Considering i usally have dinner around 7:30 - 8:30 i would prefer to keep it like it is now.

And we will have a hour change in less than two weeks i think.
In 26/27 of March i will be GMT+1. Now i'm GMT. How is it in england??

You're right I forgot about that. On March 27th in the UK we go +1. Which will have the same effect as starting at 7 as far as Rotor and other more easterly residents are concerned.

The reason I chose 8 initially is because I work occasionally on sundays. I potentially wont finish until between 6 and 7, and concours cant run without a host ;)

Just so you have my two cents I would like to keep things as they are.

I'd prefer to keep it at 8:00, as I have lunch pretty regularly at 7:00 GMT. I would probably have to miss quite a few races. :nervous:

Just thought I'd share that with you :D I'm loving this car SO much!!

Infact I'll be on tonight, somewhere near to 7.30. Join me for some practice racing if you're about guys 👍

edit
: I've just re-written some of the opening posts and moved things around a little. Tell me what you think. Its very slight, maybe un noticable actually. Some feedback as to how better to layout the first few posts is appreciated though. I did think about moving the current criteria section right to post one. So new comers dont have to search through so much text to find out what we're all about. Anyway  Yeah. Thanks in advance for any advice 👍

i quite like how it is now, only had a quick look though, i will look at more details when i have more time lol

well done and wow your car looks great :D

Unfortunately I can't make this earlier start time as I have a race at 7pm on Sundays. 9pm is the earliest I could make.

The best racing I've had has been here in the Concours Club. Thanks to everyone involved and thanks to Captain Roh for setting it up. 👍

We already had the time change here. Same or earlier makes no difference for me; its midday on the West Coast either way.

Do make note when your time changes so I have time to figure out what that means for PDT. :)

Off to get my Amuse on :dopey:

I'll take a look at the 'new' look later, but until I see my car on the podium I'll never be happy :)

I'm easy as far as altering start times go, so if you would rather start it at 7pm, that's fine with me 👍

But maybe you could add a poll to the thread, just to get the general concensus on how everyone feels about it? But whatever the start time, I'll still be there week in, week out :D

Don't know what time you plan to start but I can't get on till 9:00 so I'll join the lobby and wait and hope to catch one of the races ,nice racing last night gents.

Just got my car set up, black wheels and matte purple.:D

Holy 🤬, this thing is a monster. I don't think I've driven anything on racing mediums so far, let alone a car like this, plus the last thing I raced today was a lightly tuned TVR V8S on sports hards... quite a switch.

Just wanted to make sure everyone is crystal on these issues..

Lobby will open at 8pm GMT tonight. Not enough people wanted to switch. Racing will start after qualifying at 8.45pm GMT.

Anyone who has signed up to race but hasn't yet responded to the opening posts correctly will be kicked from the lobby. Its nothing personal, but the procedure is there for a reason.

Look forward to racing guys. 👍 See you tonight.

Err.. its 3 and a half mate.

Well, its 5pm here so technically its just 3 now ;) See you then 👍

Don't worry Paginas. I share the same love for Cape Ring, so i'll fight you in the back of the pack. :dunce:
Off to see MotoGP and be ready to RACE!!

Now I remember why I race in this series.:D

The first race was decent overall, in fact it went great... for about 40 feet. I dove in just a little too hard under Paginas, and my tail whipped out and caught him in the front fender. This was the first corner of the first lap, so I fought the damage as long as I could. I was one of the first to pit, and ended up third overall. Not bad.

The second race however, was a complete mess. I'm not even sure what happened, but I bumped someone's orange car off track, and almost half the field went with us. I ended up quitting after half a lap. Sorry about that one. :guilty:

The third race was awesome. :D I started first because I had dropped out of the previous race, so the first corner wasn't nearly as sketchy. I followed three or four people for over half the race, then one by one they all crashed. I found myself ahead by 28 seconds, on lap 16 and with half my tires gone. I stayed out the whole race, and took a comfortable 15 second win. :)

Fun stuff. 👍

Sorry i did not make the race today. I was unable to connect with Captain's lobby. It kept saying that I was incompatable with the Host's network, Error 706. Never seen that before. I tried a few other online races and didn't have any problems connecting. Hope to be on next week.

Here's some pics. 👍

After the first corner madness, I fall into step behind Crispy. Not much action here, about a 1-2 second gap. And then... Crispy falls off track, and the lead is mine!

There was no one even really close to us, so I'm safe for no.... who's that?
CapeRingInside_5.jpg

Where did D34NO come from?
CapeRingInside_6.jpg

He follows me for a good 6-7 laps, getting closer all the time. :scared:

Go away!

