I promise you Roh. I've had races with fixed weather but not fixed time. If you want to test it quickly then set it to 60 and fixed at sunny. Anyways, I think rain will be fun.:D

What he said. Tick the fixed checkbox, and the weather will stay the same, while the day change is going to work. 👍
If it wasn't for the complete lack of grip i feel in the rain i would say let it roll, but maybe not a good idea.
 
Tricky enough in cockpit view without rain :nervous:

Also be a shame to get caught out on the course when rain starts :)

I hope we get a full grid so we all have someone to race 👍

My bad guys.. I tested obviously, but every time i checked 'fixed' the time in the race jumped to around midday and never changed. Didnt matter what I put in the time box :ouch:

Glad to know we wont have to contest with rain though. That could of been exciting :sly:


Btw Jacque, I think i'm going to drive with no HUD this week. Its actually only for concours weekends that I like to see split times if i'm honest. I think the view will be spoiled considerably when night rolls in this time though 👍
 
I'm not going to enter this week, but I'll keep an eye on how this goes. If it's ok I'll put the odd appearence in, but I'll let you guys know first.

Its a shame, as this is my favourite track, but this sunday my team will play and be champion in his main rival stadium(hopefully), so i can't miss that.

I'm going to struggle at the weekend I think, I haven't completed a single lap practicing for this. It isnt a favourite track of mine though so I guess I'm just lacking the motivation. I'll practice on saturday before quali for sure :)


Btw does anyone know if the paint chip 'dark gold metallic' exists? If it does i'd really appreciate a copy of one if you have it lying around :D
 
Got the time straightened out; 7 p.m. BST is 11 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time (8 hour difference).

So I'll join the 10 a.m. PDT race for the Online Monthly Race Series BMW M3 Coupe 07 and be ready for qualifying on the Green Hell after :)

Me and cpt_disaster went for some more practice tonight as we have always been close on the track. so after a few laps we pitted to compare times, we both did the same lap times 803.009! i've neverhad this happen before
 
Hi guys. I've dropped out of the F1 league I was in as it really wasn't as good as I remembered. Missing this for that was just stupid.

So if theres still room I'm in.

Obviously I didnt qualify yesterday but I may not be able to make tonight anyway. If I can, is it alright for me to turn up and start last?

As for qualifying yesterday I'd say it was bloody abismal :lol: Only seven guys turned up and most of us didnt even put in a hot lap! Regardless, this is how the grip shapes up for tonights race.

P1. Captain D
P2. Captain ME :sly:
P3. Burr
P4. Crispy
P5 Blacque Jacque
P6. Weescotsman
P7-P14. All other participants in alphabetical order. With the exception of Rotor who will start last as he was disqualified from quali. :ouch: Sorry man. Just make sure to bring the right car next time ;) lol


Before the race begins tonight I will set up a short one lap race. Participants will finish that race in reverse order from qualifying. Rotor first, Cap D last and everyone inbetween. I will then set the main event to reverse grid from previous race. And voila, we are ready.

P4...very suprising as every time I was on a hot lap, I stacked it into the barriers :lol:

Captain, I think the grid can be determined by the order that the participants join the track from the lobby, i.e Captain D 'goes to track' first, giving him pole, then you click 'go to track', giving you second, and so on. Just something I noticed during last nights OMRS races. We can give it a test before the race 👍

sorry i left guys, i was having a great race, just came out of pits (lap 4), then around where the 1st long straight is, with the right hander
Then ROTOR had to type a message and i happend to read it (human nature) and BANG straight into the wall, i tried my best to get it around but i gave up because i just hit every wall on the way around.
i just got frustrated and left! sorry

Apologies for distracting you Paginas or anyone else... It has happened to me too. As you said, human nature...

So, about the race. Awful driving from my side, as I hadn't raced Z06 RM at all till tonight and especially in Green Hell online... FFB of my DFPro wasn't any good at level 5/10 and my concentration wasn't at it's best. Excuses of course but it isn't normal to get off the track without the least warning from wheel's feedback... till tonight.
 
I was an absolute idiot last night! :lol:

Apart from making a spin or two, I was actually going quite well. I was on for a podium and taking my time not to make more mistakes. At the end of lap seven I was planning to pit, I'd only made one stop so far and this one would be my last. I figured a two stop strategy would be best to try and close down the leaders instead of pushing hard. I had been driving without any HUD elements enabled, so I needed to check my gauges to see how much fuel I needed. I opened up the 'pause' menu and then I... FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!

:lol: I had clicked on exit instead of the display options. Godammit!! What an idiot. Seriously though PD should of put a YES/NO prompt after that button! It does it for restart so why not quit!? Makes no sense to me. Anyhoo that was my race over obviously. I enjoyed it while it lasted though. Despite Nordschliefe being one of my least favourite courses. Its a test track!!! Not a race track! :P

It was fun despite trying to push and having an 'off' too many times :)

My pit crew got a work out :dopey:; 4 stops! Only once from hitting another car; who shall be nameless as he has already posted his apologies :)

I may change my name to 'Guardrail' after that race :lol:

When I get a chance there should be some nice photos from that race 👍
 
After last night's race, I thought that I should try myself again in the same conditions. So, I gave myself a try round Nords 24H and I managed a lap of 8.07,200. Being a little tired today too, and having lowered FFB level a bit which helped much, I understand that having a grid of over 5 persons in such a large track, the reactions from and to the vehicle were not very accurate (last night). I suppose there is the answer about what one of the settings about lounge is.

ok ok here goes, at first it's hell on wheels, then you kinda get used to the car trying to kill you. you relax in knowing that you can handle this beast then pow it chews you up and leaves you in a mangled wreck at the side of the road with all hope scattered like a car wreck. need to treat this one nice sunday is going to see alot of people sitting in the pits.

Sorry you missed us last night too Crispy. Was a blast. The race will be interesting judging by last nights tyre degredation. Then again I was 'hooning' it everywhere I could! :lol: Powersliding in the SLS is as sure as water is wet. I hope you guys have got some practice in for driving sideways!
 
I just changed the race lengths by a couple of laps since i know now what kind of lap times can be achieved. Also, i'm going to be online tonight, say.. 8.30pm. If you'd like to join me for practice guys, you're welcome 👍
