The McLaren F1GTR.

I've had so much fun with this car. It is a bit a disappointment, but it makes up for that by providing me with some beautiful Photo Shots.
This car's brakes are wonderful as is the handling. All I can say is, that car isn't a much as I expected it to be, but I could care less. This car...omg...this car is just to much fun to drive.

The Dodge Viper GTS. This is my favourite car in all of the Gran Turismos. My favourite car in the real world is the old school RT/10. The vipers have the perfect engine: a V10, close to the power of a 12, with the roar of an 8. The only dissapointment is that the game does not feature the classic dark blue with white racing stripes

Great topic! I can't pick just one car. I've got 6 listed, and I feel bad for leaving out so many other fantastic cars.

Overall
BMW M5. It performs so much better than a 4 door luxury sedan should. It's just sick. The car does exactly what you want it to do with no arguments, and thanks you when it's over.

Favorite front wheel drive car
Honda CRX SiR. It's a blast to drive. One of few FF cars with oversteer. It lacks a little power for the weight, but the smile it puts on your face makes up for that.

Favorite older car
Nissan 240Z. The weight distribution is fantastic. The breaks work very well with the car's weight, power, and suspension characteristics.

Favorite surprise car
Suzuki Cappuccino 95. When I want to teach someone the basics of handling a rear wheel drive car this is what I teach them with in arcade mode (Autumn Mini). It doesn't have enough power to really let a person get themselves into too much trouble, and the weight distribution is great.

Favorite super car
Ford GT. Wow. 150,000 credits (dollars), and you get all that? It'll outperform the Saleen S7 that costs twice as much, and the Pagani Zonda C12S that costs about 5 times as much. The balance of the car is great. The power, breaks, and suspension are all top notch. One of few American cars that really eats up corners, and the first mid engine car I began liking (after hours of forcing myself to learn MR weight characteristcs in a dozen cars).

Favorite tuner car
Amuse S2000 Street Version. It feels nothing like any of the other S2000s in the game. The weight of the car is held nicely and the oversteer makes it a great surprise drift car with no modifications needed (medium sport tires, stock car).

Throughout the GT series i've pretty much ignored front wheel drive cars.

Lately i've been devoting a lot of time into my driving and tuning skills with front wheel drive cars for fun. I am currently working on the Acura RSX type s. Just by modifying the suspension i was able to get the car to go almost 2 seconds faster on tsukuba. :)
this is with n2 tires.

I'm also working on tuning a toyota MRS with a car+mods price total of less than 45,000 that is faster than the Amuse R1.

1)TVR T350C: Love this car. Plenty of power with great handling. Can be a drive down to the store or a monster if you put your foot down.

2)Shelby Series 1 SC '03: Love this car for the same reason I love the T350C. Plus it looks like a shark.

3)Dodge Viper GTS '99: Cuz it's a Viper and Vipers are wicked!

Road Cars

Toyota MR2 (New version)

Has mind blowing acceleration in 1st and 2nd gear but in the rest go rather slowly. Great handling, nice to take photos of.

Audi LeMans Quattro

This must be one of the best cars I've ever driven (in GT4). It has great acceleration and handling (which is all that matters to me :sly:), looks good to. And a little spoiler pops up when you reach a certain speed :).

Saleen S7

Very powerful car. Nice acceleration and good top speed (I got it over 380km/h), but doesn't handle very good stock. Need to tune it. Or mabye its just my style of driving :indiff:.

Race Cars

Mercedes Benz AMG Touring Car

Marvellous car. Nice handling. Seems to staying 4th gear throught the entire Nurburgring. Looks nice, accelerates good but top speed to low. :indiff:

Honda NSX-R LM Race Car Prototype Race Car

Great handling. Great Acceleration. Great levels of grip. Great Car. It nearly overlaped one of the cars in the Type R meeting. Looks nice in the red also.

Nissan 350Z LM Race Car Concept (The Red, White and Blue one)

All of the above compliments apply for this car. Not too good grip however.

Phew that post took alot out of my fingers. Oh Well, See Ya!

From the desk of Mr Plo

It just has to be this beast.

yep i know i've made it look stoopid :dunce: but this is the most fun car ever in GT. you can link drifts for fun!! especially the tight section on autumn ring mini

do the last corner on the wet circuit - even with the arse end in the sand on the grass and still control it!! - with a little flick back of course!

gives you betty swallocks would still be a dream car to own!!

My Fav's Road Cars :

1. Toyota Supra RZ, have drived in real life too and man it's amazing car, in the game it's the fastest car i've got, goin' about 487km/h, and drives well.

2. VW Golf GTi I '76 nice driving FF car that took family cars in whole new stages

3. Volvo 240 GLT Estate '88, lots of fun with this thing called Coffin' car

4. Ford RS200 '84 what could u say, it's most fastest car to go 0-100km/h in under 4 seconds (3.02 seconds) it is in Guinness book of records :) Drive like dream

5. Dodge Charger, american beast working well and wow what a sound

Race Cars :

1. Castrol Tom's Supra '00
2. Mazda 787B
3. Ford GT40 Race Car
4. Corvette Z06 Race Car '63
5. BMW M3 GTR Race Car

Current favorite car is/was that car in the graduation test for Licence iA.
Cant belive i forgot the name of the car.......
Yes, yes im an idiot. (It was some obscure 'C category car' or something...)

I drove the SLR and it handles like a Merc, which isnt a good thing.....:(

In my limited time with the game, I'd have to say the BMW M5 :) It's simply awesome and is very fast. I've tuned it nicely, but I still love the way it handles and drives :) A very nice car to say the least :)

Lately I find myself taking out many FF cars for rallying, the Peugeot 106 Rallye especially.

