I think S2 will be F1 2012 or that will be S3 who knows?

Probably S2 F1 2012

Spain:

Qualified 7th, 0.5 seconds off the pace, my closest to pole yet.
Race was horrible. Vettel spun me in the first corner and broke my front wing. I went into the pits to get it repaired and took to much speed and ran into the pit entry wall, terminally damaging my car. Finished 24th at my team's home grand prix. Oh well, maybe I'll win at Valencia, our other home grand prix :) Webber took the win, meaning I'm now 8points behind him in the drivers championship. Next up, Monaco :) Maybe I'll get pole? :)

EDIT: Monaco

Qualified in 1st, 0.047 seconds ahead of Webber. My time was a 1:12.5xx, and it was enough to beat those expert AI

Race: Everything went well, and I beat 2nd (Rosberg) by 10 seconds! Got fastest lap as well. And lapped Liuzzi, whose HRT isn't going as fast as mine :)

As Webber finished outside the points, I'm now once again leading the championship :)

Drivers Championship:
1. Me 96points
2. Webber 79points
3. Rosberg 62points
4. Alonso 60points
5. Heidfeld 40points

Constructors Championship:
1. Red Bull 116points
2. HRT 96points
3. Mercedes 90points
4. Ferrari 81points
5. Lotus-Renault 66points

Red Bull is running away with the title, though the fight for 2nd is actually quite close :) I'm really enjoying the challenge, and I think I'm going to stick with HRT for my whole career. By season 5 Liuzzi will be driving a tier 1 car, and he'll be outqualifying me at most tracks, except Monaco :) My goal for this career is to win the constructors championship with HRT :)

Indy- yeah if there is a S3 it will be 2012.

jcm- Its a big ask to win the costructors with just one driver scoring points isnt it?

Racing tonight, ill invite members as usual. Ill be on 8pm GMT.

I am thinking about running a full distance race on a Sunday evening, post if you are interested in competing 👍

I couldn't do it on a Sunday unless it was at midnight for gmt. I could do a full distance race Monday.

In a future season. Though my car isn't going to get ant better, Liuzzi's car will go from being an HRT, to being as fast as a Williams in one season. The AI works on a tier system like this

Tier 1: McLaren, Red Bull, Ferrari (fastest)
Tier 2: Mercedes, Lotus-Renault (a bit off the pace, fights for a rare win)
Tier 3: Sauber, Toro Rosso (more off the pace, fights for a rare podium)
Tier 4: Force India, Williams (very off the pace, sometimes has to fight just for points)
Tier 5: Caterham, Marussia, HRT (extremely off the pace, fights for very rare points)

Every season the the best team in each tier goes up, and the worst team in each tier goes down. So for example, if Williams scores more points then Force India they'll be in tier 3 with the loser of tier 2 (either Mercedes or Lotus-Renault).

Hopefully HRT will beat Caterham and Marussia, and if we beat them we'll move up to tier 4. While my car won't change at all next season, Liuzzi will be driving a car just as fast as a Williams, and he might get into the points sometimes :) If we finish highest in that tier, then for season 3 we'll be in tier 3 and so on. It's designed so that in theory either Caterham AI driver could win the drivers championship in season 5. It's actually a pretty decent system, so that potentially in season 5 I could be fighting for the championship with Liuzzi :) Hopefully in season 4/5 we'll win the constructors championship. Should be a fun career :)

Montreal:
I qualifyied dead last (very wet session), as I never finished a lap. Massa decided to ram me into the wall, then Rosberg decided to drive straight into me. I got a 10-spot grid penalty because I 'blocked Rosberg which caused him to drive into me'. I was already going to be off the pace in the wet quali, so I only would've gotten about 19th anyway. Oh well, in the dry I'm pretty conpetitive, so with a little luck I could get a podium :)

Flooder- Unlikely for me I am afraid mate, do you work on Sundays then?

jcm- I had no idea the cars got better via the tier system. Its a good idea, maybe thats why Barrichello was qualifying 10th on average in S2 and only 17th in S1 (in my career with Williams)

Yeah that's why. I doubt Liuzzi will score much in seasons 1-2, but in season 4-5 he'll be outqualifying quite a lot :)

This game is really different from GT5, I qualified last for my first race with Williams. Though I like the whole strategy and team aspect so far.

