This update trashed Group 2 cars at Sardines! Using Group 3 cars is feeble with overly aggressive AI punting you into walls. Just finished 13th and had to pit 3 friggin times in the Supra. If they are trying to drive us away from GT7 to other games, they’re doing a fantastic job!

When they see us stop buying cars regularly, they’ll know why.

🤦‍♂️
What is the issue since update?I havent ran sardegna for a while so im not up to speed on it.

I've been using the GT40 MK1 glitch posted on the last page and the race can be finished around 25 mins with it, ran fuel mode 6 the first 2 laps then 4 all the way until lap 8 where the tires had to be changed, filled the tank until 70% and then ran fuel mode 3 until lap 11 then ran 1.

Also on Sardegna Gr.2 cars still work for it and they are actually better than before IMO because I have to put even less ballast and reduce less power than before.

Yea before the big glitches , i used to use Toyota GR Gr.B car with Tokyo , of course it is not overpowered but you eventually get ahead with saving fuel and tyres so it is manageable

It ain't over - it seems that Group B rally cars benefit greatly from the suspension and LSD freeze in PP:

Oh damn I just remembered I have a Group B car that I used to test for the WTC600. It ain't Alpine or Tomahawk but it does the job, just need more tuning.

I'm using my CLK and Mclaren GTR with the old tunes with one click down on power. ~25:30 minute runs. Is there something faster? 787b used to get me low 24's (months ago).

Yup Gr.2 cars totallly work fine in Sardegna with some fuel saving and 1 stop no problem - even with Gr.1 cars like Group C cars hell even MP4 is fun

Tried Tokyo with the Toyota 86 Gr.B its totally workable just dont make any mistakes aka dont get any 5 second penalties and you can do a no stop win

Not sure how I feel about widebodying a near 7mn credit car. Also, is the Alpine dead?
I tried without the wide body, added all the tuning stuff, changed those settings, the pp glitches to exclamation mark, went to the body shop added the custom parts, and I didn’t bother changing the downforce afterwards, the gt40 is now showing 410pp :)

I miss the tomahawk though :( Thanks to all you guys who post in here, much appreciated

👀PSA👀: Tinker with the aero(Front and Rear) a bit as they both seem to have an effect on PP. While messing around with the aero on one of my tunes for a Gr Yaris with a swapped 2JZ motor, it went from 600+ PP to about 504 PP.

Can you post your tune?Away from my console for a few hours. 👍

Sorry about the delay m8.
I have 2 tunes for the Gr Yaris, one low rpm turbo and one high rpm turbo. Turning is crap in this tune atm as I'm still trying to find a good balance. You can tinker with the low rpm turbo tune a bit more as it's only 540PP.
I'm actually still fine tuning the 600PP one as well.

PS. Both these tunes are a WIP(work in progress) and are not ready to hit the track.

So the best car for Tokyo isn't the Aston Martin VGT? If the Cappuccino, GT40 and rally cars are about equal than I'll probably use rally since they are probably easiest to drive.

@Max_HP What does it drive like with that combination of tyres?I assume its a tyre change without a doubt for the IM.
I struggled really badly with off throttle oversteer on my tunes so gave up with it after 2 laps,i`ll give your settings a shot later on when im on.
One other thing,do you think the car sounds quiet, even with a race exhaust?I thought the same thing with the supra fully tuned but i suffer with Tinitus so it maybe that, however through the 3d pulse headphones its a whole new experience soundwise. 👍

Apart from the crap turning(still working on it), it actually drives pretty good and stable throughout the turns and the main straight imo. Once I can make this turn pretty good, this should be a good viable option on Tokyo as it definitely has the power with that 2JZ shoehorned into its cramped engine bay lol.
Meh, most of the car sounds in GT games aren't that great imo, but it's a major improvement over the past games.
I tried using Praiano's tune for it, but even that doesn't turn that good lol.
PS. I have real bad tinnitus too haha. Mine is like a dentist's drill(minus the mechanical sound) in my left ear for the duration that I'm awake. 😞
It was so bad when I first got it as I didn't know how to deal with it. If I couldn't adapt to this strange sound in my ear, I would've probably end up in a mental asylum.

Wow,thats not good.Fortunately, depending which way you look at it,mine is like when you put a sea shell to your ear and`hear the sea`just a constant white noise.Sometimes its worse than others but i tend to forget about it during the day but night time its drives me bonkers some times.Apparantly stress makes it worse so im told?
I went to the drs to have my ears syringed,i thought they were full of crap from working in a dirty enviroment,he said they are spotless, youve got Tinitus! 👍

The "white noise" is how mine(and others) started and it gradually transitioned into a dentist's drill now. I got about anywhere from 2-3 hrs sleep each night the first 4 months, it was bloody brutal. Some nights I just couldn't sleep at all, and eventually insomnia set in and I was hearing voices and hallucinating. Went to see my doctor, referred me to this tinnitus specialist who's been in the industry for 40 years(he's 72) and told me there's no cure:lol:. I had no idea a simple noise in my ear would turn my life upside down lol. Personally, I haven't noticed any difference if I'm stressed out or not, the tinnitus is always there, it never stops regardless of your mental status. Nowadays, it takes me a good hour(sometimes more) to fall asleep.
I'd give my left arm to rid this tinnitus.

Nooooooooooooooooo.I dont want to hear that.
I suffer with stress and anxiety, some days are better than others but it doesnt seem to affect my tinnitus, some nights i just go out like a light but others i just lay there waiting.

I find taking magnesium supplement helps with sleeping as it relaxes the muscles in your body.

Kind of a blessing for me personally, but at the same time it's going to be hard finding new tunes for cars I like for specific PP. Their PP system is broken as hell.
Broken for sure, I agree! As soon as they got rid of it I swapped my sheets back to default and just changed the settings that matter on some cars and i love having drive like normal now, but what sucks is true what you mentioned, goodbye to glitches based on suspension errors on PP.

I feel weird playing this game, ballasts suck balls.

I also have tinnitus pretty bad in both ears but I can't say it really bothers me much other than the hearing loss I suffer because of it. I don't remember what it is like to not have this constant "ringing" in my head anymore. Don't worry, you will get used to it soon enough.

I'm a light sleeper and need total peace and quiet before I can fall asleep, hence why it affected me so badly. It doesn't bother me during the day as there are other environmental sounds to drown it out, but it's at night when there's no other sound but this noise in my ear that's annoying AF. Out of curiosity, what does your tinnitus sound like? Mine is a dentist's drill on max without the mechanical sound.

It's been more than 4 years now, and I'd probably wouldn't be here(in a mental asylum:lol:) talking to you if I couldn't adapt to it.

From what I've read, the people I've spoken to and what I've... heard... It's roughly the same for everyone - a high pitched eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ringing noise.

A youth spent listening to loud music, getting way too close to speakers and a few loud rock shows for me.

glitches are not dead.

Suzuki Cappuccino with 13B swap, fully built with Intermediates and race hards.

2:08s on inters for 5 laps, 2:04s on hards for 7 laps, really fun to drive as well. Mediums may work
Yep, that car is quick! I won two endurance races with it, but not the Autopolis one. It won't make the required PP. I won Deep Forest and Kyoto with it. Never considered it for Tokyo, but it might be worth a shot!

Does the starting grid lineup ever change? The AI NSX is always pulling away from my Killer Coffee Bean in the corners, but I easily beat it on the straight. I found a tune for the 13B-swapped Cappuccino on Youtube with serious understeer, but I suppose not much can be done about a car with a microscopic wheelbase.
