Everyone always talks about the Minolta, the Sauber, Bentley, etc. (and they are great cars) but I believe the BMW V12 is right up there (most don't mention it). I have been testing Race cars for best lap times on 17 different tracks and after about 20 or so cars, the BMW V12 is third for fastest times (behind the Formula One (duh) and the Minolta). I think it is a highly overlooked, underappreciated car in GT4.

Favorite Car... Hmmmm...

Since I have not completed enough of the game to own a LMP car yet, as of now my fav. is the Nissan 350Z LM Concept. It drives like a dream.

My favourite car has got to be the Ford RS200, just so fast off the line with its light weight and huge power when tuned. It handles beautifully and the sound of the engine with racing exhaust

following closely are the FPV F6 Typhoon, and BMW M5

oh and by the way this is to Aussie FPV fans: you may have noticed that the GT and Typhoon only have the old 5 speed gearboxes, well, if you buy a fully customisable transmission, i have the new six speed ratios you can install to bring the cars up to date:
The Typhoon has the same gearbox as the Falcon XR6 Turbo:
Final: 3.73 - 1st: 2.66 - 2nd: 1.78 - 3rd: 1.30 - 4th: 1.00 - 5th: 0.80 - 6th: 0.63
and the GT uses the same as the XR8 Falcon
Final: 3.46 - 1st: 2.97 - 2nd: 1.78 - 3rd: 1.30 - 4th: 1.00 - 5th: 0.80 - 6th: 0.63
these two new gearboxes give better acceleration and eliminate the 5th gear overdrive with a six speed close ratio transmission

of the cars i have in my garage my favourite must be the impreza wrx sti '02, (500hp) or the skyline r34 midnight purpleII.
One of the cars I cant wait to get is the blitz skyline R34 or the blitz ER34

Nissan Skyline GT-R Vspec '93 with 784hp and qualifying tires around Le Sarthe l = đź‘Ť

PS. I find it in the early 90's used cars room with only 10km đź‘Ť

Favorite road cars: Ruf RGT. I love driving with this car, especially with ASM off. The Buick Special is really fast and handles well (especially for a muscle car)
The Lotus Elise is the ultimate giant-killer.
In the supercar class, my faves are the Ford GT and the Mercedes-Benz SLR Mclaren. I wish the Porsche Carrera GT was in the game though :(

Favorite race cars: Well the only LMP/Group C car I have right now is the Minolta, but it's kinda ugly. Right now, I'm addicted to the Formula GT (FGT + Nurburgring= Thrill of a lifetime) Too bad I got the "John Deere" colour :yuck:
My favorite JGTC car is the Motul Pitwork Z (only because its the best looking).
I really want the McLaren F1-GTR and the Ford GT LM Edition Spec II.

Favorite sports:- Nissan Skyline GTR M-Spec NĂśR, around 500BHP, i choose this because of the great handeling. if this wanst an option it would have to be the Honda NSX fully loaded with no Aids and full downforce, this is just because it slides with ease and make driving a joy.

Favorite race:- Ford GT LM Edition Spec II, just for the sheer ride, i drive this stock with no Aids, and what a machine, goes like stink (fast) and takes the worst of corners with ease, and it also make the ring seem like a Fuel filled playgroung.

Skyline GT-R (r34) M-spec Nur: The Red "R" Emblem is truly legendary.

It only needs proper tuning to offset its disadvantages that goes to the other cars too. Nonetheless, GT-R has created its mark in the racing world.

GO GTR!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I just won the 350Z Concept LM Race Car tonight and all I can say is 'MY GAWD!!'. The car is simply amazing right out of the box! Talk about driving on rails! I'm blowing away the JGTC cars in the all Japanese championship!

[edit] it just occurred to me why the LM car is so good compared to JGTC cars! :dunce: [/edit]

The Suzuki GSXR/4, fully tuned and lightweighted, with gearing set for topping out at 180mp/h. Perfect, except for the 'Ring, where it has a tendency to want to take off on some parts.

Oh, and the Jaguar XJR-9, as it is quick and handles excellently, no matter what some people say, as they obviously have no car control.

xjr-9

Mercedes 190E 2.4 16 Evollutionale 2 - Its just amazing fun to drive. I have to say my BMW M3 CSL is a great bit of fun as well.

Note to everyone, if you want a really fun 2-Player Battle, use the Honda S800 Race Car, fully modded, including NOS. That car is awesome!!!!!!!

My favorite car is the Mitsubishi Eclipse and therefore in the game my favorite car would be the Mitsubishi Eclipse '95. However it is FF. I was hoping they would put the '97. I like the handling of it though... (well my standards are quite low and some of my classmates think it sucks... but not for me.) ...and I have tuned it just right for my driving style.

