I just reread the results, I'm confused now, not gonna question them though hahahaha

The lap counts are distorted by the two wet races, so if a team's stronger driver raced in the dry and a weaker in the wet, then they would have more total laps but can be further back in total time than a team that did the opposite.

Christmas Cup Down Under Graphic Large.jpg

So those veteran teams from last year will know that at Christmas time as a chance for some fun and a little holiday, we go down to the Bathurst and have a couple of races round there and have a bit of a laugh. It counts for nothing but pride but its fun to do and last year it was met with good reviews so we're going back again.

Format:
Date: 20:00 on the 20th December or 18:00 on the 28th December
Track: Bathurst
Race Length: 2x 1 hour sprints with Race 1 preceded by a 15 minute qualifying and Race 2 being reverse grid.
Start type: Rolling start
Entry: Open to only N24 teams
Cars: N24 Cars

However because there are more teams this time its a bit trickier to get you all out there with full grids so, I thought I'd have a whip round and see who'd be interested in racing. In your sign up can you also put your preferred date of racing just so we know.

If we have 8 teams or less sign up, it'll be 2 cars per team in each race and you can swap drivers out between the races. If its 9 or 10 teams it gets a bit more complicated but we have come up with a system for that too.

So without further ado... Who wants to go to Aus?

Love the concept but I'm unsure if I can make it, the other Heathens are welcome to have at it though 👍

It was great fun last year, even though both races went terribly for me. There are a couple of photos of the event on the old TMB facebook page I believe.

Won't RR (and possibly REST) just destroy everyone else? Bathurst is a lot about speed...

Last years event wasn't a total walk over by the GTR, and the bhp performance between last years specs and this years aren't much different, the weights aren't far away from what they were either, but the weather will probably be different, last year there was a bush fire through the region, this year its torrential rain, and I believe there is a nice cushion of snow on the blue mountains, good luck with that hahahaha

I said a holiday... it will be sunny :P

So none of this?

Kinda glad because ive not seen anyone drive like Larry on GT6 yet

not a particularly funny Barry Sheene doing the post lap interviews, but none the less good to see each driver have that kind of friendly banter with someone from the press, the best part is the dodgy editing by the broadcaster, as the scene fades out from the interview to the next driver, you get 2-5 seconds of fading discussion between Barry and the driver that had been just interviewed, like a friendly chat, This is personally my favorite top 10 shootout, being able to watch the cars behave in such a manor is just brilliant,

Hi mate. Take care about your ride and we'll take about ours. We're not here to destroy anybody's race. Once again we are pleased to take part of these such great events. Vote will follow.
