Everything I've read says the ps4 will be (relatively speaking) cheaper than the ps3 was at launch and that what hiked the ps3 price up was the major development and launch of bluray, a scenario that isn't happening this time around.

I don't know too much about it though, just a few snippets I've read

It's not the 4k chip that will cost, looking at TV prices, the smallest realistic one I've found is from LG - 32" priced at $17,000!!!!! ****off!!!! No way!

I can't see why Sony would add this as it's seriously not worth it. Plus the average size of 4k screens (most are from projectors) are around 90" !!!! Too big for a desk setup, and even some living rooms!

Well if you remember HDTV's were very expensive also, and in the next few years, I'm sure 4K TV's will become more resonable. Besides, I'm sure the PS4 will be compatible with 1080p televisions as well.

Hah I know it doesn't make sense. But they have been doing all this 4k stuff recently.

On tonight's race! How are we all finding the track?

Apologies to anyone who felt my driving was rough tonight...without making excuses but the new shifts I work are having an impact on my alertness and sharpness around the track...my body clock is all over the place and when we hit race time I'm feeling the effects!

As for tonight, I felt this was my worst outing, possibly due to the low turnout or my fatigue, but it felt even thought I was there, everything felt 'distant' as if I wasn't there :indiff:

With this in mind and as it looks as if we've lost 2 drivers this season, I need to reconfigure and re-address the seasons going forward.

For now, Season 7's current line-up will be dropped in favour of Season 8's line-up to alleviate hopefully the time needed to set-up both cars across the season as we'll only need to set-up our Championship Car and help me to focus on the racing with only 4 weeks left of the current season.

If all goes to plan a new Season 8 will be created (but further down the line) No more getting too far ahead!

I'm sure it was largely the track's fault, inviting situations that most wouldn't do normally. I also drove way outside of my understanding for a "clean" race. CR Inside doesn't really have a great passing spot since there is only one line to take into the turns. This lead to me just forcing the care inside of people because easing off the accelerator would cause a huge time loss around the track. I also cut the chicane at the pit entry a bit too often while going for a pass.

We lost 2 drivers? Sad to hear. Are there reasons?

CORE GT Car of the Weekend!

~ Fully Race Tuned ~

Awesome Sound

***HEADS UP***

Highlights coming tomorrow with the updated tables as normal...

But as we only have 4 races left, rather than starting the 'new' S7 campaign off the week following the end of S6, I propose a one off 2hr Endurance in the week between seasons...

Get Ready Gents, for the return of the GCT200 Special Event! 👍

3 abreast into the chicane! :nervous:

R6H1-7.png

OmniusALX using as much of the track as possible to get through that chicane!

R6H1-8.png

Third_Reign runs wide and OFF :ouch:

R6H1-9.png

Full on the power and greasy tyres, Third_Reign has nowhere to go as Cobrius is in the wrong place at the wrong time :ouch::indiff:

R6H1-10.png

Cobrius can't hold it...:ouch:

R6H1-11.png

OmniusALX off as Scanny_Flick closes down...

WarriusZero gets the slipstream on the approach to the chicane...

OmniusALX still battling with Scanny_Flick for that position :D

R6H1-15.png

Third_Reign into the pits!

R6H1-16.png

Fuelmyfire with a comfortable lead out in 1st place 👍

R6H1-19.png

Yet another win on the cards for Fuelmyfire??? :sly:

Let battle commence! :D

R6H1-24.png

As the race nears it's end, can Dowlin39 cause an upset and close down Fuelmyfire for the win?

R6H1-25.png

R6H1-26.png

Not one of Cobrius' better races - sometimes you need a little bit of luck :indiff:

R6H1-27.png

Lap after lap, nothing can seperate Fuelmyfire & Dowlin39

R6H1-28.png

Surely thats it! Fuelmyfire off!!! :ouch: It's all Dowlin's for the taking!

R6H1-29.png

Just as the battle for 1st comes to an end, the battle for 3rd is going down to the wire! 👍

R6H1-30.png

Final lap for Dowlin39 as a stricken Cobrius retires...

