Nice pics Jacque! Where did you finish in the end? I totally forgot to record where people finished. I need to update my spreadsheet đź‘Ť

Have you tried the SLS yet? You're going to have to be gentle on that throttle pedal! If anything it might be a bigger challenge than nurburg!

I'm pretty sure you were now I think about it. Only 6 people finished that night I'm sure I can figure it out.

As for anyone competing in my fun run saturday night I figured we could start around 7 again. Is that good for everyone?

For Saturday would you list some cars, as I have never really understood what a family 'saloon car' is :dunce:

I'll drop in Saturday.

Not a fan of the Mercedes for Sunday, but will be there :dopey:

7 is no good for me so i'll just miss this one out and catch you guys on sunday for the death race which your hosting lol

just remembered i'm working till half 7 on sunday so will probably make the second race if thats ok?

Basically Jacque, if it has four seats, four doors and a trunk that sticks out a bit, its a sedan! Think Mercedes CL 63. Honda Accord Type R. Mazda Atenza etc.

As for the time on saturday I'm starting early because the tourny will probably take a while. Not really thought about how many races we're going to have, but I'm sure we'll be having fun enough to want to carry on!

By the way, all tracks will be put to a vote on saturday, we'll do 10 laps on each track and as many tracks as people can manage :D Looking forward to this. Obviously I do love our single make series but its nice to switch it up a bit every now and then đź‘Ť

See you all over the weekend guys. Happy Racing :)

Tomorrow us and on Sunday the F1 and after 8h again us. Much racing is on this weekend. Nice!

Tonite; NASCAR Nationwide; F1 Qualifying; Saturday saloon cars NASCAR Sprint Cup; F1 Race Late nite :)); Sunday concours and IZOD Indy Car . đź‘Ť

Talk about a race weekend eh :)

Certainly is going to be a massive racing weekender :D

Had great fun 'test running' some saloons last night, thanks for that guys, although it did end up...I won't even mention what the session ended up like, but one word will sum it up nicely...Hilarious

Going to be sticking with the Jag XFR, it's a little wild, but the fact that you get the sense it wants to kill you is part of the reason why I like it so much...plus it goes like stink đź‘Ť

Looking forward to seeing you guys over the weekend for what promises to be some epic racing

Oh, Jack, love your photos from the Nurb race, thought they were all pics of my car at first until I noticed number 29 instead of 74 :dunce: I hadn't realised we were practically running the same colours

Roh ,would you please post the Saturday saloon car HP and/or Power Point Limit.

Also any mods and tuning as long as within the HP and/or Power Point restrictions?

Sorry Jacque, I wasn't going to post specifics here as tonight isn't anything to do with concours. It's just something I've wanted to do for a while that doesn't fit with how us guys normally race. Never the less, the criteria is as follows.. Race Hard tyres, 510PP, no rear aero parts. Everything else is down to your discrection đź‘Ť

So guys... Nice race we saw in Sepang. For tonight, maybe I won't be able to race with you. I'll try to though. Nice saloon racing last night.

ARGH i wont be able to make it tonight (well atleast the 1st and maybe 2nd race). Ive started puting new flooring down and doing some wireing and its taken alot long than i thought ****

Also the miss wont let me leave it half done because i wont do it till next weekend ARGH

i will try my best to get it done quick

sorry guys

Mixed feelings last night.

That car was hard to drive on this tires. I think the better option would be the Sport Softs. But thats just me. I don't like to drive on Hards on something with more than 500 HP.

In the first race i was keeping a good pace behind the leaders of the race, and decided to pit, thinking noone would be able to keep the car on the track in the last laps. You proved me wrong. :ouch:

In Deep Forest i lost control of the car at lap 4 in the last turn, and went right to the pit lane. :dunce:

Last race was the best one.

I had no pace for the top guys, so i drived safely and had a great battle with Burr. I then see Shin on the pits and Crispy in too the next lap. No no guys. This time i will be on this tires till the end.

And so i did. I saw Cpt D coming and i let him go. I just nurse this Badas* car till the end.

Thanks for pitting Gents. I was really unhappy with the races so far, so you put a smilr on my face. :)đź‘Ť

Well guys, first of all I want to appologise for any erratic behavior on my part last sunday. I dont think I ruined anyones race or caused any damage, I just felt all over the place so sorry if you got amongst it :ouch:

Short story is I had a headache from hell. In hindsight I should of just sat this one out and spectated. To be fair though I was on the pace, if not setting it while my tyres were at their optimum, however once the tyres started to give way I just didnt have the capacity to deal with it that night. Very disappointed as I'd really looked forward to the SLS :grumpy: I absolutely love driving the wheels off that thing!

