Here's a picture version of my Hockenheim redesign. Click it for an utterly massive version.

Why don't they use those tracks anymore? I remember seeing a 1980's video of Nigel Mansell inboard in his Ferrari going around there and just figures out what it was!
It was too long, and too difficult to access the far end of the circuit in the event of a serious accident.

Like Formula 1, circuits used for sports cars require a minimum FIA grading, and the extended Hockenheim circuit probably failed that requirement for the same reasons as Formula 1: the Ostkurve is simply too isolated. After all, the circuit is surrounded by forests that the circuit owners have no control over. In fact, I suspect it is a national park of some kind.

Furthermore, it would be very expensive to maintain the circuit when it would only get minimal use. The organisers probably decided that it just wasn't worth it.

Martin Brundle said he hated the old Hockenheim. It might be popular with fans, but the race was always won by the driver with the most powerful engine. Everyone else simply sat for long periods of time with their foot to the floor, waiting the next corner and the chance to do something.

It's good, but there's absolutely no way they would use the squiggly little bit at the top or that bit through the car park.

Yea, I'm not a huge fan of the car lot part either, just wanted to break up the long straights a little, will make changes, working on a different part of Qingdao too

It's known that the Qingdao circuit will be 3.87 miles (6.22 kilometres) long, so there's something else you can work with.

I made an as-yet-unnamed track that F1 may or may not like:

Although two crossovers? The short loop bits should REALLY be brought away from them so there's actual space for the track to increase in height properly. Drag strip bit is completely flat.

Here's a nice one I made just now:

I'm not sure what this course would be located. The name I got from my creativity :P Here's a bit of description on each sector:

Overdrive Sector
It starts off from a tight but surprisingly wide hairpin similar to La Source on Spa. Then it squishes tightly when you enter onto the slowly descending straight. Don't let the scenery fool you.

Platinum Overpoint
Begins from a blind corner up a hill through some sharp turns until you loop back downhill.

Cobalt Esses
Gets tighter as you progress through the esses, so watch with caution.

Capra Lake (unnamed straight)
A lengthy bridge over an indulging sea.

Viper Sector
Pass through several blind sweepers to another straight.

Ghost Sector
Sudden kinks approach you until tight turns downhill into descending sweepers.

Palace Sector
Similar to Viper Sector's, but it is approached slowly due to small space.

Pit Lane
It's just a couple of inches off the track, and exits off by a margin of the road to yield.

Variations - Ghost, SpeedTrap
Ghost is just the Ghost Sector.
SpeedTrap is all the other sectors, plus a route to boost the speed (see Palace Sector).

It's still going to feel like a go-kart circuit.

I notice that you call it "Forne de Capra GP". Therefore, I take it that you intend for this to be a Grand Prix circuit, suitable for Formula 1. In that case, the longest a circuit can be is 7.50km, or 4.66mi. However, most new circuits are not more than 5.50km, or 3.41km. So this circuit is twice as long as it is allowed to be.

Oh, okey dokey. I don't feel like changing it again so I'll just leave it there. And to my perception, it isn't anything like a go-kart circuit. I'd imagine it would be like Monaco or Macau.
