TECHNICAL REGULATIONS
1) The control car for the Gran Turismo Formula One World Championship is the Formula Gran Turismo, available in the Gran Turismo dealership for 2,000,000 credits.
2) Each car will be limited to 500 horsepower
3) Each car must weigh 600 kilograms.
  • 3a) The extra 50 kilograms of ballast can be adjusted to the drivers liking for each event.
4) Cars must have Racing Hard and Racing Medium tires for each race weekend. Drivers will have to use both compounds during the race.
1) As stated in I.4, hard and medium tires will be needed for each event. Hard tires will be considered Prime tires, while medium tires will be considered as Option tires.
2) Drivers will need to specify which tires they will be qualifying on for each event. Drivers that qualify in the top 6 will be required to switch to the opposite compound for the start of the race. Drivers that qualify outside of the top 6 can elect to change compounds between qualifying and the race itself.
  • 2a) If a driver from the top 6 starting spots elects not to change tire compounds, that driver will instead start from the pit lane.
3) All drivers must have the same compound on all four tires. Hybrid compounds will result in a disqualification.
SPORTING REGULATIONS
1) Each interested team and/or driver must inform a race organizer of their intentions to participate in a season. That entry will then be processed by the officials and either confirmed or denied.
2) Teams may elect to run only one driver over the season. That team still needs to put forth a team name and reserve a car color.
3) Each individual driver needs to reserve a personal driving number that will identify them in the points standings. That number may be anywhere from 2 to 99 as the number 1 is reserved for the World Drivers Champion.
  • 3a) Team principals cannot select numbers for drivers. Each driver must decide their racing number on their own.
4) Once a driver selects a number, it cannot be changed. This is to prevent any reaction based number changes that may occur in a high interest number (ie. 7, 21, 77)
5) That number will remain in possession of the driver until they inform officials of their retirement from the series.
6) Teams have the obligation to inform the series on if it is running full time or a partial season. Depending on their decision, the series will expect teams to follow through with those decisions unless provided a valid and sound reason on why that obligation was not met.
7) All teams and drivers may be barred from competing if it is found that they are detrimental to the series or a consistent hazard to fellow competitors in different series.
  • 7a) The event organizer will compile a record of each driver based on the series that they have been in previously. Drivers will be required to provide all series and a contact to validate their ability to handle racecraft.
1) Teams and drivers are required to take part in the pre-season exhibition Grand Prix event that is scheduled before the first points event. This exhibition helps the series organizers to understand each driver's style and ability in racing situations.
2) In the exhibition, what the organizers will stress on more than anything is clean racing. Pace will not reflect on how the organizers will see drivers. All that is required is that the driver shows understanding of the regulations, has clear ability to race cleanly, and is able to cross the line under the checkered flag. Quitting the race is considered equal to causing a collision.
1) Standard points will be based off of the standardized FIA Formula One World Championship points system: 1st: 25 pts. 2nd: 18 pts. 3rd: 15 pts. 4th: 12 pts. 5th: 10 pts. 6th: 8 pts. 7th: 6 pts. 8th: 4 pts. 9th: 2 pts. 10th: 1 pt.
  • 1a) This system also applies to the feature race to the Super Prix.
2) Super Prix points will see an altered points system for the top 8 finishers of the sprint race: 1st: 10 pts. 2nd: 8 pts. 3rd: 6 pts. 4th: 5 pts. 5th: 4 pts. 6th: 3 pts. 7th: 2 pts. 8th: 1 pt.
2) Drivers will compete for the World Driver's Championship under the above points system.
3) Teams will compete for the World Constructors Championship. Team points will be based on the results of both team's drivers at each event.
4) In the event of a tie in points, tie breakers will be used in the following order: 1st: A countback to number of wins. 2nd: A countback on number of podiums. 3rd: Highest position earned non podium. 4th: Who scored the highest finish first.
1) Between 15-20 races will be scheduled for each season. This includes an exhibition event and a Super Prix.
2) Races will be scheduled specifically to avoid direct conflicts with the Virtual Reality Racing Super GT Series and the GTPlanet Endurance Series.
3) All events will take place a road courses or street circuits.
4) Races will be on Sunday evenings with qualifying before the event.
