No mate. The teams will remain secret until saturday or even sunday.

There are a few iterations as I still dont know for sure if certain people are going to commit or show up on the night. I'll have to do a quick shuffle once I'm 100%. Most outcomes are planned for though. Even if its in the lobby, will only take me a second to look at my spreadsheet 👍

Cool, damn sunday is gunna be soooo GOOD, F1, concours (Super GT) and Top Gear Wow, all i need now is for my girlfriend to cook me a roast YUM YUM

What's the deal with the different set ups? Are all cars not the same to start off? I can see why the '06 car is different but what's the deal with the Eneos? Also what about oil changes and run-ins, I'm assuming we are allowed to change the oil and whatnot and this has been taken into account but just wanna be sure.

Anyway, I'm still on to turn up at the moment though I can't be certain just yet.

You sound like I've never tested a combo before

Over the past few days I've been using the Grand Valley enduro in B-spec, or 'Like the wind' to run in each of the cars to around 200miles. Gave them all an Oil change then tested on Suzuka. I was also surprised that the cars were so different as I expected them to be pretty much the same. Hence having chosen them for Concours. Much testing later I came up with these settings. The cars do have different strengths and weaknesses, but over the entire lap they all have relative pace.

As usual testing will continue right up to the weekend. Just to be sure everything is A OK. If you guys would like, I'd appreciate you posting lap times to help with the process. I have a pretty busy week from here on in so I may only get an hour or so to race GT.

Just for reference, I'm currently lapping in the 2'02's with the Bandai 👍
I was doing the same in the ENEOS Dragon. That was actually my favourite to drive :(

The bold was more what I was getting at, you'd think they'd be identical if they're the same model year, as you'd think all the cars have the same parts in real life but different teams setting them up and drivers of course. As for oil changes I'm just checking we were allowed to do them on our own cars, better safe then sorry after all as you can never be to sure 👍.

What? Why are there reserves with a 9 person grid?

The guys on the reserve list are those who havent confirmed either way wether they will be racing on sunday. They aren't discluded, they will form one man teams or another team between them.

Would you give hp values so that I can make sure I am at max hp at 98.6%. for the Bandai please, thanks

Sure. Infact, I was just on my way here to update the current criteria to include revisions made last night. And I can include bhp figures no problem.

These latest revisions were made last night with 6 guys on track. Now that we're all pretty much up to speed, it was easier to see where the current setups were falling down. These new settings provide a much closer grid, despite appearences. I'm sure those guys will testify once they see this post 👍

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around, i'm having a nightmare with sky broadband. I'm having to use my phone to type this because I've been without internet for over a week now. I've also been away on holiday which meant I couldn't chase sky up very quickly...

I still don't know when I'll be back on, I'm hoping they just send me a new router, which is what I need, but they insist on pointless line tests and firmware updates first. As soon as I'm back up and running i'll let you know...

I hope u get it sorted because sunday is gunna be ACE! lol

Great racing last night, all cars seem to be very close, i didnt see much of the ENEOS tho

Which circuit was that 2' 02 on? Suzuka? I did 2:04:584 on lap 2 so I hope to see improvement on my part this weekend:)

2:03:539 my best so far after 7 laps

On those circuits, it has to be Suzuka I think. I've only ran 3 laps on Suzuka for my practice and that's it  so it will be a complete mystery like last week in the M3s for me.

Yeah you're both right. I've only ran Suzuka so far, not even turned a wheel at Fuji or Tokyo. I need to get some practice in tonight. So i'll probably be on for an hour or two. Maybe tomorrow morning instead depending on how I feel after work.

Apart from Jacque I dont see anyone posting any lap times by the way. It would really help to guage wether infact I've got the restrictors right on this combo.

In the racing the other night its fairly easy to keep pace with the leaders with draft and so on. I want to know what times you guys are putting on in clean air.

Also, Paginas, I did a 2'02.5 in the ENEOS the last time I drove it. As soon as the Bandai was drawn for me I didnt go back however. I may dust it off and make sure it can consistantly lap in the '02's.

Ok cool so it does have pace... yea maybe some more laps to make sure its consistant...

Not sure if i have time to do some testing today/tonight but tomorrow morning maybe before the F1 Race

I hope i can join you for a session tomorrow, 26.06

1. I agree to abide by the rules and regulations outlined in the OLR.
2. I have read all 3 opening posts fully.
3. I understand perfectly
4. I am willing to perform a few test laps to prove my respectful racing credentials.

I have a GTP_ account but haven't run the qualifier yet. My PSNs are BRM-V16 / GTP_BRM-V16.

Wow Tomorrow is looking good Roh, 2 more sign ups

Looks like you got another team hehe

What cars is used for tomorow..? are the cars in opening thread in use, are they change as the event is changing, i mean are actual cars always in opening thread..?

Thank you so much..

Yes every week "The Captain" will change the cars (mainly stock, all Premium)

This week is a little bit different as we are using 4 different types of the Super GT500 Lexus SC430

To make them all fair they have been tweaked abit e.g. less downfaorce and some cars have to use the power limiter etc

"The Captain" will choose a car at random for you and a team mate will be added tomorrow

My 2 first laps with fuel load and fresh tires with Denso are 2.02.5 in Suzuka (online). May I ask about transmission, suspension and LSD settings?

Would be nice if i could be designated a car so can get some practice in.

I have two questions:
-Do you run you own transmission / suspension / LSD settings?
-Also, approximately how many laps / miles do you run?

This may not be the most solid response, but I think it's at least enough to get counted for the race. :/

Got the PM Roh and next week looks awesome, I'll try to be there for sure. 👍

If not, then count me in now.

Actually scratch all that, I can't come anyway. :P

I got just one more question, why is aero proposed, i mean how will you police that.. you can police turbo but not the aero.. this is just a feedback, nothing more..

We run an honour system here at Concours. We are all here for fun, there are no prizes on offer, there is no reason to cheat.

I really dont se point in restricting it.. i hope this feedback you dont take personaly..

I dont take it personally, but then I dont make the rules. I'm sure Captain Roh wont take it personally either, he gets a lot of feedback.

I know he's done plenty of testing, as he does for every combo, and has decided that the cars needed tweaking to bring them closer together. I'm sure you'll enjoy it decho.

Oh and my best so after 6 laps in the Bandai Direzza at Suzuka is a 2.00.6xx. Its capable of 1.59s no problem.

After 6 laps:

Suzuka - 2.00.811

Fuji F - 1.39.127 Braking at 171mph on the straight.

Tokyo - 1.39.258 Braking at 171mph on the straight. I'm not great on this one, 38's are achievable, but not consistently.

Everthing is default settings unless Roh says specifically in race info.

Race length varies depending on track; 20 minutes warm up/qualifying and usually 20 minute race there abouts eh :)

I am still breaking in the engine so that I can be sure the Bandai is at max hp when I apply the power limiter setting of 98.6%. At least there is no wiper in the middle of your cockpit view with this car :dopey:

These cars will be fun to race each other in 👍 Except maybe on the 'freeway' course :sly:

Opening my Lobby now for some practice