Well im a big fan of Nissan Skylines :) , in GT my favourite is Xanavi Nismo GT-R because of its handling and good speed , in real life i just love the R34 its beatiful !

A few really. But I have to say, I am loving my M-Spec NUR and 22B alot.

The 22B just is awesome for gripping those tracks with lots of turns, and the M-Spec is just a blast to drive, hell, it even gets around the 'ring pretty comfortably.

Well Today it was an absolute delight whipping around in my hopped up Ginetta G4!! What a fun car! I think i'm going to try to get some good powersliding shots in photomode with it!

Well I did a search and got what is your favorite handling car, and your least favorite handling car. But maybe it might be good to have a thread to talk about your current favorite car in GT4.
Although please just don't put what car is your favorite, we would like to know the reasons why you have deemed this your current favorite, be it having it's 'mAd TyTe RIMZ wit Spinnaz' or 'it has a tank engine!' or maybe even 'It's just a Daihatsu midget, I mean what can be cooler than that? Nothing obviously!' although maybe a tad more descriptive than that.

Aaaanyway.

Currently my favorite car has to be the M Coupe, the rear tyres are so wide that I had to remove a bit of camber to stop it from understeering at one point. Although at the moment it's fully tuned (barring chassis refresh and rollcage) and I love it. Although it did understeer a bit which I thought was a bit strange, but now it's nice and ballanced with around 440hp and racing slicks. I also noticed the tyre chirping sound after you buy the brake controller and change the settings you can hear the rapid chirps from the abs working. Or at least I think it's the ABS working.

Well anyway I don't want to ramble on forever (and ever and ever etc) like JohnBM01, so i'll leave it to some other members.

Mine is the Minolta. It is one of the fastest cars in the game. Plus it handles great!!!đź‘Ť

Oh, and the Jaguar XJR-9, as it is quick and handles excellently, no matter what some people say, as they obviously have no car control.

two words > tire wear

My favorites the ever popular GSX/R 4. Tuned, or not, it handles like its on a rail, tire wears outrageous, runs for ever on fuel, and whips cars way over its head in HP. And it sounds great too! Love high rpm cars.

For the past month, I'm just completely in love with the '83 Silvia 240RS S110. Here are some numbers from GT4: 970kg, 236hp and it redlines at 8000rpm. The best part of this car is it's nimbleness which made it infinitely fun to drive. the 2.4L DOHC engine is very responsive too, as it's basically a homologated rally car. The short gearing is fantastic, but that obviously didn't help the 210 km/h top speed. But I don't care about Vmax that much, so this car is pretty much an ace to me.

Now, the official GTplanet car list needs some correction on this car, this car is listed as N (new) not U (used). But salute for listing the car as S110 not the S100 as the game itself stated.

Mine would have to be the Mitsu evo III (black) withs Rays wheels 018, only for the simple reason i own this car and its fun to drive down the street, and with a few tuning parts is a great car in gt4

Tuned stock cars:
White Jaguar coupe equipped with a ~630 HP engine and black racing rims and a black rear wing. Weight is around 1430kg and top racing speed is around 320km/h.

That car handles extremely well and it flys around the corners, it drives much better than it looks - and it looks great.:dopey: If you have one, make the springs a bit harder to increase handling. đź‘Ť
(And of course no driving aids)

Racing cars: Toyota-7.

The Toyota-7 the Can-Am 70' race car:
Equipped with a extremely powerful 5-gear 830hp 4900ccm V8 engine, its a wonderful lightweight 1366lbs group-c-killer, but you have to learn how to drive it. It tends to understeer.
One of the greatest things of the Toyota-7 is tire wear, you can drive with very soft wheels with normal race car tire wear! Great for enduros!
Contra: Low downforce (35-54 or so) and comparatively low top speed.
With full downforce and auto-gear settings 18 it stops at 220mph without NOS and advanced gear modifications, but its acceleration tops every group-c or LMGTP car.

Its also one of the widest and the lowest cars in GT4! The T-7 is 2040cm wide and 84cm high INCLUDED its enormous rearwing!

Ah, I almost forgot to mention its a damn good looking race car.:sly:

(Please check my gallery for more detailed pics of the Toyota-7! Link is located in my signature)

Note:
The Toyota-7 has a very bad handling with stock settings, if you have one the first thing you should do is turning of the driving aids and soften the front springs a bit. Its very important to have soft settings at the front wheels, and be sure that the rear tires are HARDER than the front wheels.đź’ˇ