1) Before the start of each qualifying event, a 60 minute practice will be opened up to all drivers. This will allow drivers and teams time to tune their cars and establish race pace.
2) In the instance that more than 16 drivers are entered into an event, the fastest teams will be asked to step aside after 30 minutes to allow the extra participants time to practice.
3) Drivers may use any of the legal tires during the session as long as they wish.
1) In events where 16 or less drivers are entered, "standardized" qualifying will begin with all drivers on track for 15 minutes of group qualifying. All drivers are to remain on track for the full 15 minutes. Backing out of the track by means of warping will result in times not counting.
2) Tuning during this session is prohibited.
3) After the time has expired, the slower 10 drivers will be asked to leave the track once times have been collected. The fastest 6 drivers from the first session will have 10 minutes to try to capture pole position. During this session, the remaining 10 drivers can make final changes to their cars.
4) Once the second session is over, all drivers are allowed to move to their designated tire compounds and re-enter the track for the start of the race.
1) In events where more than 16 drivers are entered for an event, a different qualifying method than the standard procedure will apply.
2) The field will be randomly split into two groups. Each group will have 15 minutes to qualify, following the same rules as the first qualifying session (Q1) in the standard procedure.
3) After both groups have qualified, the fastest 16 will be brought into the race room and the fastest 6 of that list will qualify for pole position for 10 minutes. The drivers that did not qualify initially may be able to race if a driver leaves before the race begins.
4) Being the slowest in a group does not necessarily mean being unable to race. Drivers are brought into the race room based on order of fastest lap times, not group qualifying order.
1) Once all participants are on pit lane, the race countdown will begin. Drivers will be instructed to hold the e-brake at the start and wait for that driver to be called into place on the formation lap.
2) Each race will begin with a formation lap. The pole sitter will be instructed to hold a pace speed of 37 miles per hour/60 kilometers per hour until the entire field have gathered in the correct order.
3) Following the pole sitter, drivers will be called out in their grid positions. Drivers with grid penalties will be called in the position they have to start in. Drivers starting from the pit lane will run the formation lap at the rear of the field and park their car at their pit box when the field takes to the grid.
4) During the formation lap, any excess track rules such as passing boundaries will be covered. (SEE: Article XIV: Formation Lap Procedure)
4) At the end of the formation lap, the drivers will line up in the assigned grid positions. Once all of the drivers are parked, the race director will type out the time that the race will begin. This time will be based on the overall race time clock.
5) Once that clock reaches the assigned time, drivers will take off of the grid at their own will. The race will officially begin at that moment,
6) Drivers starting from the pit lane must wait until the entire grid passes the pit lane exit to begin rolling. Violation of this will result in a 1 lap deduction post race.
1) During the Tsukuba Super Prix, the standard 150 mile distance will be split up into two different events, a 50 mile sprint race and a 100 mile feature event.
2) Standard qualifying will determine the starting grid for the sprint race, while the top 8 finishers of the sprint race will be inverted for the start of the feature race.
3) Both the sprint race and the feature race will use the manual formation lap to grid start.
1) Due to the time the races are held, races are scheduled to a 150 mile distance. To limit length of events, races will also carry a secondary 2 hour time limit should emergencies arise.
2) In the event that a race is cut off by the time limit, points will be awarded based on how much of the race was completed. If 85% or more was completed within the time limit, full points will be awarded. Anything 50%-84% will be awarded half points.
3) Practice for each event will always start at 6:30 p.m. Eastern U.S. time.
4) Qualifying session 1 (Q1) will always begin at 7:30 p.m. Eastern U.S. time. Q2 will start at 7:50 p.m. Eastern U.S. time.
5) Races will start at 8:00 p.m. Eastern U.S. time. This start is not counted towards the two hour rule.
1) Jumping a grid start-30 second post race time penalty
2) Jumping a pit lane start-1 lap post race penalty
3) Causing an avoidable collision-30 second post race time penalty
4) Causing an intentional collision-2 lap post race penalty and a pit lane start at next applicable event
5) Quitting a race prematurely (non disconnect related)-Loss of race classification and pit lane start at next applicable event.
