@MarchingSaint

For Sport Soft tires you can take pretty much any Racing Intermediate tune, such as the one posted just one comment before yours. ;)
Performance Points should be the exact same. For Sport Medium and Sport Hard it would be different though.

Come on, there is plenty on content, more than average game. Maybe just, is never enough for you, but for many, like me, is quite enough already, still more to come, takes time and money.
Yes thats why I restarted GT Sport which has a FAR FAR better single player campaign. I finished about 75% of GT7. I didn't finish track experiences or most of the missions because I have no interest in them. I just want a proper single player campaign which GT7 is missing. It took me a few days to clear the Cafe mode. Then I spent a few weeks on the various races that were left on the tracks and the Human comedy races.

Now that I can't restart the game like I can with GT Sport unless I want to create a new PSN account I'm playing GT Sport again. If GT Sport had the Tuning shop and GT Auto from GT7 then GT Sport would be a much better game in my opinion.

How often are you guys doing this if you’re playing on daily basis? It’s very quick and pays ridiculously well but my oh my is it dreadful to keep repeating.
3-5 times a day with a few custom races in between or the La Sarthe 800 PP race with a few of my tuned GT2 cars.

I thought i'd give the Tokyo grind a rest and try the 1 hr Spa,seemed like a nice change at the start.
Did 5-6 with a few different cars, then i had a couple rough races, finished 16th or something, got 180k for an hour, nope, not good.
I was down to 70 mill, felt naked.
Let's go back to Tokyo, used a 1356HP set that was almost as fast as the pre 1.13 set, best i could do was a 15:50,felt slow though.
I need more speed, let's try the other Tomahawk with the 2356HP, tried it once earlier, 15:27 but didn't like it.
Well,within three runs,got a 14:53.840, here we go.
Shot up to 99 mill in a hurry, spent 5 mill on 5-6 high end Ford cars and then right back to 98 mill.
My god it's addicting,lol,best lap on fuel 6 i got was a 1:08.5 or so,tried fuel 1 ran a 1:07.012.
I need a set with better tires, running IM's,last couple of laps are tricky:boggled:

I just tried this for the first time, and I would say that 16 minutes is unrealistic, unless you're a Tomahawk expert.
It took me 22 minutes. The car is a total nightmare to control on a wet track.
I had probably about 90 seconds worth of wall penalties, too.
I don't know if 16 minutes is unrealistic, of course is a very short time. I did the events 4 or 5 times and my best time is 18:49,444 with best lap 1:21,889. I lose time when I lap the cars in front of me and it happens 3 times. Are you using intermediate tyres? You have full control and don't hit the walls, you just need 1 or 2 pit stop, but is only few seconds.

I only did it once in the Tomahawk. I've done the race many more times since then, with Gr.B cars.
The Tomahawk wasn't comfortable for me to drive, and I was a tad bit concerned about getting in trouble with PD for cheating.

Anyways, the Gr.B cars make the race competitive, but certainly longer. I usually only win by 10-20 seconds.
I do it with Sport Hard tires, and go all 12 laps without pitting. 👍

Three times....... total. I find that "race" extremely cumbersome and boring, even for grinding.

Did it twice right away just so I could justify the purchase of the Tomahawk, a car I never intended on buying. Hated every lap of it. Went back a few days later thinking I'd change my mind; nope.

To each their own.

But what could PD do about it?Could they ban every user who used it?I wouldnt call it cheating, just exploiting the rules a little. If they didnt allow an adjustable gearbox for the tomahawk then surely that would solve the glitch forever?

I really can't do this sub 20 minutes because it requires so much concentration for a pretty dull race. Although I've managed a 1:12:552 lap time which is probably the only competitive aspect for me now, trying to beat that.

The least Polyphony could do is prohibit VGT cars from entering the event, or just the Tomahawks (the X, the S, the racecar variant, all of them). A sufficient enough band-aid solution until Polyphony overhauls/fixes the PP system.

Why not just leave it alone for single player races and not allow the car in Sport Mode. Using the Tomahawk in single player races is not hurting anyone.

