I'd be in for a special event on Ovals. Non points race type of deal.

On that I have a left hander 3/8 oval that is stellar.

I'm thinking about doing an "all-star break" in the middle of the season where we run our normal schedule but do a couple short races on ovals or something. Not for points, just for fun. A lot of us do enjoy running our Cappy's around in circles. :dunce:

I see your point Brandon, but since this track is nowhere near wide open, the 2 corners are actually corners and require as much skill to negotiate as any other corner on any track. At 55 laps or so for 28 minutes, that's 110 corners...lose a couple of tenths on each one and you are lapped once or twice easily. Mine is not left handed though which would be cool. I'd like to try the left hander. I think it would be good fun to at least give it a good test run at some point.

With all the time and money and hoopla surrounding this game, it's surprising the course maker is so crappy, and even moreso that you can't choose the direction your car is going.

That's my biggest complaint.....if they let us choose the direction then the possibilities would grow tremendously! Basically, for every 1 track you create you'd get 2! I have this desire to create a complex like Cape Ring where 1 track spawns several smaller tracks depending on which section you use.....but that's not really possible with the course maker right now. Also.....fix Mt. Aso!! Every front-stretch on that track is a roller-coaster of hills and to me, that ruins it because every track you create from there is going to share some section with every other track created from that map. A roller-coaster front-stretch is fine for a few tracks but not every single one!! I don't even bother making tracks on that map anymore, they're all under 2 miles and way to hilly. :(

Hey, is it to late to get in on this series? I'm new to the forum and would like to get in on this... If not, I'll post my name/car/days info.

Not too late, we've got plenty of room. Get me your info and I'll add you.

Tuesday: Sometimes
Friday: Sometimes
Saturday: Sometimes
Primary Points Night: Varies

My work and class schedule vary from week to week, so I can't commit to the same primary points night for every round, I should be able to make at least 1-2 racing nights per week though....

No problem, as long as you can get 1 race in per week than you get your points for the week. I don't think we're in any danger of having rooms fill up right now so not having a primary night should be ok.

Im in tonight. Havnt had much practice, should be opening to taps later tonight when i get back home.

I have to say, it made my day to see someone's first post was to register for the Capp Cup!! lol :)

Also, we're neighbors! I live in Anderson which is about a half-hour NW of New Castle. Ever been to the giant karting facility over there? I've always wanted to check it out but never have.

We now officially have 3 Hoosiers in the Capp Cup............I sense a clan forming..........:dopey: lol

Don't have ta worry bout that, that place really went downhill after I left!

Just don't try to convince me that Gary is a beautiful city.

We dis-owned Gary years ago, it's considered part of Chicago by most Hoosiers. I've driven through it several times, freaking stinks around there! Literally.

Mudd, sorry bud but once a Hoosier always a Hoosier! Once it's in your blood there's no getting rid of it, kinda like a virus.

Proud to be! I've actually got a lot of 'kin in the Wheatfield area.:)

Wheatfield is a bunch of farm land about 45 min south of Valpo

Just a reminder, Round 2 begins tonight @ 8:15pm EDT at Laguna Seca. I should have my lounge open around 7pm EDT for an hour of open practice before the race. If you have a chance, let me know if you will/will not be attending so I have an idea of who should be there.

See you all tonight in sunny California!!

I believe somewhere in the 1:40s. I don't remember the exact numbers though.

What lap times are we running at Laguna?

In preliminary testing my notes show I was running around a 1:40, but that was just a 5 lap run to get an idea of how many laps would be needed. I'd say the top drivers could probably be around 1:37-:38 with a good tune and some practice? I know I'm looking forward to being at a track with a little more grip! I still can't get over how slippy Cape Ring was, I think that caught a lot of us off guard but sure did make for some interesting races!

I've been kinda busy and havn't been able to try other tracks yet, but I'm really hoping all the grip adjustments we made for Cape are gonna pay off at the better grip tracks.

I've been hanging around the boards for a while, finally decided to register and post... lol

I make out to NCMP every now and then, a buddy of mine races the weekly series, and I try to catch the major touring series' when the come through town.

Perhaps some Hoosier domination will take over the Capp Cup!!!

I ran about 10 solid laps last night after playing with my setup a bit, my quickest time was a 1:39.5**... I'm using a controller, so someone with a wheel might be able to take some time off of that.

Just FYI: I'll be racing on Friday night, as I'm on duty tonight and Saturday.

Welcome to the series, but make sure to read the OP closely, it's against the rules for the 'new guy' to come in and dominate our lap times! :sly:
