Nismo34Bit much wouldnt you say? I was simply saying what I would have said... Jesus, no need to get all up tight about it.
Lol, sorry, that guy was doing my head in, they know perfectly well what i'm getting at, just interfering for interferings sake!

ToronadoEveryone did know what you were getting at. It's just that what you were getting at ("If you don't like what PD is doing for GT5, then just stop coming to GTP") is a complete load, hence "I'm tired of people saying GT Planet is dedicated to GT5 when that is not true at all."
Seriously tho guys, everyone just needs to relax a bit and just go back to playing the game or whatever. I can understand the excitement, but some of you are treating this like the second coming of Christ, lol. Just relax, the car will get here in due time.
apart from all
who would like to drive a car in the game with this camouflage?
GTPlanet is focused primarily on the Gran Turismo series, hence the name!
It has also occured to me just now that including this car there are only 3 base model vettes in the game.
I have no luck getting the C7 demo Anyone can guess what sort of pp the car will be ? I may want to try arcades races, see if it shows up as opponent car.
A track you can do is go into options, go to demo, set the Max Demo time to 10 seconds and set the interval the demo comes on to 10 seconds (Make sure to have "Display" checked). Then when the on-track demos start, press R1 or L1 and it'll skip straight to another display. You could likely get it to show up in less time.
What a waste of time. First they give us an unfinished game. Two years on, we see an unfinished car. I'll never understand what goes through PD's heads...
Certainly not paying to drive around under a tarpaulin and gaffer tape.

I don't like driving interior-less cars in GT5, so I'll be happier when I can drive the final version.apart from all

I agree with your point, but someone might say it was a waste of time modelling the non-final version of the car when we should be getting it in full in January. The model of this version won't become obsolete once we get the "real" version. It's not really a waste since I can see some mean looking photos being taken of it. Generational side-by-side photos of the Premium Corvettes, whatever looks cool.Ok so go find a pic or a video of the C7 whit out the camo or the covers
It's TOTALLY unique having this "camo" version of the C7 using this medium. It's GT, one of the most popular "video games" in the world. And we'll never get to see this exterior in the real world, unappealing or not. I actually love the look. What'll suck is that PD will likely not add the interior to the "camo" version when they've given us the final. It's just PD. Think about the many concept cars and novelty cars like the WWII vehicles and SambaBus. It's unique having something like this and in a game when no other game will have it (probably).
As long as the interior's modeled this time. The Black Mask GT-R's isn't, right?
Aw, no acronym will suffice to describe my laughter just now...
Way to overreact. More time was wasted by people responding to my last comment than the guy who modelled a wrapped-up car!
My point elaborated: Going to the trouble of modelling a camouflaged test car smacks of having too much time on one's hands. I just don't get the point. A picture of it isn't something we can't easily find on Google Images. Alright, we may not even have this version as a driveable car in the game. Personally, I'd have had them model up another car which has actually been released (with the manufacturer's permission of course). The new Viper would've been nice...

First, mock. Then, that?Aw, no acronym will suffice to describe my laughter just now...

I'd just like to add that this is probably one of the most interesting developments that's been in GT5 ever. A fun surprise. A neat publicity stunt. Most of us are car nuts to begin with and a new model of one of the most iconic and successful sports cars is a highly anticipated event. I love seeing those camo shots in car magazines and try to discern the actual appearance.
Sure the new Viper is a big deal too but the Corvette's heritage makes any major redesign a media event.
Jesus, you really can't let it drop can you? Stop the presses folks, you can no longer express what you do and don't want in this (or any) game, it's not your game.
No it doesn't. We don't even know the details of its inclusion yet, nor can we automatically assume that they will put it into the game the same way that they did with cars in the past, so currently the only appreciation people can get from PD's effort is looking at the pictures of it in this thread.
No you didn't. You did a little game of wordplay, directly mocked a couple people and then acted like the matter was settled. And while that's pretty rich for you of all people to do that, you didn't do anything towards proving his "assertion" wrong.
If you could actually apply the concept of demonstrably false opinions to this situation, you already would have by now, because:
I would assume that the best use of PD's time would be not doing something that contributes directly (if you want to assume that this will be exactly the same situation as the Black Mask GT-R) towards something that PD promised they would tone down doing in response to people taking issue with them doing it. If that was the basis for him saying PD was wasting their time, his argument in practical terms is little different from when PD makes DLC versions of cars already in the game.
I'm going to keep this one for future use. Should come quite in handy any time you express an opinion about something PD decides to do regarding the direction of the series from now on. Because apparently if you aren't bankrolling it, you aren't allowed to say anything now.
Which is still appreciation on some level, I've enjoyed the thread and the process of verifying the car's existence in the game. Not a waste.
It only takes one person to enjoy it and there was good reason to include it, especially when the overall impact to the rest of the game is unlikely to have been anything measurable.
Just the viral marketing effect of the "revelation" will benefit PD.
Since the idea of people thinking that PD would model a car as part of a publicity stunt and then do something weird with their implementation in the game is so daft, isn't that NSX that they modeled and showed driving on a fictional GT5 track so much fun to use in GT5?EDIT: If he's thinking all we're going to get is the camo'd version, I think he probably wants to re-read the thread / news / remember the GTR in 5 Prologue. That's a pretty daft assumption.
All of which would have been fine if the original poster said any of this, so at best you're just putting words in his mouth (which is pretty rich for you of all people.)
Who said that? You jumped to the same stupid conclusion Simon did, based on what? A bit of sarcasm? Well done.
Another guess, Something will happen at the reveal. Basically PD will be in the house and this is when a code will be made available. Maybe have to visit the local GM dealer to get a code.
