Awsome photo's again mate 👍👍 How long does it take you to do the photoshoot? You've got way more patience than me.

The crash with king in race 1 was a bit of a bummer,i'd spent the first 4 laps in a close battle with jammy rex, finally made it past to chase the leaders down and got caught up in the incident.
Always pays to watch the mini map when rejoining the track:sly: but i'm happy to file that one under "**** happens" and move on as me and king had a good, clean race long chase in round 2 to make up for it. 👍👍

great pics omnius .
BTW ade what button do you have your indicators on (mirror signal manoeuvre )

I'll reinstate you for Round 2.

Apologies, but from your PSN message, it pretty much sounded like you were returning to your Touge series....

This season's timetable is on page 1, have a look and see what tracks we'll be racing on

Im still doing Touge, luckily its 1vs1 and we do battles whenever were online, so I can brush up on my racing skills there :D Well, its more of a street thing though, tight and twisty Toscana tracks.

I started processing the photos from the replays first thing this morning, and as you can see, just got them all sorted and uploaded by 9pm :scared:

It does take time, but I like to do it for everyone who races in the CORE, gives something for everyone to look back on :) 👍

It does take a lot of time. I too like to put the effort in for the Sunday Cup with the graphics. After the race I make the podium pic, then most of Monday evening is spent on the grid, result and driver standings table. I think that if people race in your series, then they like to see results and pics. I find it very rewarding to be appreciated for the time spent organizing these fantastic racing series.

Hear, Hear! 👍👍👍

Wow the photos and captions were awesome, thanks so much Omnius, your efforts in producing these write-ups are really appreciated and I must admit I have been looking forward to seeing them all day! Brought back the memories of some brilliant battles I had over the two races... Race one with many close laps against Geordie139 and then Omnius for a few more laps, with Omnius pitting early JUST making the difference as you came sweeping past after my own later stop - all credit to you and the conclusion of a great fight!

Then in race 2 my very long and extremely intense battle with jamesybograt, which was fantastic to be part of while it lasted, then I spent a lonely few laps in the lead as others in front of me pitted before I stopped to pit myself, but that was nice while it lasted any way!

All in all, I totally enjoyed the racing and got such a buzz from the battles!!! :-) so thanks to everyone for making it so much fun!

Also thanks to jamesybograt for helping me resolve my car choice the night before the race as I was extremely unprepared, but I seemed to gel with the NSX which is appropriate as I am a Honda man through and through! :-)

Many thanks for the support!

If it wasn't for good racers such as yourself who make up the series, I wouldn't have the content to photograph, so it's such a pleasure to try and capture the feel of the race, from as many points of view as possible, not just my own.

Even though the photoshoots take quite a while to compile (I normally take on average 60 photos then trim them down to 20-30 per race) It's alot quicker than uploading a video to YouTube.

Speaking of replays, I hope you all managed to download both races from the link I provided a few posts above?

Back to the NSX RM next week :)

Looking forward to Indy! But I feel some first corner incidents might occur...

I concur! But this will separate the men from the boys

We all know about it, but lets see come race day who will heed the potential danger, cold tyres?

In hindsight I think unless you qualify on pole, it will be safer to hang back :sly: ...let the carnage ensue

I really struggle at Indy. Just cant seem to get into any rhythm. Maybe the NSX will be better behaved than my Esprit was in GT3.5. I just hope that the car doesnt suffer the same damage we saw at Monza.

Great Pics again!!! Ready to get back in that NSX lol.

Looking forward to Indy love the track.

Yeah that was completely my fault Geordie i felt horrible. I just switched to bumper view after US national finals for GT Academy and with running bumper view i changed map scale to 2 and its really hard to know where guys are at on track unless they are right near you. Either way i ruined your race in heat 1 and i completely apologize for it. But we did have a great race 2 i couldnt shake you completely the whole race. 👍

Yea thanks, downloaded them last night and watched the first race back - fantastic! I forgot how I had such a big impact into the kingbestjr/geordie incident as I also had nowhere to go! Crash! Luckily the damage to my car only lasted a few corners... Looking forward to watching the 2nd race later!!!

I've been concerned about this too, so I've just ran a few tests....

The bad news :ouch: There appears to be a bug with the damage model just with the NSX RM - Light or Heavy - in my testing, I never had 'handling' probs, from either the light damage, after the car healed itself, or following a pitstop to repair heavy damage.

But what I did have every time was I could only manage 140mph tops!!!

So I ran the same tests with the damage model switched off and it worked! No damage, no lasting top speed issues (or handling)

As I find the damage system to be an integral part of the CGT - even more now in the Endurance events I gave it one more test....having the damage on, but this time switch off visual damage :indiff:

Now for the good news.... IT WORKED!!!! Light or Heavy damage, as long as visual damage is off and all is well - even though I like to 'see' damage on the cars, it's not the end of the world to run with it off versus not having any damage at all.

👍

.......as long as visual damage is off......

I run it with visual damage off in The Sunday Cup. It was something that Third_reign mentioned about it affecting connections. I agree that it is good to see some visual damage, but if we do have to turn it off in order to keep the racing better, its no big deal.

Thats true, I'd rather have the physical effects of damage on our cars than just a visual ones. More so now I've foundout there is indeed a bug with the NSX RM damage model

So not only will it help with the connections, it will allow for a 'safer' crash

I always hang back at the start, but you can easily gain some places if you're aggressive.

Bit late to post this but... Great pictures again Omnius, the Shelbys look deadly in amongst all the Japanese machinery. Still wouldn't mind having my German machine instead but whats done is done. Looking forward to the next one.

Also I cant make the race this friday, another birthday to attend this week.

I've noticed that, the NSX is normally good on tyres, but compared to Monza I'm losing 2 laps with my tyres....

Same here, managed to hump a set within 6 laps. They will last longer with a bit of care but I can still see a lot of pit stops on Friday.

Wouldn't surprise me if Jamesy "Michelin man" bograt tries to one stop,he's got a knack of making the tires last.