R6H1-31.png

Excellent racing from the man in green! 👍 Well done Dowlin!!! 👍 :D :D :D

R6H1-32.png

2nd place for Fuelmyfire...it was probably just a blip :sly:

R6H1-33.png

Third_Reign lives up to his name and gives the CGT another close finish for 3rd 👍

Reverse grid time for Heat 2 :)

R6H2-2.png

Can Omnius hold onto his pole start?

R6H2-3.png

In Formation 👍

R6H2-4.png

R6H2-5.png

Short lived lead, normal service is resumed from Fuelmyfire :D

R6H2-6.png

Third_Reign overcooks it into turn 1 as WarriusZero takes the advantage 👍

R6H2-7.png

Dowlin39 takes an early stop! ...probably wise as WarriusZero & OmniusALX dive into the chicane abreast! :scared:

R6H2-8.png

Cobrius steps out onto the start/finish straight :scared::crazy:

R6H2-9.png

R6H2-10.png

...if anything, quite an impressive stretch of rubber 👍

R6H2-11.png

Seconds out, round 2 as Scanny_Flick & WarriusZero are the first to lock horns in Heat 2 :)

R6H2-12.png

R6H2-13.png

R6H2-14.png

OmniusALX observes from a safe distance

R6H2-15.png

R6H2-16.png

It's Third_Reign's time to take on the might of the Flying Frenchman, WarriusZero :sly:

R6H2-17.png

Third_Reign into the lead :D 👍

R6H2-18.png

R6H2-19.png

Dowlin39 from his early pitstop makes short work of OmniusALX as he runs too wide and off at turn 1 :dunce:

R6H2-20.png

...Scanny_Flick makes the most of it too!

R6H2-21.png

With an early pitstop complete, Dowlin39 eases into the lead as the rest of the field take their stops...

R6H2-22.png

Thats 2 from 2 for Dowlin39 this Friday 👍 CONGRATS 👍 :D :D :D

R6H2-23.png

Fuelmyfire holding on for another 2nd place...not the normal night of racing for our challenger to the missing Geordie139

R6H2-24.png

As if to make amends from Heat 1, It's Scanny_Flick who takes 3rd place :D Well done that man!

Awesome pics man. And yeah... My starts were amazing ^^. Shame I was slow after that. I was between .7-1.2 secs down a lap...

I do play a lot more on the PC than my PlayStation

What controller do you use, Fuel? I also built my own PC about six months ago for around the £600 mark with the help of my fiancée's brother. I have only got into any gaming on it in the last couple of weeks but am finding game control difficult. I thought I'd have to go with an Xbox controller as a friend told me it was directly compatible but then found out about MotionInJoy(?) that works with the DS3 plugged in. I have found the Xbox default easier to run than the DS3, plus the SixAxis was making the game do weird things if I changed my seating position - but the button layout is totally different and it's annoying me. Alphabetical letters instead of geometrical symbols.....? Ugh.

Also - my fiancée has informed me that furniture for our house is more important than a next-gen gaming console. I, however, entirely disagree. Any tips in my debate with her as to why a PS4 would be more beneficial to our home than a fridge or oven would be greatly appreciated....

"Honey do you want me to wrap the car around a tree or do you want to see me live my passion safe and sound"

"But you already have that game"

"Its broken and outdated" (If she is anything like the women I know, she won't notice if its not plugged in when showing her the "broken" PS3)

Or if you are brave enough: "A new oven and fridge wont really help with your diet!"

Awesome pics as usual Omnius, I am gutted I couldnt attend. As you know I probably will not make this coming Friday also, sad duties to attend to.:(
Should be back to normal the week after though. 👍👍

Roger I don't use a controller. Mouse and keyboard all the way. I can't think of a game, besides racing, where I would want to use a controller either.

I've attracted the attention of Toyota UK from the highlights I've been posting through the CGT Facebook page! 👍

They were asking about my series and the wider online racing community here on GTP, and if there was any way they could assist me with my endeavours! :D

tell them to send a GT 86 my way to deliver spectacular footage of me conquering the ring! I live but a stones throw away!

They could donate a GT 86 in the colours of the eventual winners car,or maybe a mouse mat if thats pushing it a bit :sly::sly:

Loving the suggestions

They're going to keep intouch and get back to me soon 👍 Nice one Toyota GB :D
