Got to agree Shin, this weeks combo looks fantastic and I love the twist in qualifying 👍 Kind of reminds me of the old F1 quali, and the 'One shot showdown' they used to run in the BTCC in the mid-nineties! Excellent idea mate!

I'll be about this evening for a test session, now that my room has cooled down considerably...had 84 degrees in there on sunday when we were racing if you're available :ouch:

Great Video as well there Douqa, I can see alot of time went into that 👍

Cheers Crispy. The car is an absolute blast to drive as well. It took a bit of time to get the 1M specs bang on, but bhp, torque, weight and sound are all near as damn it correct. Just a shame we're missing the 'many poo shoots' and flared arches  I'll catch you tonight for some tom foolery 👍

Oh and Pag, the video went in the OP before I'd even finished watching it :D

Lol Nice 1 Roh....

I just got the car and put all bits on, the "Power Curve" is a bit flat (hopefully done everything right) or do you want to try and get the spec as near to the 1M?

My personal opinion is that since the cpu limiter changes HP-torque diagram in the (bad) way it does ruining the torque curve, it'd be much better if we didn't have the sports exhaust in order to keep limiter limited in 2-3% only...

Replying a little late, but eh.. no worries on what happened at Suzuka Gary.
Just don't get mad when I "accidentally" do the same some day:sly:

Nice work on that video Douqa:tup:

The car is fine. The real 1M produces maximum torque (320ftlb [370 on overboost]) at 1500rpm. The performance graphs in GT reflect this in my opinion. And thats all I wanted to acheive. Similar specs to the 1M, and a similar sound too. Hence the sport exhaust. 335bhp, check. 370ish torques, check. 1495kg, check. (had to take out 5kg to acheive lobby restrictions). Killer sound, check 👍

Stop picking fault and just drive :P

Haha! That wont happen, this weekend was special. I dont normally find myself so far back as you :sly:

:D And besides. I own the ban hammer!

Jokes aside I do apologise mate. Looked like you got your entry slightly wrong so I snook a move on the inside. You didnt drift wide as far as I thought you were going to, closing speed was too great and the accident resulted. Even now in my replay it looks like nothing more than a glance.

Hey ho. We all do our best to avoid incidents here, but accidents happen. There's no escaping it :scared:

I'll be out qualifying you by a country mile from now on. Forwards OR backwards! :P

How did last nights testing go.

i wanted to join but had the miss in my ear wanting to watch tv lol

I came in a little late to the party with 0 miles on the BMW but only got a lap in on the TGTT. That being said I really liked it, just the right amount of oversteer without being uncontrollable as you'd expect from an 'M' car. Seems like it will be a good combo come Sunday.

Some good moments in the Caterhams to, overtaking a GT300 car for a turn, overtaking at 120 by going to grass instead of slowing down like a true lunatic and general on edge car control or lack of at points .

Looks like i might be back in time for this weeks race guys, finally got a replacement router sent out yesterday, but its a 3-5 day delivery time, so got my fingers crossed its here for the weekend...

Sweet looking forward to racing with you again

(everything has moved)

Panicked a bit as everything has had a move around! Bought my beemer, must admit, give the throttle a bit if respect and its quite well mannered in the handling. Run a few laps, at tgtt, tsukuba just to run the thing in. All being well, will definitely be racing this weekend.

Thats great news guys 👍 I'll look out for you in the week so we can maybe get a little practice in together. Properly looking forward to this weekend :D Hope you are too :)

Roh: How did the Super GT Teams do last Sunday?

Unfortunetely I had to scrap the team idea Jack. Once the lobby opened and I could finally see who was involved, I couldnt re-jig the teams quick enough. Next time I put a plan into action like that I will have to have a 100% guarantee of attendance from competitors, less they miss out all together. Ie, you confirm attendance and gain a team spot, or show on the night and you will spectate only.

It went well mate.. The one lap format is a hoot. Works much better than I had expected with people spectating too. I'll remind everyone on the night, but basically if you switch to spectate before the current contender starts the race, you will seamlessly switch to spectating the actual lap. Including the grid start. Will be much fun on sunday. Cant wait :D

I got slightly silly that night  Before you came along we had some proper races, albeit only for 3 laps. I didnt want to stop drifting it around everywhere!! So much fun! And when it came to doing a fast lap in the qualy format, I found myself putting a boot in instead of modulating the throttle. I need to stop drifting it and start driving it!

Maybe :sly:

I'm up for turning it into a drift race . As for the team race I think you can make those who can't be 100% sure into wild cards with no teams, just to pad the grid out and have fun (excluded from results).

Thats what I had intended to do last weekend. But people who said they would show didnt, people who said they wouldnt did... It was all a bit of a nightmare from an organisational point of view.

Having people confirm 100% means I can make solid teams. And it also encourages those who might sit on the fence otherwise to commit so they dont lose the chance to race.

I thought I could re shuffle teams on the night as people joined the lobby. But it proved too difficult. If the team idea is going to work, everyone coming to the track on sunday needs to be booked ahead of time.

Team racing isnt a normal weekend for Concours, and it will need a little more organising and commitment than usual 👍

What I would suggest is if everyone could be encouraged to post about an hour before (just before TG in other words) when they should be absolutely sure they can come, that gives time to sort teams out. Similarly if we choose a car before hand to run-in, (i.e. not a racer except RMs) then just pick a specific colour from a cheap car for each team like a Civic or something.

OI Captain, im not happy, i just looked at "The Weeks Gone By" on OP and the last 1 we did (the lexus SC430), my photo is me CRASHING. It has to be the worst crash ive ever done and you got a photo of it LOL

Was wondering where the thread went to and here it is in Clubs and Leagues (makes sense!) :)

The BMW is fun to drive, not a fan of the tracks for Sunday though :)

Booo shame. Hate work!

Hopefully you've recieved an invitation to something that may cheer you up just now.

That goes to everyone!!:- Top Secret Invitation Acceptance Required :D

See you 'over there' soon chaps 👍

Really like the sound of this but wat time do we start

All the information you need is in the first few opening posts of this thread. Just take a little time to read through them, paying particular attention to the OLR. Get yourself familiar with the rules in place at Concours, then follow the appropriate guidlines for membership application.

If you have any questions afterward please feel free to post 👍

Hey guys. Hope you've got in enough practice for this evening. In race conditions the drive can be quite exhausting. Especially at Tsukuba. Plenty of work going on at the steering wheel! Will be fun for sure.

Just a reminder to everyone as well, Concours will start an hour later than usual this week, and all subsequent weeks while Top Gear is on. We start at

9PM BST

I have one question: The paved area on the right hand side after the final short tunnel on deep forest reverse is off limits right?
