Of course, the whole point isn't whether you're black or white. (It doesn't matter). The point is it would be nice if you could make your avatar whatever color you are.
And for the "that doesn't matter" either crowd, remember... we have gained changeable rims, photomode, photo-travel, online garages, race suits, race helmets, collectable race suits and helmets and paint-chips and etceterae all within the last decade. And none of that affect how the in-game racing works out.
It's likely Gran Turismo will get to driver customization, eventually... whether any of us like it or not.
This is next level Sim Racing ideology, Optional Driver Avatars could open up Avatar podium presentations in the Game without helmets, Avatars holding trophies squirting Champagne, now that would be cool!!
I understand that some people may think ethnic diversity in the Gran Turismo series Driver Avatars is unnecessary, and I bet those same people may think other races in the world are unnecessary, The Sony Entertainment Network allows world wide competition of Diverse Nations which is GREAT, we can compete and make new friends all over the world from our living rooms, requesting the ability to reflect that diversity is harmless, everyone should be proud of their race, and since ethnic diversity is real, put it in the game, why would anyone want to directly or indirectly suppress another gamer's request to reflect our skin tones, how is voicing that hurting anyone, it is A simple point that could be addressed without controversy, I don't understand why the word racism is even mentioned in this thread, Racism is exalting one Race above another, or claiming superiority, That is not the goal of this thread, This thread is a simple request that ethnic diversity is optional to be represented by every player, It is so sad that the true colors of some has been revealed in our GT community.
I need to be able to have twins or triplets as well that is absolute must. Oh they need to attend school to.........virtual GT Academy school?
It's obvious that gender, skin and colour don't matter. But I think that you shouldn't have a choice to make your character fat.
Feminists have really become annoying with their critics, for example GTA V

GT7's version of the 200 A-Spec point challenge... winning a Go Kart series with a 300 pound driver.
That would be absolutely fascinating, actually.
.
You'd have to be a hyper-feminist/(ethnicist?) to DEMAND that extra women/ethnic minorities/etcetera be hired to these posts regardless of qualifications. Yes, it's a problem. But forcing inclusion doesn't solve it. The root of the problem is in opportunities given at the very basic levels. You have to create a pool of talent, in both cases, that is deep enough for people to want to hire them.
oh wait, someone also mentioned about kids avatars. dont want to leave the youngins out. 👍
The term is called SJW (social justice warrior). And given how things are going so far right now...
Kids can't drive a race car, except maybe like junior karts or suchlike.
What are you talking about tankuroded???? This thread is about making every facet of simulation similar to reality, hence the name Sim Racer, Which GT is suppose to be, You can customize every thing about your car: Color, Tires, Power, Performance, You can change your avatars suit, and helmet, but not his nationality or sex? He/She can't be similar to the person that is playing???, I'm glad Turn10 has the foresight, and the integrity to evolve with the times, the real world is bigger than the world that niky lives in. Turn10 is recognizing the diversity of it's customers, and the real racing world, and that's great.
Welp, Turn 10 are ahead of the game.
I was responding to you quoting Niky, who seemed to be talking about equal employment or something, I was talking about your sex and Nationality i.e. Ethno-Racial group, Your appearance, Not the Flag, you can change a flag, or citizenship, but you are born into your Sex and Ethno-Racial group, Maybe the term Nationality was too broad, but your appearance is the topic of having your avatar resemble, just to be clear. Whatever your skin color, hair color, and your biological sex is should be an option to create in Gran Turismo 7, That is all that I am saying, and I'm glad you agree.Nationality is determined by the PSN flag, unless you meant changing flag to other than your PSN account. I'm all in for your suggestion, but that reply was not really relevant.
