Ok that's the road car for omologation. But this is a racing game, I prefer the F1 GTR to the F1 GT. Without wing it looks sooo weird.

I'm still not. Like I said before, after announcing the selective pre-order BS, it will have to be able to cure cancer for me to buy it remotely soon. Why so hostile? Go look at my post then.

There's a lot of complaints about the handling of Grid 2.... all based off videos.

Hands up all those who have actually PLAYED Grid 2?
Well, you know we actually don't need to play Mario Kart to realize the physics is very arcade. Cars in Grid 2 seems to behave like Grid 1. Grid 1 was fun but physics was weird even for an arcade racer. I suppose they guy in the vid are playing with a pad, so yes we have yet to see how it goes with a wheel but after all these videos I'm NOT impressed. If CM want us to try it, they can always release a demo I'll surely download. If they don't I'm going to keep my opinion.

I'll be buying this if for no other reason than it will have t500 ffb support. Its pathetic that thrustmaster did not include backward ffb compatibility for its expensive wheel.

Edit: what no cockpit view?? I just went back and read some pages here. This might be a weird game like Dirt Showdown was weird... nevermind.

Yet in real life as pointed out by The Stig Farmer, there's a version that doesn't have the rear wing:

But of course.. this model can be found in FM4! :)

BMW vs Chevy continues!

GRID - Official

The BMW 320 TC was in action during our live stream tonight. What would you choose, 320 TC or the Chevrolet Cruze?

I unbiasedly pick the Cruze :sly::lol:.

The Chevy was much faster for the most part ;). I expect the same with the Cruze given the real life performance of it .

Would choose the Cruze. Just seems like a better car.

Interested in seeing how this feels with a wheel.

It was because the Lacetti was FWD and was easy to drive and wasnt as tail happy as the BMW. I would pick the cruze because i like the looks of it better.

Bingo. The Lacetti wasn't that much better/worse than the BMW, but it was easier to drive. I used the BMW myself, a bit loose yes, but better than plowing into the tirewall one understeer kicked in, also had better luck, as for a while I crashed once a race in the Chevy.

Sometimes ripping the ebrake cured that understeer

That, and once you get the timing down, you can manage anything in the game. At least until the AI does something stupid.

Are you guys talking about the original GRID? I had to use the handbrake for nearly every corner in some cars (even the F3000!) just to get them to turn.

I play GRID 1 with the DFGT and ffb turned off. The steering wheel is light but the car react more naturally compared when I use the crappy ffb made by Codemasters. I also tried the game with a pad but it was ugly. Overall with the DFGT it's fun.

What were you doing? I only used it when in drifting competitions.

Yea the LMP cars were stupid hard to turn . Front tires might as well have been made out of glass.

Trying to turn. LMP/GT/F3000 cars were just incredibly difficult to turn. Not only that, the AI seemed to be >10km/h faster than me in the corners. I had to solve that by braking late and hoping I could hold them up.

It does just seem to be a straight up arcade game now, not even attempting to have a semi-realistic handling model. Sliding, sliding and more sliding just like Burnout or something. Nothing wrong with that but it seems a waste to drive licensed cars around licensed tracks in that way.
