Come on man! Do you want me to change the thread title to 'Talons favourite car club' !? We struggle with full grids as it is. If you honestly dont have anything better to do why not just join in. You might have a bit of fun.

Well if you don't mind, sure. :sly:

I'll say what I said last time, I'll give it a shot. I may be busy anyway though.

Edit: Nah I'm free, But I was last time and completely forgot. :dopey:

Hmmm...this thread seems to be on page 2 ...Bump!!

Anyway, looking forward to this weekends races, had a few test laps by myself on each track, and I really like the car...lots of fun 👍

Hopefully get some good grids too, participants have dwindled a little over the last couple of rounds... come on guys, you'll only be missing out on some of the cleanest, punter free online racing!!

Go on.... you know you wanna :sly:

Agreed 👍 Had a practice go myself earlier, I think I'm going to struggle on London Reverse :nervous: Good job I was practising without damage is all I can say

Slow car... but that will cause close competition I think. Nice tracks though. Cote D' Azur is 1 of my favorites ever, including Spa, Monza, La Sarthe (Spa is so missed in GT5...)

Hey guys, sorry I've not been on much this week (GTP or PSN), I've been absolutely swamped at work! :(

Cheers for keeping the thread alive though 👍 As for the max bhp of this beast  I really have no idea because I haven't run it in yet. Hopefully I can get on tomorrow morning for a bit.

Im in for the suzuki swift race!!!!! It really is a great car!

You are definitly welcome mate. I just need you to read the opening posts carefully and respond appropriatly. I'll add you when you do 👍

Hi Captain, do you guy's use daylight savings time? My clocks went ahead 1 hour overnight.

Jason

Well the first race looked promising, big grid, but I got banged around a bit by a couple of cars who afterward decided to leave the race!

So toured around hoping some of those ahead would make a mistake and I would have someone to race with :dopey:

I pitted for fresh rubber and for someone to race with!

Turned out I went a lap down and came out in front of Captain Roh who was in second.
I moved over to see if Roh would catch Kamikaze; but I think both their tires were spent. I think I was the only one to pit during the race ?

I hope my bump when you (Roh) inexplicably stopped short (me lagging maybe?) into last lap turn one didn't mess up your run on first position :ill:

My one victory was being able to pass Roh and Kamikaze and no longer be a lap down; caught Kamikaze just before the finish line! 👍 I think Kamikaze let up to give me my lap back :)

2nd race at London Reverse I spent the free run looking for pit entrance.

It was pointed out to me (thanks) there was no pit

With damage on full on a street (walled) circuit, it seemed to me pit access would be necessary to fix 'dings'.

At the start some cars did not get away and I clipped the light blue swift and dinged my left side; then clipped a barrier on the right and was done within 3 corners. Maybe next time damage on light for the London track?

Due to the length of race warm ups, I had to miss Cote D'Azur because I had a visit with the in laws at 3 p.m.

Respectfully hope for a race, or race moded car, next week and some tracks with run off areas for when I inevitably mess up:)

Had some good fights this weekend.
I wasn't expecting great results tbh.
We were driving a FF car, wich isn't my thing (well, maybe nobody likes it too :sly:), and i'm not that good in the first 2 tracks, due to my taste for real tracks.
But at autumn i felt good with the car/track combo.
Started first and managed to get to first and get a 5 sec gap to the pack. Just had to nurse it home.
The second race i prefer not to talk about.
Third race had a good start from pole but made a few errors before the tunnel. When i looked into my mirrors it was CHAOS behind me and crispy :scared:. They were 4 or maybe even 5 wide in the tunnel.
That left me and crispy to have an epic fight for the win. He battled me even with some damage. RESPECT 👍

Great fun car to drive.

Sorry for the late post guys, i'm working on finishing touches to this weeks combo right now. I'll have iit up tomorrow lunch latest 👍

Its with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to the Swift. It was a great little car and the racing was just brilliant. Up until Monaco at least. :irked:

Its with regret now that I have to remind everyone about the concours ethos. I've let things slide till now in an attempt to keep things fun here, however this weekend saw the camels back break, and its time to get tough.

One member apologised for thier aggressive driving in the swift series. I said to him what I will say to you all now;

A little aggressive driving is fine, however clean and fair always comes first.

Let me remind you that we race within the rules and regualtions of the OLR here. And let me also remind you of a paragraph I will be putting into practice more than ever;

WARNING! If I see on the replay that you've used your car as a battering ram, you will be warned, then you will be gone. If I see you using another persons car to slow down or make a turn, you will be warned, and then you will be gone. If I see that you are driving in a generally too aggressive manner, you will be warned, and I'm sure you get the message by now.

I will be reviewing replays for every race. Competitors will recieve one warning for what I percieve to be disrespecful driving. The next warning will result in exclusion from concours. I ask all of you to report bad driving too so that I can confirm your concerns.

Dont let it be you that gets thrown out. No one wants that.

Now, lets get concours back on track 👍

Current Criteria and Results updated.

A real shame about some of the action in the Swift races, no doubt partly due to the confines of the tracks, but no excuse.

Another great choice of car for next sunday Captain 👍 and hopefully great racing!

Yay. I'm in the top of the podium. :dopey:

Been wanting to get that car for ages... but how much does it cost?? :scared:
Or in which race can you earn it??

how much does it cost??

Congratulations on your podium mate 👍 And to answer your question, with tyres just under 300,000cr.

Note to everyone else; I have just revised the opening post to include downforce settings. Everything else will remain default. Thank you.

If I understand correct the next 3-race event will have duration of 75 laps in total? Isn't it much? By the way how much time is one lap's duration in that monster?

My suggestion is that we have 3 races of 15-20 laps as many of us are in countries with 2 hours difference in hour and it is too late to follow. Or we can start 1 hour earlier at least... Just a suggestion.

The length of each series will always remain constant as when I test a combination I aim for 2 hours total meet time. The number of laps is determined by this factor.

Of course I'll certainly consider it Rotor. 7pm is not a massive difference to me but for you I completely understand you need to get sleep. Why dont I put it to everyone involved, after all I have to go with the majority.

So.. Hands up who's in favour of a permanent time change to start at 7pm GMT instead of 8? When Top Gear is airing, we could split the meet. 1 race at 7, 2 more at 9. Discuss 👍
