Challenge Me!

Actually, with turbo kit stage 2 (I think), it's max power is 374hp. Try and upgrade it with that turbo kit.
And about my Mines Skyline challenge, no weight reductioons are allowed, ;) I forgot to mention that when I posted the challenges.

EDIT: I just checked out the Mugen Civic in my garage, and yes, it does have 339hp, but still the challenge is beatable. If I can do it, so can you. ;)

Ahhh money, the root of all evil but it's something we can't do without but never have enough. If only the money earned in GT could be transfered into a bank account I would be happy man.
 
If money is evil then i'll be a frikkin' Satanist soon! :lol: J/K, because I'm going to Job Corps and they actually give financial aid while you earn your high school diploma/GED, but i'm very skeptical....

Sounds too good to be true. We used to have a system like that here in the UK, get paid money whilst you studied @ University. Now it's all changed and it's a loan you have to pay back.
 
It is too good to be true. This past wedensday (did I spell it right?), I found out that we will be given 25 dollars every two weeks for the first 3 months. And it increases litte by little as the months go on. :rolleyes: And we're in dorm rooms, and for only 30 minutes we can leave the campus! :( It's almost like being in prison, but I'll do anything too that high school diploma and ged.

I've been over my Godmother's old house (she's moving to Florida, I might go with her) throwing stuff away and taking other stuff to Rummy Sale's. It was fun because I got to catch up with my godfamily and spend some time with them. Also, I met this hot chick! :drool: :dopey:

Jmac, as for your challenge, I accept! On the 1B-6 test, I got a 19.541, It's possible, but I might not be able to do the challenge today because I have to go back over my Godmother's house today; I forgot my coat! :ouch:
I want more challenges likme Jmac's current one. Give me time trial's, license test record's, dealership race challenges, etc. Bring 'em on!
 
ok heres a challenge for you i worked my hardest and i used the escudo, i wanted to see what i could do. ok beat a 52.665 second red ridge, i think a 49.xxx is possible ive been ways ahead of my ghost but then i get tense and spin out on the last turn, i used more swear words after that happened than ive ever used in my life, anyways i want to know if you can beat it, also regarding my last challenge (the tournament style one with the laguna and red ridge and the no escudo or cultas pikes peak) im adding a month, meaning the deadline is 8/31/05,
no one entered i cried anyways i pray i get more response from this post than the last, anyways plase some one else accept this challenge.

Anyway, about you're challenge, I accept! And truthfully, I'm kind of excited to start the challenge, and It's what I want to see more of in my thread. Instead of just races, I'd like to see time trials, license test challenges, etc.
just having to do event challenges can boring for me.

Anyway, Lance I don't know if you're a better driver than me, or that lap time you posted is fabricated, but the fastest lap time I got was a 54.203 @ 223.54 mph. So my question is; What were/are the settings you used to achieve that lap time?

As for my challenge (This is for everybody), Please purchase and fully upgrade (including racing modifications) an Audi TT 1.8t quattro. After doing that, enter the Gran Turismo World Championship (the one that's after the two GT world leaques). Place first or second in the tournament points and you'll pass my "test".
EDIT: Please ignore the above challenge. It's not possible to win that challenge, given the Audi TT 1.8T Quattro's weight (2645).

ok i dont have the settings on hand but what i can tell you is this ride the walls and you know that spot with a tight s curve thing, just go through it and. i wish i had a xport thingy i could download my ghost, i didnt bother with the reply i hit that time at about lap 50, i did a total of about 160 laps. i got also i got a claim one that you can do the track in 47 second with the gt one, i still havent bothered with that one, but anyways if the tips i gave you dont work or if your already doing them then i will give you my settings, wich i just dont like to do but hey its the honest way. but anways also i think i acully only used the brakes 2 times per lap once on the curve after the tight s and the and the second to last turn to prevent going into the grass, but anyways ive already broken the record my self im going to look into the downlaod thing because it would probly be easyier to beat if you could race my ghost, believe it or not i hit a really high 51. i cant remember what the last numbers where but i think they were 974 but im not sure ill give you my specs tomorrow

Got just a little of the inside tires on the grass in the first corner, enough to keep me off the wall. This is .19 off of my best sectors so I think I will leave the Escudo alone now. The splits for this lap were. 11.193/12.736/15.205/8.626

The TVR Speed 12 will do 49's if tuned right.

160 laps? Wow, now that's what I call commitment. 👍 About your "strategy" for fast lap times, the only thing I don't do is ride the walls, althouh there is a certain way you can bump into the wall and it will point the car directly to the apex at full speed, giving you a fast time. When I get to the challenge, I'll post my times.
 
I've got a new challenge for everybody, and it'll be a fun one, too. Take a Ford GT40 at stock horsepower (no engine upgrades), and enter the Rome Curcuit Two hour Endurance race. I've raced this very event yesterday, and It was a reaslly fun race. I placed first ahead of the 99' GT-One race car (9.136 seconds), but it didn't go down without a fight.
Anyway, I want everybody to try this challenge tell me how you did! :)

Do different game version have different gold test time ?

fps should be set to 60 in ePSXe, to run the game at normal speed (Playstation speed).

I don't know what PC you have but... on my PC running it with no fps limit would be lightning fast... completly unplayable.

If you have a slow PC you might need to use less fps to have the game running at same speed, but the ideal would be 60.

Do I need to turn on "Use PC fps calculation" on Pete's D3D Driver? Are there any special game fix?
 
Try with fps limited to 60, and the "Use frame skipping" option activated. This way he should try to run at 60 and drop when/if needed.

Yes, they do ... As you can see in the screenshots, gold is 19.700 and 18.650 respectively in my game (North America) ...

I limit FPS to 59.97 (NTSC standard) ...