Just as I'm cracking under the pressure...
CapeRingInside_13.jpg

I'm free! Yay!
CapeRingInside_14.jpg

By then, my tires were 75% gone, but I was ahead by 25s so I cruised on to victory without ever even pitting. :D

This shot doesn't fit in with the story, but it looks awesome.

PS: The pics are actually 640 pixels long, but it would have taken me ages to get that extra 40 off of them.

This weekend didn’t start out so well for me. I practiced a lot during the week but when I came to the track on Sunday I felt totally uncomfortable. I was worried. Eventually I got into some kind of rhythm, but I was still absolutely horrendous. I started 9th.

gt1-1.png

After last weeks poor show I was determined to win. And win I must! With the bit between my teeth I jumped out of my grid box and immediately overtook Captain D. With a good head of speed I got to the inside of turn one and put my nose on the inside of Kamy.

gt1-2.png

Everyone made it through 👍

gt1-3.png

gt1-4.png

Counter steer leading, with me up to 6th, everyone was bunched up pretty well and I knew I had to make ground quickly. I made my move on Burr. Up to 5th.

gt1-5.png

Still on a charge and on the same corner in the next lap, I made my move on rotor. 4th.

gt1-6.png

Crispy made a little mistake out of the final corner and I gained some time to the lead pack. Seconds later Rotor made a bigger mistake. Though from the looks of things the mistake was going to end badly.

gt1-7.png

At the end of the lap crispy and I had caught Paginas and Counter Steer. Crispy got bunched up behind the battle into the final complex, and I had good drive to attempt an overtake. Crispy took a wide line and kept the power on to deny me.

gt1-8.png

In the next lap we were bunched up tight entering the sweeper. I kept my line low until I could pop out onto the tow.

gt1-9.png

I hooked onto Paginas slipstream and made a huge amount of ground. Counter Steer had a big moment into the complex drifting through the first turn to the second. I had gotten underneath Crispy and right up onto Paginas bumper.

gt1-10.png

But Crispy came back with another brave move on the outside and squeezed me onto the apex. It was intense. And totally awesome!!

gt1-11.png

Side by side in the complex, at the third turn Crispy had the inside line to turn four.

gt1-12.png

I was hung out to dry and back in fourth.

gt1-13.png

Captain D had been following me through the pack all the way and after all this drama he was closer than ever.

gt1-14.png

Paginas made a move on Counter Steer that stuck at the end of the next lap. Entering turn one I was very surprised to see crispy facing the wrong way. An un-characteristic mistake.

gt1-15.png

I didn’t have time to hang around and by the end of the same lap Counter Steer was sideways again. I went wide through the complex and cut back right onto his bumper.

gt1-16.png

I got a good tow along the start finish straight and made a move on the inside. We went wheel to wheel around one.

gt1-17.png

I made it out first with both Counter Steer and Captain D hot on my tail.

gt1-18.png

Paginas was in view up in the distance. I had my work cut out.

gt1-19.png

Captain D made the same move on Counter Steer on the next lap. He was keeping up with me as I closed the gap to Paginas, until a mistake in turn one put him too far behind to challenge. I could concentrate on going forward, and I felt a great fight coming on with Paginas. Alas, it wasnt to be. In the end he made it quite easy. Taking a very wide line to the grass in the final turn I was close enough to capitalise.

gt1-20.png

I made my pitstop a few laps later.

gt1-21.png

The next 13 laps were plain sailing. I concentrated on driving consistent laps and I held Paginas at a safe distance. We traded fast laps in a game of cat and mouse. Until eventually the chequered flag was out and I made a slow pass and wave to my pit crew :)

gt1-22.png

Race 2 was just as amazing for me. Its taken all day to put this first race report together though so all you need to know is I dominated that one too :sly: lol.

Sadly though, race 3 was the scene of my downfall. I started last again having finished first in race 2. I didnt make any places off the grid and in my impatience to get around BlaqueJaque I took to the outside on the sweeper.

gt1-23.png

Cue my first and only mistake. :( I was out wide and skimming across the grass.

gt1-24.png

To be honest it wasnt as bad as I thought i would be. I had no damage and I was just waiting to slide to my eventual stop. However, I came to a sudden one. Against wee who was stranded on the grass as well. I had to pit.

gt1-25.png

I came out and was resigned to finish mid pack for the overall win. I concentrated on driving smooth average laps to try and finish the remaining 24 laps on one set of tyres. I eventually caught traffic though, and unfortunetly for me I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Burr lost the rear end of the 2000 and I had nowhere to go but straight into him.

gt1-26.png

As if that wasnt bad enough, when I entered the pits at the end of that lap.. the AI driver did a drive through!! I had to drive another lap and make my 3rd stop on the next lap!! Absolute nightmare race. :ouch:

Looking forward to next week very much. I hope as many of you can make that one as did this weekend. 👍

Race results and current criteria updated.
