We just race and the combined times from both lobbies are calculated.

Like nin said its a combined outcome at the end.

Its all worked out by the longest distance in the shortest amount of time

I am still waiting for incident reports from, If you do not know what one is then all i need is a report of any incidents you had or saw and what lap they are on PM'ed to me or any stewards after every single race!!!!

Isn't Caine 22 laps behind and AJHG 43 laps behind.

Nope Pikey's still in because my wheel broke and I haven't had time to practice with a DS3 so I'm about 10 seconds a lap slower.

It does seem rather pointless for anyone to drive , doesn't it. Would it be possible to implement a system where if someone d/c then they get a certain percentage of the leaders laptime or something like that ?

No as I'm not going to sit and guess where people are going to be on track since anything can happen in racing, if it seems unfair then thats life and life is not fair, but no where in Motorsport is there ever guess work

Yeah, while rather frustrating for us, there is no other option.

Would have been nice if PD let people enter the race even if they miss quali, just start them at the back... but there is lots of things PD need to change.

Yes sorry @STALLIONO I was thinking of Lobby 1 opening times. You have to be there at 4:30 not 3:30.

I never asked for guess work. I was just suggesting something like Rally2 in the WRC Sorry you don't like it.

Originally known as "SuperRally," Rally 2 is a set of regulations that allow a driver who retires from an event to re-enter the next day at the cost of a five-minute time penalty. This allows drivers who retire from an event to continue on and compete for World Championship points; however, if they retire on the final leg of a rally, re-entering is not possible. Similarly, the use of Rally 2 regulations is at the discretion of event organisers. For instance, the Monte Carlo Rally does not employ Rally 2 regulations, meaning that any retirement is permanent.

EDIT : I also see the other side though. I just don't feel like spending 2 hours of my day playing GT6 to finish last. Fair is fair though.

All it is is adding the race result from both rooms for team points...it's pretty simple and if you dc then tough. If there is a mass dc then the race will be postponed and restarted a few mins later. Besides we ain't going to change the rules just because one person doesn't like disconnecting, some others had issues too and I haven't soon any complaints so lets move on.

If its ok, can I race tonight. We won't get anywhere, but I was so pumped for the race yesterday only to face that disappointment. I need to let my frustrations out. (Not in a bad way)

Lobbies

WEC S3 will be run in a multi lobby format and the lobbies will be staggered. This is so we can maximize people’s chances of racing and also for teams to be able to cover off any missing drivers (all will be released with rules and regulations). Even though you are not making a driver change in the same lobby, it is treated the same as you will be driving for the team to gain the best possible time.


Timing and scoring

The way that the timing and scoring is counted is the set number of laps completed and then the lowest time to complete that distance. So for example


Race distance 36 laps

Team 1


2:03:53.689 for driver 1

2:06:34.723 for driver 2


Team 2


2:04:02.249 for driver 1

2:05:23.284 for driver 2


then the outcome would be


Team 1

Lap 72 - 4:10:28.412


Team 2

Lap 72 - 4:09:25.533


So the winner would be Team 2, but if team 2 completes 1 lap less then team 1 would win.


I know this may seem like a random babble abut the series but I wanted everyone to understand the thinking behind the series and how it’s going to develop. I’m just hoping that this has shown the level of detail that is going into this series and its not just been hashed together last second without any thought being put into it. Hopefully I will see you guys on track soon testing your cars and getting all ready for March 1st!!!

I don't mind the d/c. It's always been a part of racing in a league. What's frustrating is when you waste your time practicing and it all comes to nothing not because you disconnect , but because someone else disconnects. Anyway I don't think there's any easy way of doing so.....
