CLASSIC RACING - Sundays 17:00-19:00 BST - CONGRATULATIONS CHAMPIONS Flaco & Lex LathorFinished

Hello guys.
Last few days was a jungle...at work.
Sorry for waiting Sick.
Round 13-15 will use GTO and Jaguar.
;)

Just to confirm - Ferrari 250 GTO in Ferrari Cobra Wars and Jaguar E Type in World Classics?

If so, please pick a different car for World Classics as we already have E Type picked by Flaco and Lex. The Corvette C1 and Pontiac Tempest GTO Le Mans have not yet been picked so are available.

Sorry i meant Pontiac GTO....

Think I've got an ok setup for the C2 Z06. Will try to have it up later.

Thanks very much for the tune for the Corvette C2 Z06 Race Car - your work is greatly appreciated.

I did a lot of testing this morning and chose your tunes for the Ferrari 250 GTO, 250 GT, Jaguar E Type and Corvette C2, but for the C2 Race Car I found the Motor City Hami tune faster.

Test Results for all car choices in Ferrari Cobra Wars - Max 460bhp, Min 844kg

Many people tune their own cars, but I don't have enough knowledge of GT6 to do that and when I try tweaking a tune I normally make it worse. For information the following are my test results (ABS 1 all driving aids off, edge grip real, steering wheel, steering sensitivity 2) at Trial Mountain: NB I am only indicating the difference in lap time and I know that many people will lap faster than me and also may be better suited to certain cars or tunes, but I have put these results up in the hope that they are helpful:

Cobra - tune by Praiano - 902kg Time = 0

Ferrari 250 GT0 - tune by Arrakis Speedshop - 844kg Time = +0.143

Corvette C2 Z06 Race Car - tune by Motor City Hami - 1168kg Time = +0.593

Ferrari 250 GT - tune by Arrakis Speedshop - 844kg Time = +1.391

Corvette C2 Road Car - tune by Arrakis Speedshop - 1122kg Time = +2.080

Jaguar E Type - tune by Arrakis Speedshop - 1021kg Time = +3.125

At the moment the Jaguar seems a lot slower than the other cars - If anyone thinks they have a good tune for the Jaguar perhaps they could post it to help others.

The kg figures are the lowest that can be achieved for the car except for the Ferrari 250 GTO which has ballast to reach 844kg.

I redid the 250 GT again last night. It had too much ballast before. Should have less of a pendulum effect now.

The Jag was one of the first tunes I did and probably needs to be redone. Ditto the 250 GTO- my feeling is that it could go a lot faster.

I use the tranny trick to get more acceleration:
1- Put the Final gear all way to right
2- Put the Max Speed all way to the left
3- Put the 1st gear all way to the left.
4- The rest of gears, but to left.
5- Put the Final Gear to left.

Hope this helps!

I'll have to give it a try out later. 👍

I have been doing my own "tranny trick", but I'll sure give yours a go - thanks.

Some not so classic racing. Max's GT350 needs a bit more downforce!

I wish I could join you--especially this Sunday. I'll be checking in to see the pics.

I really like what you guys are doing, but Sunday mornings (in California) are the worst for me since we tend to spend our weekends on the sailboat or, lately, attending graduation ceremonies for our kids. It amazes me how many types of obligations keep me away from the PS3 at that hour on Sundays.

Maybe someday my schedule will let me participate again--if you're willing and there are openings.

You are welcome back any time.

We are now doing four races per meeting so maybe sometimes you could squeeze in the last two - One Make Series (Lotus Elan for 6 rounds then TVR V8S) and Senna Tribute which is untuned.

To be honest if I had a sailboat, I would be spending time on that - especially in the summer!

Blimey, up to the 7th September! That's my summer of Sundays sorted then.

What are the WSR's like around Eiger Norwand? Bit bumpy - not much chance to use their downforce there. :(

(You probably already know but there is a 1980's Monza available now. Not sure what the difference is - haven't tried it yet myself.)

I have Toyota 2000GT, Savannah Green, black wheels - FCW,
Lotus Elan, Savannah Green, black wheels - One Make,
and Senna Tribute F3 of course. What is the fourth race?

Looking forward to racing with you guy's.

The race of Sunday is Brands Hatch 1985.

Your 2000GT is for the classics race series.
The fourth race is the FCW and I think Sick has you down for a Jaguar E type - or the Ferrari 250GT (if you can afford it!)

Hope this helps. (I think there is a chart on the previous page)

Jaguar E-Type is full :/ (Me and Racercad)

Do you have enough credits to afford an Ferrari in GT6?

Thanks guys. I was skimming through the thread at work... Found this now I'm all set.
Event 1 = World Classic Cars
Event 2 = Cobra Ferrari Wars
Event 3 = One Make Series: Lotus Elan
Event 4 = Senna Tribute: F3 Car

Just to clarify a few points:

Event 1: World Classic Cars 315bhp, 1,160kg

Event 2: Cobra Ferrari Wars 460bhp, 844kg

Event 3: One Make Series - Lotus Elan 185bhp, 600kg

Event 4: Senna Tribute - WSR F3

I have decided to shorten the races to 10 Laps on Sunday 15th June.

The World Classic Cars championship features 8 cars so racers use each car for 3 rounds and the full championship is 24 rounds. We restrict the maximum number of each type of car to 2 i.e. 8 types x 2 = 16 racers. Lex and Flaco are using the Jaguar E Type.

The Cobra Ferrari Wars is a 12 round championship (which replaces the previous Cobra v Corvette). Three of the cars eligible for the Cobra Ferrari Wars are also used in the World Classic Cars championship, but with different levels of tuning and at different weights - these are the Ferrari 250 GT, Jaguar E Type and Chevrolet Corvette C2.

The Corvette C2 is an alternative car to the Corvette C2 Race Car - for those short of credits.
The Jaguar E Type is an alternative car to the Ferrari 250 GTO and 250 GT - for those short of credits.

Full details of the cars are given in post one on page one of this thread.

I will confirm to John (Racercad) his car options shortly - just about to go out for my evening constitutional (walk).

Why Eiger Nordwand Reverse is without pitstops? There is an pitstop in front of the finish line.

The pit lane is too long and therefore interferes with the race order - it introduces a big delay between each car if several cars pit on the same lap - therefore best not to have pit stops at the Eiger Nordwand circuit.

Actually I have an Ferrari 250 GT in my garage but my Ferrari that I have is for World Classics Racing which I'll no longer use it because there's 11 rounds to go.... I currently have another 250 GT too but it is stock.

Do I still have time to fight for the championship?

PS: In my rally championship (which I will do when I get a new PS3 and test the specifications) will contain the same structure as yours, Sick. But will contain 8 cars. But in WRC class, I don't want repetitive numbers, so I'll make an exception for putting roadgoing cars which are equivalent to WRC.