One thing I want to touch on from those races too is the fact people were going the distance on one set of tyres. It certainly wasnt possible for me for the reasons I already mentioned, but running at the back of the pack highlighted a short coming in my opinion. While I dont take anything away from people not stopping for tyres, (it takes a lot of skill and concentration), the artificial lead they aquire is often too much to overcome in these short races we do. For example pit entry and exit is roughly 30 seconds. Even if the leader dropped 2 seconds per lap, with 10ish laps left to race there's just no way to beat them.

On sunday I also had one race where I made a mistake and damaged my car. Once again after pitting there was no way, barr any mistakes by the leaders, to bridge that gap. Of course this was my own error, but I got to thinking that this could of been a race incident and no fault of my own.

So to conclude; to prevent artificial leads, and to stop damaged drivers having zero chance after pitting, Pitstops are now mandatory unless otherwise stated.

You will be able to see which races have forced pit stops in the current criteria section đź‘Ť

Right!.. On to round eleven! This time I'm bringing lots of pain killers with me  Its going to be an epic event if last nights testing was anything to go by :D

Welcome đź‘Ť I'll send you a friend request right now. I'll get a couple of guys to join us for a few test laps in the week too ;)

Woohoo, my first podium in Concours :D

I had some great moments this week, including a great battle with Kamy and also an intense final lap in the final race with Shin and Crispy, both of you bearing down on me with much fresher tyres :scared:. Crispy managed to get past, but Shin's headache contributed a slightly wide final corner and I just about held onto 3rd

I really enjoyed the SLS, which I was surprised by after my little practice session in midweek when I really struggled with it. Not pitting certainly helped me out this week though, which was a first for me, i usually stack it at some point in a race (so I certainly welcome the mandatory stops đź‘Ť )

Also looking forward to next weeks combo, I've put in a lot of time with this car in the WRS a few weeks back.

Oh Roh, not a single real world track :yuck:

I'll still be there though :)

You asked on Sunday for suggestions on how to get bigger grids?

Perhaps a poll question?

Personally I enjoy racing on the real world tracks more đź‘Ť

Woohoo, my first podium in Concours :D

Well done Burr, great racing the other night

In complete contrast to the Captain, I had a fantastic weekend with two wins, albeit running on one set of tyres (though in my defense I was leading when I decided not to pit :sly:), and a second place (that would've been a third had I not jumped Shin after the pit stops, as despite his headache, managed to defend beautifully and I had no chance of passing), in race three đź‘Ť

Really enjoyed the SLS and seemed to get comfortable with it almost immediately...great car!

Thanks as always to the Captain, and everyone else who turned up for the great racing over both nights last weekend, I really enjoyed it đź‘Ť

And now onto the Spoon CRZ, and like Shin said, if last nights practice (Once we raced properly ) is anything to go by, we're in for a treat with this one! Tight as you like, with overtaking that has to be precisely timed...it's that close :D

i will post an advert for the concours club in the big gt500/gt300 series im in, we race with heavy damage so they are all very good clean racers (kamy is 1 but his slow and not so clean HAHA)

looking forward to weekend as i missed last ARGH

Guys guys guys!!

I found this thread on page 3!! Three!!!!

I think I might make the entrance criteria for the race weekends a single post in this thread! Seriously though where's the love :(

Just finished work so I should be available for a race or two this evening/afternoon. Looking forward to this weekend too. As Crispy said the racing should be close from start to finish. And in F1 Shanghai is one of my favourite tracks. Although I probably wont have time to watch it until after concours.... so shush! :P

Ok haven't raced in a while but I will definetly be there on Sunday.:D
Is the car able to go that long without losing it's battery?

yeah me too shin thought you'd packed it in, i won't be on on sunday as i get the short straw this week, but will be aboot the following sunday. and the battery does last a fair wee while in this weeks toy. done some laps on the tracks the other night, it was good fun wiil be great fun on sunday when your all fighting for the same bit of tarmac! good luck for the race i'll be aboot tonight and tomorrow night for some fun if any of you guys will be aboot

looking forward to sunday as always.... i think ive got the car in my garage but only used it once for a seasonal event (i think)
