2. Have you read all 3 opening posts fully?
What cars is used for tomorow..?
??
I got just one more question, why is aero proposed, i mean how will you police that.. you can police turbo but not the aero.. this is just a feedback, nothing more..
Like Douqa said, we dont get many people joining a one make single tune race series looking to cheat. If you do, you will be noticed very easily, because everyone else runs within the regulations. The are two different PP restrictions in place for two halves of the grid tonight. If you've tuned your car instead of following the first posts you will not be able to join. Also,
ANY setting changes not outlined in the Current Criteria are prohibited.
This thread is for people who like to race in equal cars. Its all about the driver not the car. I would suggest reading through the first posts again where you will learn everything you need to know.
Also, as other members have pointed out, each week the 'Current Criteria' section will be changed to include the current weeks combo. You will find everything you need to know about sundays racing there.
Would be nice if i could be designated a car so can get some practice in.
I have two questions:
-Do you run you own transmission / suspension / LSD settings?
-Also, approximately how many laps / miles do you run?
As you've missed the deadline for being included in a team, you may run whatever SC430 you have in your garage. However as stated above and in the first posts, you may not change settings of any kind. Unless stated in the Current Criteria. Default everything!
Race lengths are determined by time. I try to make races last around 20minutes. Sometimes longer depending on how many tracks are in the combo. Race meets generally last 2 hours +.
Oh and my best so after 6 laps in the Bandai Direzza at Suzuka is a 2.00.6xx. Its capable of 1.59s no problem.
After 6 laps:
Suzuka - 2.00.811
Great laps there gents. I didnt have time to do any practice at home last night. I need to see if I can match those times because when I ran my car the last time, my best was a 2'02.0. Either I'm off the pace or settings need to be altered again. See below.
I bought the Petronas to experiment, leaving the set up default as well, and it was significantly more planted and stable. My laptime immediately dropped by 0.5 and stayed down below 2:03 lap after lap ultimately going low 2:02s quickest, is the ENEOS supposed to have more oversteer? Or is something wrong with mine?
I've been saying all along that each car has its different characteristics. The ENEOS is only slightly more skitish in the corners than the others with the downforce limits I've enforced. And the ENEOS IS quicker in the straights. That said, I went to see my mate who plans to join Concours sometime soon, and it was the ENEOS that he bought to race in.
After a few laps with the ENEOS I achieved a 2'02.1. And I felt like that was its maximum pace. (My friend who is brand new to sim racing was in the 2'07's) The ENEOS is the only one that achieves maximum power and maximum downforce within the restrictions also, so it will not be able to do much more than that.
The Bandai, Denso and Petro need bringing into line with the ENEOS even more it seems. But I'm happy to take your opinions on board.
Either, we scrap the ENEOS all together, and anyone who was designated it can race another car of their choosing. Or, do more testing, which I will be doing this morning anyway, and bring the others into line with the ENEOS? I'm inclined to go for the latter.
I'll post again just before the GP with test results. If you guys are online either join me or do your own laps, changing your power output if needed to produce 2'02 laps 👍
