Monday Night: Doctors confirm marijuana provides a significant improvement to Covid cases.
Tuesday Morning: Record breaking Covid cases found overnight.

:P
All the more reason they need to be anti-leaf. It supports COVID! We should ban it!

Thinking more about things, @ryzno I get the sense that you pick your preferred presidential candidate like how I pick my doctor. (Thank you Kaiser Permanente for the wide selection of...uh..."qualified" doctors 💡)

In that case, Kamala really isn't that bad. No Tulsi, sure, but considerably better choice than the rest. Amirite?

I'm not surprised that he caught it with all the rallies, it's just really bad timing.
In order for the election to work properly there need to be debates and interviews.

Let just hope he has a speedy recovery and that Joe Boden doesn't catch it too.
They are both in a risk group.

So this is the bit where knowing he's going to lose the election in November, he catches and eventually 'succumbs' to Covid so he no longer has to face those $420m debts that are due to be paid before 2024?

He lies about everything else, why should we believe him now?

$20 says that if he loses the election, he bolts to Russia to avoid prosecution in the US.

I've been trying to think of possible scenarios for why he would do that. Because on the face of it it really hurts his image. I guess if he lies and claims to have overcome it quickly and easily, then he can go into the election being the candidate who has already been through it and (presumably) won't get killed by it. Maybe it's a way of demonstrating that he won't die in office? That's all I've come up with.

There goes his story about taking hydroxychloroquine to prevent it. Though I guess he could still play that it helped him recover.

BBC is reporting that Trump's been taken to hospital: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-54396670

Despite me posting the Clarkson meme, I hope he gets through it and wish him well.
I don't wish the man any harm, but I have to honestly admit that I do not wish him well.

The man is an utter disgrace - he is a bully, a liar, a fraud... I could go on.

He has openly mocked people for their disabilities, their illnesses, even (disgracefully) for their precautions against COVID-19. He has actively encouraged millions of people to disregard advice that saves lives.

Trump may not deserve to get ill, but he absolutely DOES deserve to face the consequences of his own actions, and also to face the consequences of his dangerous and utterly irresponsible comments regarding coronavirus.

I'd say his actions, the disregard and the mocking of precautions, do mean he deserved to catch it. That's karma. But to not wish someone well, whoever they are, who's going into hospital with covid - that's cold. Not the road I want to take. Besides, death by covid is too good for him, I want him to lose, not die.

We're number one! We're number one!

The spread of the disease accelerated across America’s heartland during September. Three weeks ago, only North Dakota was in the red zone. Since September 11, the Roughrider State’s caseload climbed a whopping 67%, from 32.1 to 53.7 new daily cases per 100,000 people.

:scared:

It's hard for me to feel any sympathy. When the rules and the risks of running afoul of those rules are clear, people who run into difficulty as a result of ignoring those rules I cannot feel for.

I was thinking of this earlier but wearing a mask is a bit like putting a seat belt on. Everybody knows that logically when driving a car at 70mph, if you do not have a seat belt on and decide to run your car into a wall, there's a high percentage chance the emergency services will find you in more than one piece. But it's so obvious that it's the best chance you have of beating it, it's law for a start, there's enough bad stories to go round, and when you get into a car, the seat belt is right beside you.

So whose fault is it when you don't put it on? Should you have sympathy for that person? I'll leave that to you but I wouldn't. It's the same for Trump and Covid-19. I don't feel sympathy for a person who openly defied the best course of action to prevent himself from being ill. I don't wish death on him because I'm not raised that way but some people really do need a boot up the ass.
