In this "car" there's no even place for human legs, wait, looking at the design seems like there's no place for humans at all.

At least Redbull X2010 had a place for human, even if the performance would have kill'd the driver for excessive G-force stress.

Yeah, that's my main problem with this concept. Other than that I think it's pretty cool.

Just saw this on the front page of the official Gran Turismo website: http://www.gran-turismo.com/
Holy 🤬, best VGT yet.
I agree.

With the looks of it and what they predict for performance figures, I can see something to rival the upper end Redbull cars. Well, at least they have competition now, right lol?

The X2014 Standard, the Fan Car is still too fast.

As far as top speed goes, maybe. But we don't know yet how the 2X will handle. I, for one, hope it will do even better than the Red Bull fan cars.
It can't outcorner the Fan Car unless it has a fan itself

I'd like to see you try and fit a V8 up the drivers a** lol

And they never even mentioned a V8, they only mentioned the laser engine, with mathematics they say it converts to around 900bhp, and this car is extremely light too my guess is to be lighter than the Caterham Fireblade, they even said this car has ZERO emissions... hmmm very V8 obviously...

Also adding a V8 to everything won't solve problems, with this car, it would only add problems.

It was a joke. Also, the Acura TLX race car (Forget what's it's called, I think TLX GT or something) has its V6 pretty much in the driver's lap. Also, I wonder how this could compare with the Red Bull X cars. The top end X cars would be faster than this, though.

Yeah, that's main worry too. The car could be ruined if PD messes up the handling and makes this far too hard to drive. They need to get it right so that the driver doesn't feel too overwhelmed by it.

GT is a simulator, not a "do you want to hold my hand little noob and I'll give you a tutorial and instructions for everything you do." game.

I love challenging cars, because they're the most fun to drive, you really do feel at home as a racedriver with hard cars.

If it were to have a 3 speed? like the 2j and the 2d

Why would a lazer-powered shockwave propelled car need a gearbox... :/

It can't outcorner the Fan Car unless it has a fan itself

Well the car is purely thrusted by the lazer, and you can even make the thrust vector upward to create a huge amount of downforce, so basically the same system as the RedBull fan car but this doesn't suck the air from the ground, instead it creates shockwaves from the energy of the lazer.

Ok, that's correct, I wasn't having the right chain of thought on that one. :dunce: No need to be hasty here. Although as Dino said:

You mean like the beginning of the game?

Yeah, the beginning does sort of hold your hand, with the whole "Drive a Honda Fit\Jazz first without being able to pick any other car" story and such. But yes, I get: GT is (despite its faults) a simulator. :)

Also, I've noticed something about the last trailer: we don't actually get to hear the 2X's sound, right? Along with the good music, I didn't hear any engine notes... Or did I miss something?

This is by far the most exciting VGT car to date. I love seeing advancement, and if this isn't one hell of an advancement I don't know what is. Good on Chaparral and Chevy on doing something so outside of the norm!

I know it's a simulator and all, but does anyone else feel like this car just HAS to come with the futuristic whooshing sounds every sci-fi movie has? (no matter how fake that is...)

It has a different engine type to anything else in the game, it'll surely sound like some sort of Jet thing or like nothing at all.
