Best picture I've seen so far, great colour combo, don't like it much in red (in general not a fan of red cars though).

Glad it turned out much better than those Jalopnik sketches which gave a good indication but the real car's proportions and lines clearly have far more tension and gel together nicely, was afraid they discovered the ruler and became obsessed with it but this car has some great curves as well.

Not world shocking or very innovative but so far I do like the shape (not saying it would have even closely resembled what I would've done if head of GM's design department but still ;)) and the interior is a huge improvement but how couldn't it be if they'd even remotely tried?
Again, nothing very special (do like the return of a digital display though) but it seems a nice place to be in if you don't opt for anything grey.

Oh yeah, no circular rearlights but square ones (shock horror...no not really), seems they forgot the ever more popular squarcle option (squarcles are the new circles) they themselves probably started by putting them on the C4 ZR-1. ;)

notStig
...but I'm not sure about that rear. It looks a bit ugly and too big. I didn't like the "Camaro-style tail lights" either.

That's GM for you. Most Chevy's are going to have that...the Camaro, Malibu, and now the Stingray all have it. Now to add it to the Silverado and SUVs, I guess.

Does anyone else notice that despite the unveil being over and done, this site still has a countdown?

After looking over the car, overall I think it looks great. The interior is nice, even though that's something I normally don't judge. The exterior looks sooo much better in red like the show car they used.

The rear...isn't bad, I guess I've warmed up to it, but I do think it's the weakest part of the car looks-wise. I'm also not crazy about it being called the "stingray." I know there's lots of history with the name & Corvettes, but I've never really liked it, but that's just semantics really.

Overall, I think it's one of those cars that are better seen in the flesh rather than in pictures. I really like it (a lot more then I was expecting) and I will envy those who are able to afford one.

I can't wait to see what the top trim version looks like.

The base model C6 looks like a family car compared to the ZR1

Turns out its just a replay of the Unveil :grumpy:

Link I'm supposed to go to doesn't work and there was that.

I really like the styling, well.... most of the styling, the rear hasn't completely sold on me yet.

Yes, I get it's the new visual ID from GM. The problem is that it doesn't look good in every car design. To be honest, over the past few years Chevrolet has launched some cars here in Brazil that followed an ugly design identity (just look for Chevy Agile, Spin or the brazilian Cobalt) and because of that I lost some of my faith in their design team.
To me, Chevy don't have a car in the moment that really stands out design wise when compared to their rivals in most segments.

It looks amazing, specially the dark silver one at Road and Track's gallery.

The rear end might not be to everyone's taste, I was fairly pessimistic that it wouldn't come out together at all, but to be honest the slightly trapezoidal form gives it a more muscular stance and works pretty well.

Front end is just perfect.

Couldn't have said it better my self.

I think the cockpit looks nice, at least compared to previous Corvettes. But putting those rearlights on this car is like taking the most beautiful woman in the world and giving her a d*ck.

I don't like the new exterior. It looks like a Camaro with a longer front. They tried to go for an overly futuristic look. It should do fine on the racetrack, though.

So it ruins it for some and makes it better for others?

Thats a little overboard, maybe some cellulite... lol

I think the back end will grow on people. I think the car is awesome looking, And its just the base model.

Why would they post a link to a site that doesn't work...unless it really is getting that much traffic...

It's getting too much traffic. Think about how many people are trying to access it right now.

I wonder if the high end models will mimic the double hood vents like on the old ones and have silver trim on the sideskirts.
