I will also warn, since all capable AUEC events are run in real time, the weather in Le Mans is what you'll get in all of the sessions held. Times will also be real time, so it will be set to CET (GMT +1)

Penalties from Ascari to be enforced at Le Mans qualifying.
#20-redbullrider20/Stop and go pit penalty after green flag has been waved (lap 3) for avoidable contact under caution.
#52-nascarguy22/1 minute park after green flag has been waved (lap 2) for avoidable contact, avoidable collision, and illegal cluster of radio communications.
#89-BLANEeyyyx89/2 minute park after green flag has been waved (lap 1)or avoidable contact, avoidable collisions, unsafe exit of race, and severe profanity towards other drivers.
Laps in parenthesis ( ) are laps that the penalties must be served on.

Should be open in the next hour.

Stop-and-go is pretty lenient for that kind of stupidity.

EDIT: Can we serve the penalty before the indicated lap??

No you can not serve early. We went lenient due to your self penalisation.

Here's how the qualifying races will be set up:

GT Class will be split into two qualifying races on 10 May 2014. Currently, there are 10 GT Class drivers signed up, this is due to change. Race 1 will be at 3:00 p.m. EDT (8:00 p.m. GMT +1) Race 2 is at 6:00 p.m. EDT (11:00 p.m. GMT +1) NOTE: This will not determine the final GT Class grid for Le Mans, but will determine who races and provisionals. Also, if provisionals end up, those utilizing them will void a qualifying attempt and start in the rear of the entire field. @redbullrider20 if you can be safety car for the GT qualifying races, that would be a major help.

PC Class will have one qualifying race. (16 PC drivers max per season. Grid currently at 11). This will take place on 11 May 2014 at 6:00 p.m. EDT (11:00 p.m. GMT +1) Unlike the GT Class, PC Class will have their starting grid determined by this race, so the 200 mile qualifying race is extremely detrimental.

To clarify: Those that fail to qualify in their class will stand in queue to relieve and replace drivers that fail to show, so if you still have the ability to get online for the race, you probably should.

Sorry I have a CORE World Endurance Championship race on the weekend of May 10-11. I should make the PC race on Sunday however.

We have arranged the hosts of the qualifying races. I will host the PC Class qualifying race, while NearFear will host qualifying race 1 and cshardy62096 will host qualifying race 2 for GT Class. I've also arranged the race lists, so all we need are filler drivers.

Tomorrow is the deadline for the primary applications. To clarify what primary applications are, they are the drivers that are organized first for the qualifying races and will be the first ones to be let into the rooms. Reserve/backup applications are used primarily as grid fillers.

An interesting thing to note. PC Class is going to be packed. 12 drivers battling for 6 spots, 4 of it already selected by provisional. I suggest that some drivers strongly consider a class change if they plan on having a shot at this. Final entry list will be released on Friday, 9 May 2014.

NEWS: The starting grids for the qualifying races will be determined via random draw, as the board voted 3-2 last night. Personally, I voted no, but their time saving measures are something to apparently abide by. Also, the GT Class has been consolidated to a single qualifying session. As of right now, there are 10 PC Class entries and 12 GT Class entries. I will be the one doing the random draw as I am not competing. I'll keep it as fair as possible, but here's how the guidelines work:
->All provisional holders will automatically start in the back in numerical order.
->Any penalties issued to drivers from their last race must be fulfilled after the start of the race itself.
->Qualifying races will be caution free and from a standing start. Incidents will be closely monitored and strictly penalized by myself and Kathryn Graves.
->Voice chat will be muted during the qualifying race to discourage any annoyances or disruptions.
->Races will be run in real time and weather settings based on the river Sarthe in Pays-de-Noire, France. Approximate race start times for each race is approximately 6:00 p.m. EDT, which equals to 11:00 p.m. in Le Mans time.
->No finishing order is official until declared so by the Office of the Board of Competition. Any appeals must be made before Wednesday, 14 May 2014 at 11:59 p.m.
->Class points will be awarded to all participants that finish within 90% of the race winner of each class (at least 25 laps of 28 for qualifying)
->All drivers that failed to qualify will be placed in a reserve queue for if someone drops out. Also, a reserve driver can act as a safety car if it is needed.

Rules for the 12 Heures du Mans:
->All cars will form up in order on the formation lap. PC Class formation speed will be 75 mph, while GT Class will be 62 mph. Pit lane speed will be 50 mph/80 kmph, and each breach of this will result in a 3 second deduction.
->Pre-race meeting is at 11:00 a.m. EDT This meeting is mandatory. If you don't make the meeting, you don't race. Race officially starts at 12:00 p.m. EDT with formation lap.
->Voice chat will be enabled, however it is stressed that no one uses this frequency for casual chatter. Penalties will be handed out at race official's discretion.
->Flag rules will be reviewed before the race to ensure fluidity, but here's the basics for AUEC: Blue-faster car behind, be careful until they pass (this does not mean they have to let you pass) White: slow car in a sector, no caution needed Yellow: accident in a sector, no need for safety car, no passing Double yellow: large incident, SC deployed. Checkered: Race time has expired, finish current lap Red: Race has been stopped due to accident/weather Green: Racing speed may be applied
->Race will be run a full twelve hours, so good luck figuring out bathroom strategy. May the force be with you...to run without soiling yourself. Please pause on pit lane if the need arises.

PsychoPerra1192 is hosting, so it's up to her. Just wait for her to get on. Most of her team will probably be in the room too.