It is not the kind of game you can pick up and be good instantly (thank god) but its more satisfying winning here than GT5 for me somehow.
Glad you got the game Ronin 👍

Shame man, Wed nights are for the main championship with the occasional special event on a Sunday evening.
At least you can join us for our racing sessions throughout the week instead 👍

WHAT!

In this day and age, with Hi def television just around the corner and the internet reportedly coming to Wales in 2015 you cant record stuff! Havent you ever heard of Betamax

I'm up for the full distance race on Sunday Brett as long as it starts a bit earlier around 6ish

Ok, 6 would be fine with me. Anyone else just let me know 👍

Indy- Monaco yes, I dont know about the other one. I am not talking next Sunday, it will be the one after probs 👍

Oh, I was agreeing more to the time slot rather then the distance. I'd vote for 50% distance, though I'm cool with either. If there's a tie the don't count my vote, as I'm cool either way :)

More confusion!

The poll at the top is for this championship......we are talking about a one off race on a sunday. Like a special event :D

It seems I am not very good at explaining things :)

Not to worry, I am sure we will get a few more names and we can run a full distance race early June 👍

It doesn't help when the people you are explaining it to are a little slow :dunce:

:D

Montreal:
Race: Starting from last, I was hoping for podium at best. Carnage in turn 1, safety is brought out. I pit right away for prime tyres, meaning I won't need to make another stop. On lap 4 it's back to green. Everyone pits on lap 6/7, and I end up in front due to not having to pit :) Webber and Vettel are right behind me, though they each end up spinning on the final corner, meaning Webber's out of the points and Vettel's 7th. I hold onto the victory, and the home crowd was thrilled :D

Just did Valencia:
Quali: I crashed out after my first lap, so instead of being around 4th I got 9th instead.
Race: I got a good start, 2nd by the end of lap 1, 1st by the end of lap 2. Held onto the lead for my 4th win of the season, 3rd in a row. Hometown idol Alonso and his teammate Massa finished on the podium with me. Both Red Bulls retired meaning HRT now leads the constructors standings :D

Drivers Championship:
1. me 146points
2. Webber 79points
3. Alonso 78points
3. Rosberg 70points
5. Hamilton 55points

Contructors Championship:
2. HRT 146points
3. Ferrari 132points
3. Red Bull 122points
4. Mercedes 99points
5. Lotus-Renault 96points
6. McLaren 92points

I'm starting to build a gap in the drivers championship, which should help me get through some of the tougher races. And suprisingly HRT is leading the constructors championhip :odd:. I doubt it'll last, but maybe :) Very close fight for teams 1-3, though even closer for teams 4-6. Very exciting season :) I might also do Silverstone tonight.

jcm- It seemsto be going according to plan. There is no minimum lap rule for tyre compounds then?

Indy- Cool man, we can do Canada first ifyou like. (this message does not pertain to this championship :))

It's actually good timing that you brought that up. I did Germany and Hungary and a certain 7-time world champion decided that if he never pit at all in Hugary no one would notice. Luckily for him, the stewards never did notice and he won the race! The only rule is that you have to either use both dry compounds, or at least one wet compound, and this rule only applies in races 20% or higher. The AI can cheat and ingore this rule but if you're human you will be disqualified.

Germany:
Had a tough quali, just 13th, 1.7s off the pace. In the race I was reasonbly quick, and I finished 3rd, behind Alonso and Petrov (who had good tyre strategy).

Hungary:
Had a good quali, 5th, 0.5s off pole. I got a good start, and got out in front. After the pitstops the cheater (schoemaker) and Alonso were ahead of me. I made a silly mistake on the last lap and Sutil got past me for third, meaning that I finished 4th.

Now 13 different drivers have been on the podium, from 8 different teams. I'm now at 198points, 67 ahead of Alonso. The easy part of the calender is ending for me, and the races are going to start getting really hard. It's not really about wins anymore, now it's just about beating Alonso as much as possible. Should be close :)

And Canada sounds good :)

jcm- cheers for the info. but you didnt mention the minimum lap rule, can you do one lap on prime and then carry on using softs for the rest of the race on the game?

SM- Cool mang ill post on here when we get it sorted, its just a shame that we cant have Q1-3 :(
