Do you people think this somewhat represents a Peugeot 905? I screwed the front up a little. I also tryed to use a picture to help me.
Here is the picture I used.

Wee, another random car design!
I call it the Blackbird and it is a gas turbine powered supercar comparable to the S7TT, Murc LP640, and Ferrari Enzo. It is powered by a Rolls Royce Model 250-C40B turboshaft helicopter engine that puts out 715 hp (613 hp continuous). It has a targa style roof, power windows, air conditioning, and all the other little things that can make your drive easier :)
I am also doing a 3d model of it aswell.

The top view is a tad on the narrow side though...

GT4 defistation; i can define the 905, it looks like a sad car, i personally don't like the lamp design. Some stuff not in symmetry, spoiler bent.. umm did your read the post above yours? i wrote a bunch of stuff to help sketch better.

venom800tt; the design is pretty sleek, lines are clean and lines are pretty straight for freehand, nice :)

:indiff: Kinda messed up the rear wheel arch and rear tail lights. I need to get one of those circle template thingies...
I do see a slight difference with the tail light, but I don't see a problem with the rear wheel arch.

and it shows a bit of imperfection..

that loooks damn clean and crisp, lines are straight too.. and i really like how you were able to identify reflections.. i am bareyl able to do that on paper

also a tad short wheelbase for an F40

To all you guys doing such good work, coming from a guy who has spend all his collage and uni life drawing and painting, I still suck at drawing perspective and in conjunction cars, but ive always found people who can draw this stuff to be amazing and im always glad to look over talented artists.

I found this bunch of tutorials the other day while looking for a mate of mine, who is now working for VW in Germany doing body designs. and I found this bunch of tutorials and thought that you guys may like to have a look and see if anything is useful.

V1P3R I really like that car, and nice accurate perspective work.

under18carbon I like that pic too well done.

👍 to all.

Thanks, It's amazing I can pick up a pencil and still draw something like that after who knows how long of not drawing. Anyway, I reverse find people that can draw things other than cars amazing since I can't and can't really fathom stuff of such detail. I really don't classify myself as being able to draw, but my passion for cars makes it a lot easier to. lol

Oh and under18carbon you suck. :P

Yeah Car Body Design has pretty decent stuff. A lot of these car design sites, you gotta pay for their content. Car Design News is also a pretty good resource. I had a tutorial I wrote a long time ago, and someone had found it and posted it on there. I wasn't aware, but it felt kind of cool having a couple thousand people check it out. It's not on there anymore though, I asked them to take it down (it was kind of outdated).

I've been drawing a bit lately, maybe I'll get some of it up on here. Going through markers like they were water though.

Using a template isn't quite the scientific crutch I'd like it to be. :dunce:

As for it being wide it isn't I have a style going where the black of the tired bleeds to the shadow under the car. Like below...

Just playing around with some things here.

I was going for the slender, thin shapes for this first one, kind of still trying to keep it somewhat car like. The rear-end is too traditional though. I can see how more progress work would go a long distance in playing around with new ideas like these. Size was also an issue. The smaller sketch pad gave me constraints to use the markers' visual effects.

Then for these two, I was just playing around with blown out perspective and goofy proportions (wheelbase and wheel size). Guess where the inspiration came for both of them. Again, too small to use the shading to its full potential.

Feedback?

...a 'french curve' ;)

This is a great sketch of an F40 👍 - i like your drawing style.

Sorry, I should've been more specific. I meant I needed one of these:

An ellipses template.

I do have a french curve set with me. ;)

@exigeracer: I really like the first one! 👍 Reminds me of a shark for some reason...

Inspiration from a Lotus Elise and McLaren F1?

Another random car design, this one inspired by older F1 cars, in specific the Brabham BT46B fan car. Gotta change/add a few more things to the basic design though...

Its nice to know i am better than someone at something lol. To be honest, that is my worst one i would say :) I did a really cool GT40 at school during lunchtimes in the art room, ill take a photo and upload it if i can find it. Sorry about your eyes.

Say guys, since I'm in the mood to draw something and the american 24-hour classic is upon us, How about you guys design you own Daytona Prototypes? I think it'll be a good exercise for your imagination and drawing skills.

Are those like Corvettes and Vipers in racing trim, or are they Prototypes, like in LeMans? basically, I'm asking, are they real cars, or prototypes? I can't draw real cars.

Basically, they are prototypes like what you see at le mans. Here's an example:

Hope that helps.

Also, Describe what your car is, whats its name and/or what engine is it powered by. Looking forward to seeing what you guys can cook up.
