And they dedicated some time, as the video shows..You know, it really sucks to be Subaru right now. They unveil their VGT car a couple days before it's on the game and all anybody is talking about is GM's monster.

No no no, its gotta be in white! White with black vinyls is Chaparral's colour!
It would go like 'pseeeeeeeew' and melt all the cars behind
Thank you so much for saying that. Some people think this is crap and VGT is destroying the game. They don't understand this could very well be something our grandkids might be driving one day (well similar). Just look at how Technology has change just a little over decade. in the late 90's people thought anything that had a touchscreen would be the most ridiculous thing ever now look at what literally EVERYONE carries around in their pockets. in the late 80's people thought a hybrid type car would be impossible and a waste of money to invest in, now I'm pretty sure by 2025 all cars would be hybrids. In the video, we have a nice little quote. "Work with a bunch of guys who wanted to find out".
If you dislike this car because you think it's not grounded in reality enough, or you think lasers sound ridiculous, then you don't get the concept or briefing in the slightest. Do you think 50 years ago, people thought a box with wheels and two giant fans sucking it to the ground was normal? I would expect nothing less than an insane design from Chaparral.
Disliking it because it doesn't conform to what we have 2014 shows that you aren't open to the future. You aren't someone ready to ask questions. You aren't ready to move forward. So what if it's weird? Sci-Fi from 30 years ago is the norm in technology today.
It's actually been fantastic to see such a positive reaction to the design. We get to see Chaparral in the 21st century. That's something I've always wanted.
So err.. when does this thing come to GT then? I mean, they obviously have it figured out based on the GT6 pictures provided, so how much longer could it be?
I don't get it...
The car is straight from a science fiction movie.
