Fairly certain that facebook is real. R1600Turbo being who he is, I can't see why he wouldn't be friends with Kaz.

Thanks, but I'm nobody special... I think he just accepts any requests.

It just seemed legit to me, considering what he posts there. 👍

LOL... well I took the bait. I sent him a FR and told him I'm just a big fan. I don't get star-struck but it'd be cool to have Kaz as a friend.

@Deko Wolf thanks , so we know it's there, but everything else is speculation, that sounds vague enough to be a PD trope alright :)

The first few years of the Corette, before the SBC came into production, or at least before it became an option for the Corvette there was only one model available. I'm not an expert on the Corvette, but I don't think it had a V8 until 1957 or 1958. Before then it was the 6 cylinder and there were no other major packages for it that changed it from a base model to something greater.

Read what bigbear :D quoted.
Has anybody seen this ?

Word got around pretty quick.

I liked this bit-
"We put a call in to Chevy to ask what the deal was: All they would say is that Chevy is working closely with the Sony to offer players of GT5 an authentic driving experience with the new Corvette. Chevy said more details would be available at a later date." -Jake Lingeman, Autoweek

Sounds good to me.

The Corvette came standard with the Blue Flame Six from the get-go, but gained a 265 cubic inch V8 in 1955. The Blue Flame was discontinued a year later in 1956, the V8 being vastly more popular. 👍

It's wearing a sock with only the windows and roof uncovered so only those parts reflect the environment, it's not camoflage panels.

EDIT: oops, was only on first page.

I knew I might have been off by a year or two. Thanks for the correction. 👍

Aisin 8-speed semi-confirmed for the automatic transmission. (it is what IS-F has, world's fastest "slush-box" automatic)

So this morning I turned on the PS3 and started GT5, then started messing around on the computer for a few minutes. I didn't enter GT Mode and the games started showing the random cars, photo locations and races. I glanced up and saw a camouflaged car and thought it was the GT-R Black Mask. I couldn't believe it at first because it didn't make any sense. It was a Corvette covered in camouflage panels! I immediately went into the dealership and looked for it but it's not there, so I have only seen it in the intro movie. I did manage to get to my phone and snap a pic before the animation changed to a race. Did I miss news about this car being added?

That is a c6

Haha, why would you just reply to the OP without reading any single reply?

I really laughed and almost choked on my cigarette while reading his post SimonK

Do you guys think the C7 Proto will have no cockpit like the GTR Proto? Or just a blacked out frame like the standard cars? ( The GTR Proto never did receive a frame cockpit view last time I remember :/ )

As I only use first person view this is something I'm really curious about myself. I see four distinct possibilities:

No cockpit view
Blacked out cockpit (standard style)
Camouflaged cockpit (like some spy shots have captured)*
Full premium cockpit

While revealing the full interior seems unlikely I do hope for some sort of first person view. The camo' cockpit would be pretty ugly but probably the most realistic option. And as far as the GT-R's go, the Proto still doesn't have any cockpit but the Black Mask has a full
premium interior.

Obviously trying to be a snark or something! :yuck:

Probably. Who knows. Probably just doing it to troll or get people angry. I think sometimes people don't know when that type of shenanigans are funny and just annoying. Maybe this video will help with that determination hahaha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFZG8KQJni8&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Anyway i am not sure why they would put any variations of the model as in looks and designs of the base model in the game. Maybe the z06 and zr1 and lt1 right if they make those though. I mean they are supposed to be getting the info and specs straight from Chevrolet anyway

The day this thread started marked the day that Kaz fell out of love with GT-Rs...and moved onto 'Vettes! :P

Can just imagine Kaz's presser for the release of the car now:

'Thank you everyone for the hype, I really hope you enjoy this car now available for free in the dealership. Except, DarkAvengerZR1. You were blasphemous and shall be punished.'
