Grid 1 was refreshing because of night/day racing on Le Sarthe, the crashes, the sponsorship and team mate gameplay mechanics and of course the crashes. Not because Codies made a particular good cockpit view.
That was my point.

As I said, I might accept no cockpit view, but I can't accept only road cars with lame skins. GRID 1 had some style, all the skins looked great, not to mention the brilliant easy to use livery editor... that was GRID.

Come on, this thread need more trolls and more flames. Let's have a party here.
Ehm, thanks but no thanks.

If you don't like my opinion it's not my problem. They removed all the good stuff and now they are basically trying to sell an house with no doors and windows.

Oh and don't worry, people will keep boulding houses on their own, like usual... using rFactor bricks.
Problem is on consoles.

So you've played the game then??

We have seen like, 4 cars. And could you link me to where it says Grid 2 does not have a livery editor? I must have missed that bit.

New screenshot from the FB likes and Twitter followers rewards... (If anyones interested :(, next one to be unlocked after 61 more followers and 107 more likes)

Is that supposed to excite me or something? If you're going to force people to unlock screenshots at least make them exciting.

Seems like a pretty cheap way to get followers and likes. You would think they would release them to advertise there game. To each there own I guess.

Can't remember seeing an E30 M3 in the trailer so I guess that's a plus. 👍

I was just stating how they were unlocked... Don't hurt me.... :nervous::scared:

I'm still quite upbeat and optimistic about the new GRID, only time will tell if thats misplaced..

Oh how shocking, they're "forcing" people to click a button to unlock screenshots, an activity that - cue shock and horror - takes a second to do. The game isn't out until next year, so they're obviously not going to release anything major this far out from the release date, are they? They are maintaining interest and keeping the game in the public conscious, a good tactic considering there is no specific limit as to the number of likes they can get.

Stop acting like spoiled brats, if they want to release a picture of a few cars in action, then so be it, not really seeing the need to judge them negatively over it.

No cockpit camera
More focus on touring cars, rather than race cars all together

Yeah, that's enough for me to not care about this sequel, I'll stick with TOCA 3, that game had cockpits, AND multiple racing series.

Again new screeny unlocked. Next one will be the last one of these unlocked screens..

You may of shot me but I survived and am back much stronger :sly:.

I think it's looks nice but then that's just me.. It's just new shots I guess.. This is a GRID2 thread afterall so I thought I'd share em..

Its not really all that different from other companies/developers when they will only release something after a certain number of likes or friends is reached. They don't really need to release all screenshots at once when they've got the active Social network they can just utilize to keep the hype and interest maintained.

I just don't get it, where is the excitement in these screens?

Sometimes, I get the impression you don't like anything

Haha, I do, and I really wanted to like GRID 2 but I'm finding it pretty hard and these 'reveals' really aren't doing much to impress me. Compare that to for example the GTA V screens that just left me wanting more. I look at these screens and just think "So?".

I was just thinking, grid was the only game I played (and still do) in cockpit-view more than any other view...
I only realized this now, it had such a good one I liked it.

I have to agree with Simon here. None of what we've so far seen of GRID 2 excites me the slightliest.

Yeah, nothing new here. Just the same cars, with the same liveries on the same track, in the same weather. Different angles though...

Maybe after all these are unlocked they will move on to a different reel of photos... I hope :indiff:.

Well we know we have Yas Marina circuit. I'm hoping Yas Marina is one of many real tracks.. I do have to admit though I will be disapointed if there is no touring cars, as well you can clearly see I'm a touring car nut :D.

I have something to say.

First- I have gone back and been playing GRID 1 again with head cam locked on. I do see SOME of what you guys have been on about, maybe not in the same way though.

Second- GRID 1 probably has the most realistic physics when it comes to contact, as I've found playing through again that every bump really does alter, well, everything.

Third- Those who think that the interiors were crap, take a look at one like the Viper or Skyline. On par with MCLA.

Finally- If that is a BOSS similar to the starter in GRID 1, then this actually does raise intrigue. Remember, cars in GRID 1 were only allowed in certain events, the 302 being Classic Muscle and the S15 being a Drift car. Meaning, either cars have been reclassified, Drift is dead, or something I'd enjoy any car for any event.

Hey, I can dream.

I'm happy if they give us any sense of realistic driving physics. My buddy and I went online, just to have a laugh, and we couldn't really drive the cars. I mean, seriously, we're both autocrossers, and he does drifting and time attack, whereas I've done autocross, karting, and some other types of racing. Seriously, I hope that they fix the physics enough that they're realistic enough to drive. If I see a single car skidding in an unrealistic way, to save time (like in Ridge Racer,) I'm not even going to rent it.
