The problem with driving the Tomahawk is you don't want to drive any car afterwards...When you drive the Tomahawk you blow every car out the water where its no competition and just a very easy race... then you use a regular car and its the complete opposite where you have legit competition lol

Haha boy do I know what you mean, I just grinded out 13 million credits with the Tomahawk, then purchased the 1929 Barker and took it for a spin ... talk about performance whiplash!

Out of the 2 tunes doing the rounds, the one with both the toe angles at 0.00 is the more stable of the 2,for me anyway, especially on the straight. If you could crack the CM would this improve the straight line instability with this tune?

I'm not really sure Comfort Mediums would make a difference.

In my tests, the thing that made the car stable above 300mph was lowering the front (which is set to the maximum height) OR raising the rear (which is set to the minimum) one or two notches. That's all it took. However, i couldn't come up with a tune under 600pp that didn't have those max front height / min rear height values. In fact, it might be that exact instability that is glitching the tune to be under 600pp.

Im sure they are set at minimum front and max rear at present tune.Upto about 280mph its not too bad but hitting a puddle or an iffy ai manoeuver throws you right off.lol

I finally decided to try the Tomahawk at Tokyo. It was not relaxing, to be sure. Won it, but not all that much fun.

As a beginner, I'm nowhere good enough to fully use it's capabilities at Tokyo.

After one run at Tokyo, I ran LeMans and Sardegna to relax. Everything sure seemed to be in slow-motion then.:)

I find that the first couple of laps you have to take it easy but after the track starts to dry you can push it more. I have been able to get to 300 mph on that long first straight but I do have to watch because it is so easy to spin. I think that is what I enjoy most is figuring out how to get the best laps out of this thing. Right now I am kind slow at right under 24 minutes. I know I do it a little bit faster than that I just need to find more places to push it.

I’m happy driving the tomahawk on this race, I know the AI cheats so bad on this race that they not only block any attempts for you to pass them, but they also completely ignore the blue flags on this track on purpose and that’s ok, this is why i get personal satisfaction passing them three times at least, especially V.Gallo. It feels good. For the time being at least.

the Tomahawk aint bad to drive, once you get used to it
set power to lean, it helps, TC full, heck ALL assists on full, KEEP IT IN 7th gear the entire race!
stay under 300mph on the straight, and take the first two corners at 80mph
if you go slower the downforce is not enough to keep you on the track with hard tires
the rest of the course can be run nearly flat out, UNTIL the final hairpin!!!!!!
you need to CRAWL around the hairpin, 35mph or less

Ok guys, I take back what I said before. A 16 minute time is actually possible.

I just did a 17:24.911 time and had a 5 second penalty (during the straight I forgot I had to lift once I reach 470-480 kph and crashed, giving me damage in the process).
I will upload the video and share.
The run had quite a lot of mistakes and I had a really bad timing with traffic...

The setup is one from a video posted here in this thread. I updated the OP.

I really hate at the straights that the AI swerves into another part of the road and doesnt maintain going in the same line, I get that theres a racing line, but swerving just for the sake of it is BS. The fact that it swerves that aggressive must rub off speed/momentum.

Why to lift ? I never spin after 480kph. But i stay in 6th gear all the race and never pass the 7th. Can reach 530 km/h with the 6th. You may earn the seconds you need to get to the 16'.

I agree with you and what's the point in doing a 12-lap race if you've got a more powerful car than all the other drivers. It would make the race too easy and it gets boring. I have to have my races medium-hard in a way.

^ even though its longer I actually like Lemans... It takes more time but feels like it takes more skill and not as tedious...I definitely would rely on the tomahawk if I needed the money... but I got all the cars already... feel like playing though just for old times sake lol

Absolutely out of your mind if you think le mans requires more skill.

None of the grinding races require skill... Well, the Tokyo one does require a bit more effort for the average player, but that's the only one.

Regardless, we are talking about grinding. I can drive the Tomahawk X while braking on the straights and still be massively faster than anything else. 18 minutes for 825k >> 30-33 minutes for 825k. Grinding is all about getting as many credits within the lowest possible time. It's always going to be tedius, especially in GT7. So if we do have the glitch, just use it... The game and the developers don't offer or intend to give you better ways to grind.

I'm the opposite, I use 7th gear all the time... For both fuel saving and for the car to be under control.

I don't know how in the blue hell you can reach 530kph on the straight and not lose control. After about 470-480, the minimal steering input will unsettle the car. So either you are using a different setup or have godlike car control, and if so, I would really like to see a video of you doing that straight consistently at over 500kph and not lose control. I can maybe do 1 or 2 laps with a ton of luck and reach 500kph and not crash... But usually I just lift and slow down to about 470-480, sometimes even less than that.

Here's my run, I put it on the OP as well:

You’re insane lol. I smoke way too much weed for precision control 😂. I’ll take my 19:43 race hahaha I missed this crazy car

im referring to doing the tomahawk glitch in tokyo... if you use a normal car then yes it is a difficult course... but I was comparing the tomahak in tokyo to a regular car in LeMans