I concur, but it does hurt Sony's bottom line, they have to monetize MTXs somehow.

PD is not Rockstar, there not going to ban you or reset your account. They'll just try to fix it.

Well, that sucks... I tried to see if the super-duper Tomahawk would enter another race, and that race requires race tires. Switched, and the PP changed, of course. I put my tires back on, no other changes, and it went to "!"

Spent a few minutes of trial and error and lucked into another set of settings that got under 600, but my times are 5 seconds a lap slower! Tops speed is down at the end of the straight by 20 or 25 mph, and it absolutely will not turn like it did before. I did have to mess with ballast, but only by a couple of kilograms. Yes, I had a saved settings sheet, and yes, I started a new sheet before messing with anything. It won't go back to what I had before.

Still easy money, just takes a few minutes longer.

I'm no expert. My best run was 17 and half minutes.

Hi all, newbie here. I’m running sports soft, 90% and 100% power no ballast on fuel 5 for half and 6 for half. My best is 15:30 but 15:00 is doable. I found AI easy ensures I lap them on the straight a few times. So questions:

How can I reduce sliding into the hairpin?

Is there a tune for full power?

What tricks are there to avoid ! PP?

Thats exactly what it is; trying to beat your best lap, and shortest race. Just getting in 12 laps without a single penalty has been quite a challenge for me too, since I have fat fingers and not good at all with the controller.

Hi @WinLoseOrBoth Try using racing intermediate tires, that will help with the sliding.

Also slow to crawling speed at the hairpin. Like 25 mph or less, depending on the wear level of your tires. It also helps if you actually use the apex curbs; seems like much better traction in tight.

I've got enough for the legendary cars I missed. Time to retire and go back to playing the game. I don't think I've grinded this much in any game before. 12,000km ffs. Even though I can do sub-16 minute runs if I don't pit, I'm just bored now. Podcasts aren't cutting it.

Good luck guys, see you in the next farming event if we ever have one.

Tried, they wear too fast by the end you’re in the 1:20s. Not much better in the hairpin really either, the car just feels weird like it’s got momentum.

I’m taking it at 40ish so maybe I’ll scrub down to 25
As @Brewguy44 said that stops you from sliding when you are using racing intermediate tires, and I just do a couple of pitstops to change for new tires. So there is no need to do this on just 1 stop or no stops.
Racing on intermediate tires and 2 pitstops and just using 7th gear the whole race and fuel map on 5, and I am still just under 17 minutes to do the race, so there is no need to refuel just change tires when you want to and enjoy the drive.

Just stay on the wet parts of the track and your tires won't wear out as fast

Are you all here to race real cars against each other, or just here to cheat and gain an advantage with a car that obviously has slot car characteristics.

Did you even beat this challenge at the beginning of your campaign with a real, competitive car?

Go play Wipeout if your into this sort of Fan Game.

Stay cool, it is a way to make credits fast, it does not prevent you from playing the rest of the game "normally"
I'm cool Lomic.
But people just keep trying to exploit a simulator driven game to increase their credits to get through it quicker.

It's not a game that you type 3 initials at the end when you get the highest score.

No wonder so many are struggling online in the Daily Races with real cars, they are wasting their time on this credit grab.

People can play a game however they want. If you don't agree with them, just ignore them and move on. It doesn't affect you in any way.

Yup I agree.

Just wanted to point out that thanks to the Pre-Order bonus we had the Castrol Tom's Supra and 917 Living Legend and RX Vision so we had 'competitive' cars from the start that people probably used to get quick cash in those early races where there was no PP limits etc or reduce it down to make it eligible.

Yes we have other races that can make money too but given PD has really upped the difficultly on Circuit Experience and Mission Challenges and not everyone has the time for 1hr endurance races those being one time only payouts people need another route for those expensive legend cars if you want to own every car in game as they are not 'cheap'.

I'm fine with racing this Tokyo Expressway with Tomahawk while I can, I only get about 2-3 hrs a day to play so if I want Legend Cars I don't really have any other option for quick money.
