFS MW for free and half the price on the hardened edition of BO2 to PS3...

Normally I would buy shooter games on PC... But this year im getting it on PS3. :dunce:
 
I have the hardened edition pre-ordered and I'll be picking it up at midnight on the 12th. I'll be playing the campaign first but if anyone wants to play multiplayer feel free to add me on PSN. I'm not amazing by any means but I think I'd rate myself slightly above average.

I'm sure I will get it on or shortly after release, but if I play it very much depends on the zombie mode and how much my friends play it. I hate the zombie mode but my friends I play games with love it. I couldn't stand the last black ops, I think I gave up on it after about 2 weeks or so, but I did get into MW3 for awhile. I loved COD2, MW1, didn't care for MW2 all that much and couldn't stand black ops, but I did like MW3. I have a feeling this will be another down version of COD for me, but who knows. Hopefully it's a decent version.

Hopefully this version adds a few more non respawn game modes other then search and destroy. I'm an old socom 2 fan and just keep waiting for a game to come out that gives you that sense of accomplishment of winning and staying alive like socom did.
Also I don't know why you say MW3 was a worse game. We haven't even played black ops2 yet, so really we don't know how it is. Plus if it's like the original I'm sure I will like MW3 alot better.

MW3's a lot more chaotic, the spawns are horrid, it rewards people for doing badly (i.e. tag boosting, high-end Support Killstreaks, Deathstreaks), PTFOing isn't as rewarded as BO2, lots of OP perks and guns, FMG9s, quickscoping, FMG9s, Type 95, quickscopers, MOABs (everyone went for those instead of PTFOing), Dead Man's Hand, FMG9s.

Black Ops 1 is paced a bit slower, which imo is a good thing. You can actually think before running out and getting killed.

I have no idea what PTFOing is or OP perks and guns. The spawns are what really killed me about the first black ops. I don't know how many times before I finally gave up on it, I would spawn and immediately be killed by some sort of kill streak. That's the main reason I stopped playing it. Maybe a patch later on fixed it or something but on release black ops had the worst spawn system I have ever seen in a game.
 
That was the complete opposite for me. I always got people spawning behind me in MW3. At least the maps in Black Ops had a bit of flow.

PTFO means 'Play the 🤬 Objective' (it's used in Battlefield a lot) and OP in this case means 'Over-Powered.'
 
You must get lumped in with some real stupid players then in the Aussie region. I almost never run into that sort of stuff here in the States. Not to the degree that you seem to anyway. I've run into maybe .000001% QuickScopers and FMG9 idiots aren't as much of a nuisance as they were before they nerfed akimbo. It's greatly unfair to compare Objective rewarding between MW3 and BO2 considering MW3 was the first of the MWs to actually reward going for objectives to a higher degree. And honestly, if the perks and guns were so OP everyone would use the same setup. MOABs aren't even an issue. I can't even remember if I was ever hit by one, friendly or enemy, in a normal match. Only time I've ever even seen one was in an Infected match when it first got introduced and it was nothing but MOAB boosting. The only complaint of yours that I see regularly is people not going for objectives, and as annoying as it is there's no magical fix or new game that will make it go away. People who only care about their kills will always play that way. Given time you'll run into plenty of them in BO2 as well.

Most stores have the game now. I could get a copy tomorrow if I wanted to. I just don't wanna pay more to play only three days early.

Pre-Ordered mine from Play yesterday. £43 isn't bad I just know I can trust Play and I'm bulking up on super saver points. Got a couple hundred now. :D

I completely agree but by slow paced I think you mean bullet damage. You don't killed as quickly in black ops 1 but by no means is black ops 1 slower paced, it's the opposite. Black Ops is much faster paced than the rest of the CoDs as far as player movement, aiming speed and precision, as well as gameplay. The maps were tailored to high paced play so although you don't die as quickly in black ops (which I like), it's still faster paced.

I hate games like Halo where it takes an unrealistic amount of bullets to kill, but at the same time, I don't like games like MW3 where you have no chance when a weaker player gets the drop on you. I hate that because it promoted camping. Yea it's realistic, but it's not practical.

For me the perfect amount of bullet damage is what's in resistance 3, it's something in between black ops and BF3.

Black Ops 2s bullet damage is apparently in between MW3 and black ops 1. From the looks of it as well, player movement and overall pacing is the highest it's ever been which I like

My last COD game was Modern Warfare 2, but for some reason I have just ordered this as well. I enjoyed MW2, I got owned a lot, but hopefully I can sharpen my skills on the zombies before going on the proper multiplayer.
