About the C7,
Does anybody knows how many model there is ?
I've looked and it seems theres over 20 variations, theres even one with camaro taillight

Those are just artist's renditions of what it could look like, which is common practice when a new car isn't released yet, basically just visual speculation.

Yep...

Look at the last link I posted. The real thing is on there. The exact one that is showing up in GT5

wow this thread has grown. been 2 days since I posted which was on page 16 i think. It shows many of us still play GT5 great to see that. nIce to have a game who gets dlc 2years plus from its release. can't wait to drive that vette soon.

I think our next mystery may be to find out who Spartan is.:odd:

Master_chief_(1).jpg

Maybe these Spartan's are related? No one really knows who either of them are at first... Maybe SpartanUK Will reveal himself in the near future?

To comply with company policy, I am disclosing I am a GM employee, and all views and opinions are my own and not those of GM.

Dust off your PS3's. It will be playable before the end of the....oh wait, I can't say that

Month maybe? Hopefully? I Cant see being the "... end of the year" as its very close to Detroit and the second post says "Long before Detroit" Hmmm... And the plot thickens...

However, I do believe that Spartan and GM'er are 2 different people... Spartan did "predict" a non-GM related event. This means we have 2 different sources saying the same thing.

Just call him the Master Chief.

Very interesting, I wonder how high up he ranks in the GM chain. Although I'm guessing it's pretty high if he's able to disclose that kind of info.

This news story on CorvetteBlogger.com http://www.corvetteblogger.com/2012...orvette-spotted-on-gran-turismo-5/#more-12412 Plus everything you just posted shows there is a huge buzz going. "Before the end of the".......HMMM

Maybe Kaz just wanted to tease us for some future DLC?

Did you guys stop to take a look on the license plate, you can see it says Jan 13, what if that's when the car will be released? January 2013

Actually that is the expected reveal date for the car when it is shown at the 2013 Detroit auto show. So for starters we'll hopefully get the camo car before that date and the real one after that.

My guess based on Spartan's and GM'er's posts, it's that the camo'ed C7 will be released around at the beggining of December (maybe with more cars/tracks), before the actual uncamoed car gets displayed on Detroit.

End of the month? Yeah. Probably.
End of the year? That's where I would place my bets.

We had DLC, and then, an update. That was not so long ago. They can't give us everything at once. So I am really looking at December.

If it happens anytime early, I'll...shave my eyebrows LOL! :dopey: Hey! At least I'm not giving away my manhood. Unlike some others... :dunce:

The car's already in the game. Accounted for and everything. With the amount of attention its received, waiting till the end of the year wouldnt be such a wise idea, I would imagine from a wanting-to-keep-fans-happy point of view...

In the famous words of Adam Savage...

I reject your reality and substitute my own. :sly:

You are absolutely right. As a "wanting-to-keep-fans-happy point of view", that is how things should go.
However, I believe more in "things-already-planned-and-scheduled" theory. :dopey:

With this I'm not saying that you are wrong, if anything, I might be wrong.
Time will tell. :dopey:

Perhaps a two year anniversary celebration. Gift on the anniversary of the game release. As a current vette owner I would be glad to see another pretty face out there.

CorvetteConquer approves this thread and the mighty Corvette. 60 years of lovely cars. Can't wait to drive this in GT5!

I just saw on the news page somebody asked what regions this is showing up in. Maybe these c7's are only showing up in North American regions or America since this is an American car? What regions are the people that have seen this so far? I'm kind of curious.

Could it be that the American or North America region will get it first? Speculation based on SpartanUK's post below.

Just wait a little longer, you all... (well, some of you - the luckiest ones - might wait a little less... :D )

It's showin up in all regions mate, as Priesty who posted pics early on in the thread is UK based :-)

As for the luckiest one's to get it first......

Stealth & Chromeline owners? :sly: just kidding lol, I'd say if will be through a special time trial/race Seasonal Event. The car being the prize for getting gold/first place

This is all well and good, but I think the new VIPER (already been released ) would be a better installment....

... but a new car is still great. Looking forward to seeing what /how they do this 👍

"before the end of the..." "Long before Detroit"

Sounds like November to me, which is what I've been expecting. There isn't much reason to add a camouflaged car in January and I don't think the car would be added now if we couldn't use it for a month or more.

There are a couple of interesting dates this month (not that they will necessarily have anything to do with the in-game Vettes' release)

15th - GT5 Time Trial
15th - video release (One13thirteen.com)
24th - two year anniversary of GT5
29th - GT5 Time Trial
29th - video release (One13thirteen.com)

I am seriously about to lose it here, guys. Being the Corvette freak that I claim to be, this news is in a word, groundbreaking for me. I want this car for Xmas, Kaz! Make it happen!:drool:

This ordeal has little more depth to us. For my youngest son, who plays GT5 daily and is a big Corvette fan. His birthdate is 1/13/03. Just really brings this event home. Should mention he was 3 months premature. Very lucky to have him and to boot he is Has no side effects from it. Anyway, He spent the evening looking online for all the info he could find. LoL

Wow, what a nice story man! :) I smile when I read this kind of stuff on GTP. Our love for cars and racing games, the passion being passed from dad to son.

Really wish the next birthday will be fantastic for your son! Take care of the little Vette lover!

:)
