I hope this doesn't happen to XBL. Its the only thing getting me my online gaming right now, and I'm sure if someone wanted to bring it down bad enough they could. I can't wait for the PSN to be up. So far all I have heard is speculation about why its down and when it will be back up. Also apparently Sony is giving away games and other things to make up for it, that's cool.👍

I'm hoping this means PSN's not far off returning. This level of LBP is #1 developer favorite. http://lbp.me/v/z42zt3

Maybe NanoNeya is a SONY employee, that may have been testing PSN by playing a little bit of LBP, so hopefully PSNs return isn't far away. :)

EDIT: NanoNeya has been active playing online on PSN on LBP and Killzone. I'm guessing he's an internal tester for PSN.

Maybe he can come around to my house and test my PSN. Come on, hurry up! I want my Bob's back.

Gunns4hire is saying saturday. My guess is monday or tuesday. He seems pretty confidant though as he is giving away PSN cards or something if he is wrong.

Cross fingers for this weekend:

PSN Dev Net Is Up For Some, Confirmed by Developers | Full PSN Not Up Yet

Okay, so this was mentioned in the old thread by a QA tester and since then I have had other developers confirm to me that this is the case. The internal PSN developer network is online again, at least it seems for some, although things are still a bit shaky at the moment such as lack of new account sign up.

Looks like the full network, at least the online play/account part of it, will be back soon.

There is more chance of catching an African lion taking a dump in my back garden than psn coming back on this weekend, this will drag on for weeks yet!

At least someone has noticed the pattern.

Celebrate good times COME ON!!

Still don't think it will come back this weekend. It is supposdly on for some developers for internal testing, however it is very fickle. At this point they most likely need to run parrallel for several days to work out the tweaks. Don't forget that this is the first time they have actually tested the PSN since going down. I doubt they would just open it up to everybody unless they don't find anything wrong. If they find something wrong anywhere with any process, the delay will drag on further. We can hope, but I think the light at the end of the tunnel is out due to budget cuts.

Nobody relevant has actually said it will be back this weekend, just speculation as usual. While I would like it to be the case, don't nobody get your hopes up.

my lack of IT knowledge is going to show here:

Sony has their servers for the PSN. Does PD have a server that is needed to play GT5 on the PSN? My real question being is there a chance that it gets overloaded from a flood of people at once?

I have to guess that once it goes live again usage will be at a peak

There hasn't been that link posted that said "Sony's aiming for May 31st"? I'm seeing a lot "Hoping for this weekend" comments

The article said they want full service restoration by the 31st. However, it also states that they want the ability to play games online, Qriocity, and profile data to be accessible as soon as possible.

Likely when we are able to log in again, we won't be able to use the Playstation Store, Life with Playstation, Folding@Home, or any other PSN based services.

Sony said it will be a few more days, pointing to this weekend!

Do you trust everything you get in your email if its asking about your personal details? (making assumption based on what I think those emails are about...)

AFAIK, the email is only an activation code for the service. I just thought you may have some dirt on Debix or the service in particular.
