After watching this interview its actually sounding more and more like the Battlefield 2: Modern Combat campaign. Those that played that campaign were able to warp from soldier to soldier, from tank, to sniper, to helicopter to anything on the battlefield at any time. The BO2 campaign sounds very very similar to that.

Only Strikeforce missions are gonna be like that from what I can gather. Sounds like these are missions away from the main story arc which consist of large scale sandbox battles.

Sounds fantastic though! :D

A friend showed this to me for the first time today. This is awful :yuck:. How can they even make games this terrible and painful to look at, it's 2012 for god sake.

Well I will be putting my money down on the counter on release day, however this is not because I buy all call of duty's. I've never owner a modern warfare, yet I've had WAW, Black ops and soon to be Black ops 2. I am Danny, and I'm a Zombies Fanatic :dopey: the messages about the zombies have really got me excited. I wish they would release a zombies trailer, that would be pretty amazing.

Let just hope nothing happens to game prices between now and then. I'm more than happy to pay £50 for my copy but if they charge about £60-£70 it may be a little too much for a game of zombies. Even though I'd more than likely still buy it :sly:

I might buy this for zombies. Trouble is they ruined it in black ops, the maps were too complicated, you could fly up to the moon in one. Stupid creature things that have no purpose other than to chase you for a bit.

Bring back nacht Der untoten, Der riese, Shi no numa and all the other great maps from WaW.
In nacht Der untoten you just had 4 rooms, a random box to get your weapons and a dozen windows. That's it. I'd much much much prefer to play that than the over complicated, ridiculous zombies on black ops.

You could get the WaW maps on BO1, I often play Der Riese and Verruckt more than Kino, ascension, shangri la etc...

Yes I know, my point was I want maps like those in WaW, simple and straightforward.
No doubt they will create the usual labyrinthine maps, with 50 rooms, lifts, teleport machine, shuttles to take you to other planets, and endless amounts of corridors :(

They more than likely are. I also hear the new game engine can do 48 zombies at once and 8 players :embarrassed:

I will rent this to check it out but I have not purchased a COD game since WAW. I truly enjoyed that game especially the 4 player co-op campaign with death cards. Had so much fun with paintball plus the addition of 4 player co-op zombies. That game was one of the most innovative COD games. I sure wish Treyarch would bring back 4 player co-op campaign again. These short 5-6 hour campaigns suck. I realize most people play the mp but there are a lot of people that still play the 4 player co-op campaign to this day in WAW.

This looks exactly like the kick in the *** that the COD series was needing: ie a decent single player experience. Dunno about anybody else but im sick of great non-COD shooters being passed over in favour of yet another round of the same multiplayer-online-focused overhyped behemoth that simply doesnt care about those without an internet connection.
Black Ops 1 was a step in the right direction. The sequel looks even better.
Iv always said that Treyarch did the best COD games because they at least put some effort into story and single-player experience, unlike Infinity Ward.

Maybe it could convince them not to put out CoD Modern Warfare 2.75

I agree, I hated Black Ops zombies because the maps were to big and complicated, they should've just stayed with the simple maps.

I also hate the multiplayer in a way for this reason in every game since WaW. I enjoyed the simplicity of 3 kill streaks, no stupid death streaks, and not 10 billion pointless customization options. Like I really care about the reticle on my sight or the camo on my gun.

Please tell me your trolling and not serious 👎

Sorry. But I'm serious. I just can't enjoy zombies. The only fun part I find about it are the massive easteregg puzzles you can solve..

I'm with you on that. WaW zombies were OK, but I get bored after a few rounds, I don't know how people have not only the skill, but the patience to get to round 50. Run to window, knife zombie, run to window, knife zombie, shoot zombie, repair windows, next round, run to window...

And the graphics are... Below par. I mean, BF3 has huge maps, vehicles and destruction and looks way better. That said, of they can bring something new and interesting to the table, along with vehicles, I'll be interested.

Gets a tad more complicated than that. Especially when you get to rounds 20+ on Co-Op and down without getting revived. If you spawn without enough for a weapon and Jug then you're about to have the hardest game of your life

If I really tried, I could get to levels a lot higher than 30+, I don't have the time though. It just gets really repetitive as well the higher you go. I was a big fan of zombies but once BF3 and MW3 came out, less and less people played Black Ops. I still have a game or two with some friends, but it's more casual and we usually just talk about random crap. I get too involved with trying for a MOAB in MW3, and I play the objective (sometimes :sly:) in BF3.

The gameplay reminded me of Killzone and the story / setting of something Ghost Recon would do. I thought the premise was pretty good but the graphics were so unremarkable its starting to get silly now.

IW and Treyarch have been basically milking the same engine since COD4 and its not impressive any more. They really need to stop selling you the same game year on year and overhaul graphics and gameplay. I guess they think if the formula works and brings in the mega bucks why change anything.

If this game had BF3 graphics then I would be quite interested.

I probably won't get this now. I was really interested in it but knowing that it's got timed-exclusive DLC again and the MP's gonna be the exact same, I won't. The only reason I would've gotten this was for the Zombies. And I've lost interest in that now :indiff:

Bad game is bad. I was not impressed with the E3 demo. I honestly forgot this game was coming out at all. That is saying alot considering how many days I have logged since COD4.

Sniper rifles with scopes that can see through and shoot through walls..... Multiplayer fail.

Not interested.

I doubt that X-Ray ACOG will be in MP. Although you've gotta charge each shot to get a kill, so I think that'll balance it out.

Now just to convince my friend not to get it :irked:

Bad game is bad.

Haters gonna hate. I find it more interesting than MW3 myself, and I'll probably end up buying it again this year even though I tell myself I won't. :S
One of the only reasons I still play CoD is because it's straightforward and fun. Sometimes I think games like BF3 can lose some of their entertainment value because it becomes way too serious, but I guess everyone likes different things.
