I can't wait for this.. There's just so many questions that nobody (except for SpartanUK) have the answers to.
Polyphony really works in a strange way. Normally that really makes me mad, but it's been a while since there's been so much good hype for this game.. It's amazing, considering how old it is.
Hopefully we'll know more soon.
Or maybe SpartanUK will finally just tell us instead of these little teasers that have us going in circles.

What a waste of time. First they give us an unfinished game. Two years on, we see an unfinished car. I'll never understand what goes through PD's heads...

I am very exited to test C7 in the game. I am actually considering of purchase the real deal when it comes out. (although it is only one few possibilities for my new car)

Only thing I must say is I hope the real version of it will be released. Still wanting it either way because hey it is another car to play with.

Well personally I'm the same as him regarding the masked version, I don't care to drive a car looking like that although I disagree with his likeness that it's unfinished in the same way the overall game. This is "unfinished" on purpose. If I still played GT5 regularly and had something to do with the proper revealed car I might buy it but there isn't, so I won't. Good car to add though.
By the way you used that meme incorrectly.

Which would have been fine if he had kept to stating opinion, and not assertions like "waste of time". The fact that more than zero people appreciate the inclusion proves that it was not a waste of time - waste implies no worth, and only PD can value their own time. Also "unfinished car" is just plain facaetious, and "paying [?!] to drive around under a tarpaulin" is the much-needed comedy, of course.
Just another grump continuing the cycle of expecting too much of others, and not enough of their self.
You seem to dissect and over think comments far too much. Obviously it was just his opinion it's a waste of time.

But sadly, that's just how it works!
I can tell you GT5 is a great game, but only because I can compare it to other examples of it's time.
I prefer PD over EA because PD sticks to it's roots and does it's own thing and what they know is best for it's customers, while EA grab for money at such a rediculous level, launching a game as 'full' while holding back DLC in the sidelines!
When GT6 comes out, it will likely be an amazing game, but that doesn't mean GT5 isn't amazing now....

I hear you. But you never know. That's why a while back I said "i am just going to wait patiently for it to come". I am also wondering as you may know when a car manufacturer releases the final result of the car to be made after testing it will either have 6 months to the next year's date on the model of it.
So i am wondering if this car will be releasing at this next big Detroit auto show and maybe shortly after the same model with be in GT5. Who knows hahaha grabbing popcorn
Hahaha i actually just made that. I tried. I got a application on the android market to make them. So hahaha i know probably could have been better. But hey it is my first try making one.

Which in real life they use it to make it really hard to figure out what car it is and the new shapes of the car. I have seen this many times in Michigan over many years. They do this before the final testing is done. But i do understand that guys reasoning to wanting to have the real thing and final result in the game but I would like to have both too

But I just explained how that isn't "opinion". How can he have an opinion on something he has no insight into? It might be a waste of his time to drive the thing; but that's his choice, so he should quite easily be able to avoid it.
The problem with some posters is precisely that they don't think about their comments at all. If people are just going to vent mindlessly, they should expect some kind of reaction.
To be clear, I'm not overly bothered about the car at all. I quite like the way PD have "hidden" it, though. The tarp is an obvious "requirement" for its early inclusion, and my opinion is that it looks awful (although it's very well modeled / authentic-looking) and I would rather not "drive" something that looked like that. But I think the idea / point is that we "see" how it drives, not how it looks - obviously, in a game, the accuracy of that experience is questionable, but it's great for car fans, for PD and clearly for Chevrolet - so its inclusion has obvious value. And that means it's not a waste at all.

All he said was that, in effect, PD aren't doing what he wants ("waste of time"). Is the best use of PD's time to do only what that one individual wants? If no, then his opinion is provably wrong.

Time. PD can use it for whatever they choose.
They chose to use time to model a masked Corvette.
He thinks that PD wasted their time doing that, ergo in his opinion it was wasted time. PD might believe it wasn't a waste of time but it's not something you can prove as fact, it's each persons idea of how best to use time. He thinks they wasted their time, you and other people don't.
I really don't see how there is a problem with that. The way you're talking the only person/people that can ever judge if something was a waste of time is the person directly using the time.

Bingo. It's a bit like advice: have you ever "offended" someone by not "following" their "advice"? If they expect you to do as they've said you should ("if I were you"; "but you're not"), it's not advice. It's a very similar level of egomania being displayed in both cases. "I'm more important".
If you still don't see, ask yourself: why is the C7 a waste of time? That wasn't explained in the original post at all (outside of "don't want", but PD don't cater to individuals, nor can they effectively in their chosen medium, so it's strange to expect it), and as such it's not really an opinion so much as a childish assertion.
EDIT: If he's thinking all we're going to get is the camo'd version, I think he probably wants to re-read the thread / news / remember the GTR in 5 Prologue. That's a pretty daft assumption.
So if a PD employee spent the day playing Angry Birds and Kaz found out he wouldn't be able to say he thought the employee was wasting his time, because it was the employees time and it's up to him to judge how he uses his time? Sorry I don't buy that, anyone can form an opinion if they think someone is wasting time or not. It doesn't make them right or wrong, but they can have that opinion.

Oh, I didn't realise he'd commissioned PD to make this game for him. I can see why he'd be upset, now, $60 million is a lot of money.
It's probably just a scan of the camo'd car. Nice and easy, (although I can't tell if it has an interior, probably not).
