You'll have to go up against my team's Bentley, a Legacy Racing Audi R10, a Moto Star Online Racing Team Peugeot, and possibly a Team Kolles BMW.

We know. Team Phantom's goal is to at least one of our cars on the podium.

Both DPR Nissans can go 45 laps on mediums

I don't know fuel consumption for the one actually racing. DPR team leader made it 41 laps.

Sorry in advanced, but I have a couple of questions:

1. How do Safety Car work or happen?
2. When is Qualifying?
3. If we finish on the podium, are we in the 12 Hours of Le Mans?
4. (personal question) Can I pull off to the side of the track, pause, go eat dinner with my family, and come back ASAP to finish the race?

To answer #1, as a Safety Car driver myself, the SC will be deployed on call of the race director and will pick up the overall race leader. All other cars will catch up to the SC line and remain in the position they're in on-track no matter what. (unless cars pit, of course) The SC period lasts for three laps and then the race will resume once the overall leader has touched the start/finish line.

To answer further, qualification is at 4:45 p.m., just before the race. All podium finishers earn provisional at Le Mans, and to answer your final question, you'll have to pit in and pause

I was very happy with the race yesterday despite the d/c by me. The only thing was that no one muted their mic. It was very annoying and distracting, but I know it could be worse. You can count on me trying to make it in the 12 Hours of Le Mans.

We are looking into everything this week. The original plan was mics were to be disabled. Why this changed, I don't know. We'll have finite data to move forward on before Le Mans practice starts.

How to I qualify for the 12 Hours of Le Mans?

Also why were there so many safety cars for nothing? That was also frustrating.

oh and another thing, a GT car pitied when the pits were closed under yellows. he waited for 20 seconds raced back to the pack. as the rest of the field pitted the GT car which pitted illegally passed the rest of the field. The GT driver was nearly allowed to go round the track and lap the rest of the GT field as the GT driver passed the leaders who were in the pits. and even after a few people disagreed with this "you can pit with closed pits wait 20 or so seconds and gain a considerable advantage even up to a lap ahead" situation, The gt driver was still allowed to keep the 2 positions he gained from pitting illegally. Could you explain what should happen to prevent this as this isn't fair and falters race procedure.

To answer the safety car issue, AUEC procedure is if there are two cars involved in an accident, and both receive damage, then it comes out. If a green flag restart had been made (as was evident one time), the field aborts the start. There were 7 safety car periods in the three hours, in my opinion way too much. 4 of them involved the #89 and serious consequences will result.

To answer the qualifying question, there will be qualifying races for each class May 10-11.

The illegal pit will be properly addressed when everyone returns from lunch. My personal opinion, despite him being my teammate, he should have been placed at the back of the queue. That obviously didn't happen, but all penalties have been deferred to Le Mans qualifying, so I don't know what penalties will occur.

I hope I at least brought some understanding to the questions. Feel free to ask anything. I'll have more to go off of later tonight.

The overtaking rules are clear in the AUEC Charter. There wasn't to be any flux on it. I will quote it.
"Article 9, Section 1--After a safety car period has been formally started (all cars cross start line to start first full pace lap), no overtaking on the racing surface is allowed." Simply put, the stepping aside for faster cars was illegal. Section 2 states that wounded cars, if not attached directly to queue, may be overtaken. Section 3 states that cars off of racing surface and off pace may be overtaken. This entire article was breached erroneously and therefore all illegal passes under safety car are unpenalisable. This fault lies directly at the feet of the race director.

With that being said, I don't know how clear Article 9 could be. It was blatantly disregarded to "please the masses". On an official and competitive level, this is pure stupidity that is unacceptable. While all of us on the Board of Directors deemed that the breech of this Article was not influential to the overall result, it is an embarrassment nonetheless.

It was communicated (with me at least) that if a GT car is in front of a PC and both cars are not lined up in the queue, the PC may overtake the GT... I know now this is false but that is what occurred.

It was a shame when Team Phantom look like they would run away from everyone.

I know what was translated to everyone, and it was simply wrong. Unfortunately, I can't post the AUEC Charter online.

Just a notice for anyone that views the thread, there are only 12 days left to register for the 2014 12 Hours of Le Mans. The schedule for the leadup to Le Mans will be released Wednesday.

Basic Le Mans schedule has been posted to give everyone a basic idea. More details to be added soon.

Welp, the CORE World Endurance Championship runs at Brands on the weekend of the qualifying races. Looks like I'll be starting last if I can't sort it out.