They make soooo much fun on dirt.

👍 Sure is. I bought my first one this morning, and won a 200 A-Spec straight off the bat. A dream to drive and soooo much grunt. Can't wait to tune it though, I think I'll need to buy a couple. :)

Could stand to be a bit louder though, but maybe that'll come with new exhaust.

The Falken Skyline GTR
Just love that car, the handling is awesome, also the looking and the sound. With it I made my cleanest lap, I thing, in the ring (I love to see the replay)

Sauber Mercedes C9 - reason? 1192BHP  = 320mph+ :)

lap time on the 'ring is currently 5:05:61 with R5 tires and improving.
braking is wicked to. But when going over 300mph brakes are useless.
just like in real life. Dragsters don't have brakes because the brakes
will disintegrate at such high speeds.

My dad's seen one of them! In imperial green metallic of course :)

My favorite would have to be the Honda S2000 LM Race Car. It is the least powered of all the LM cars but it handles like a dream. When it is fully tuned and everything it still hauls and can turn magnificently! :sly: Other than that I would have to say the Nissan R92 CP Race Car. I mean that car is a real beast! :P  :odd: :dopey:

Vipers are bad. they kick A$$. The viper was the only car i used to choose on GT1.
Too bad that they don't have the original blue paint with white stripes theme on GT4
:( :(

Road cars
1.) Nissan r34 gt-r v-spec 2 nur because it has 359bhp as standard and 50lbs of tauque as standed plus you can then tune it to over 800bhp but its perfect at 500-600 bhp. Also gran turismo must think skylines in general are the best car on the game because they have included the most models of any car on the game

2.) Bmw m3 csl because it is brilliantly balanced and it has a nice amount of power as standared but is still very tuneable it also boasts one of the sweetest looking body work-one the game

3.)Mclaren slr because it is just so cool. it also is a do it all car i.e. entering road car races to beating race cars at there own game. every thing a bout this cars is sick!.

Race cars
1.)Falken r34 gtr nur because its just a realy bfast fun car to drive thats even when standard more than capable of beating the jgtc cars, but its only half the price
2.)Honda s2000 gt race car with a stage 3 NA tune because of the looks (maybe not the rear wing) but the car is so nice its a great little car thats in the same class as the Falken (above) and the Xanavi (below) also check this weeks WRS
3.)Xanavi r34 gt-r JGTC just look at it!!

Tuner cars
1.)mines r34 the ultimate car

Overall
1.)Falken r34
2.)mines r34
3.)r34 v-spec 2 nur

p.s wots every ones worst car or is there a thread for that??

Skylines are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i pretty much got to the end of gt3 and all i did for week after week was hotlap the deep forest in my bright blue RGT.

then i got gt4 and it didnt disappoint. the RGT is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better in 4 than in 3, its just my favourite car.

i dont really play gran turismo mode. i load up the ring, and hotlap it constantly in a ruf on sports medium tyres 👍:)

the sound is great, the car is balanced, and the handling is just so good. it's rather more unstable than some of the cars going over the bumps and it can still sometimes cause me to crash on a straight!!! but there is no better car to enjoy the ring in.

;)

Well, except for maybe the BTR and the Yellowbird :)

Favortie car is GT4 hmmmm

well for an overall car i dont think much touches the sauber. its immensly powerfull, with good handling and is a car u can also play with out on track.

For fun i like both the alpine cars, They are great fun to drift and although are not that fast i think they offer a good drive and can be a handfull if ur not carefull

For novel value i think that the fiat panda offers alot. (yes thats right i said fiat panda) Its not fast. its bloody ugly but i have made mine look worse as mines blue and have loverly yellow three spoke wheels and a white spoiler!! :yuck: lol its easy to get sliding and playing against friends on the nurburgring is great fun as u can really pull away from each other and u have to resort to cheating, like turning it into a lawn mover or crashing into each other

Gerco
My favorite car is definately the pescarolo. I compared it with the r8 and it's quiker than the r8.
of course its faster its lighter and i think it has 100 PS more. Havent driven it jet but the colors look awsome.
racing cars:F1,R8,Pescarolo,Xanavi Nismo GT-R, Sauber C9
Tuner:Amuse S2000
Factory car: Skyline, FD,FC,EVO's

im all over the BMW M3 GTR. its not that its the best in its class, but after a few days of tuning trial and error i got a set-up i realy enjoy and racing against similiar cars is fun, not one sided like most races i find myself in.also tire wear is pretty even and with super hards i can get quite a few laps

after that i gotta go with my muscle car of choice, the 63 corvette zo6 race car simply because i love vettes and thats the better of the classics even thought the 54 is pretty

Bumping this thread, as I have a new favourite: the Peugeot 905. Bought it specially for the GTWC, and in stock it was worth 149 points and with a Stage 3 Turbo, 99. It's a tricky car to master; there's a pause as you up-shift while the engine kicks in so it made for some really really close racing against the Sauber Mercedes and Audi R8. It's annoying to begin with, but once you get used to it, it's a brilliant little car, and manages a cool 375 km/h down the main straight of Tokyo without breaking a sweat.

Isuzu 117 Coupe (1968)

This is my current fav. Running it around the ring is very cool, predictable yet challenging little car. I have it tuned to around 200 horsepower but left the original muffler on it to preserve that great sound that it has (almost like it's spitting as you drive). Some of my other fav's are the RUF RGT(great driving car) the BMW Z4 and the Ginetta G4. There are many cars that are capable of winning everything they enter, but so far these are the ones I enjoy driving the most. :)