6) Ignoring blue flags after three warnings (letting leaders pass without incident)-1 lap post race penalty
7) Passing outside of track boundaries-30 second post race time penalty
8) Impeding qualifying by blocking the racing line-pit lane start
9) Causing an avoidable collision in practice or qualifying-pit lane start
10) Entering the track with an illegal car-10 place grid penalty
11) Excessive microphone chatter-In race stop-go penalty
12) Breaking pit entry line-10 second penalty (review based penalty) stop-go penalty (seen during the race)
13) Breaking pit exit line-10 second penalty (review based penalty) stop-go penalty (seen during the race)
1) As there are limited microphone channels, the airways need to be clear if race officials are trying to point out an issue or hand out in race reprimands.
2) Conversations about topics outside of the race is discouraged unless allowed before hand by a race official.
3) In the instance that a major real life event is going on simultaneously, a driver that is following the event will be allowed to inform the field of class leaders in hour intervals only.
4) Microphones should be quiet unless a driver is trying to give blue flag indication to a slower driver. Race officials need to hear how many warnings drivers make to assess if penalties are necessary.
5) During practice, there will be no restrictions on chatter as long as the drivers can pause for race official instruction.
6) During qualifying, microphone chatter will be prohibited. The only microphones allowed to be used are those of race officials.
1) Skid Recovery Force will be prohibited during all official events.
2) Active Steering will be prohibited during all official events.
3) Active Stability Management will be prohibited during all official events.
4) Driving Line will be prohibited during all official events.
5) Traction Control will be allowed during all official events. This can be turned off or turned up to a maximum of 5.
6) ABS will be allowed during all official events. ABS can be turned off or set to 1.
1) During the manual formation lap, drivers are to proceed from the grid at 37 mph/60 kph until the grid has assembled in the order the race official has provided.
2) Once the field has gathered, the pole sitter may accelerate safely to 100 mph/120 kph except where braking needs to be applied.
3) Drivers are to give the driver in front three car lengths of space. If a collision which causes damage occurs, those drivers will receive a pit lane start regardless of fault.
4) Tire warming is acceptable when the swerving is stable and slowed. Fast, barely controlled tire warming will not be accepted and can be penalized by losing grid positions.
5) Once approaching the grid, the cars will slow to 50 mph/80 kph to park in their grid positions. Drivers starting in the pit lane will proceed to the pit lane where they will press Pause before reaching their pit box.
6) After the field has reached their designated starting locations, albeit pit lane or grid spots, the race official will type out in the chat box the time of launch. Drivers will be solely responsible for taking off on their own at that time.
1) In the instance that a major internet issue affects the start of the race, a rolling restart will be used.
2) The pole sitter will follow the standard pace speed from the formation lap. Drivers affected will drop to the rear due to being wounded cars. They will be forced to pit on that lap.
3) The pace period will be two laps. During that time, pit lane will be open to everyone.
4) The race restart will be controlled by the race leader, who can accelerate at any time after the exit of the final corner.
  • 4a) The race leader cannot slow down and then launch. The launch must be a fluid, consistent climb.
1) Drive through penalty-driver in question goes through the pit lane for routine service but is not allowed to receive fuel in that stop.
2) Pit lane start-Driver in question follows the field during the formation lap. That driver pulls into the pit lane to sit in their pit box while the field grids up. That driver remains stationary in their pit lane (by means of pressing pause) until the last driver in the field has cleared the pit lane exit.
3) Blue flag-a driver in the back of the field is about to be lapped by an on pace driver. The slower driver must refrain from battling the lead lap driver or impede his progress in clearing the driver in question.
4) Radio silence-all microphones not belonging to a race official should now be quiet.
5) Speed trap-fastest speed before braking on the longest straight of the circuit.
i would like to join this league ..i been racing in f1 leagues since f1 2012 game for ps3 ...this sounds like fun..i am f1vargas on psn

Just about. I think most people know there's 1 person I won't sign.
I think it's a bit irresponsible personally. If you want your team to be represented well and run smoothly you should at least get to know people before you offer them a spot and try to get racers from the same "network". They'll make better teammates. This is another reason why I didn't want to race on your GTPES team you just have a bunch of random people in one pin.

Just my advice to you, don't take just anyone.
