8:33.610 Nissan GT-R (2% left, avoiding mess ups lap 2)
8:33.871 Audi R8 (too slidy to avoid chaos)
8:33.997 Dodge Viper (stable, needs more fuel)
8:34.418 BMW M6 Power (out of fuel)
8:35.203 BMW M6 Walkenhorst (out of fuel)
8:35.636 Peugeot RCZ (4% left, chaos lap 2)

Bloody typical! I have a day off next week and hate every combo. Better try getting away with some late nights this week while I still can.

I'd be glad to make one for you. :) Which Mustang (3 or 4), and what kind of theme would you like?
I have to learn to use it myself but will happily accept other liveries, after all it's fun to run different ones.
Gr 4 Mustang for Willow Springs, maybe Tide as theme?

@6BK That is one smexy Havoline ride!

I'm trying out a fade effect on the liveries I made today.

No sweat. I can take care of that. Shoot me a friend request and I'll message you when it's ready. I'm not really in love with any of this week's races, so I'll certainly have plenty of time to do it.

I did it in the TT Cup last time.
No kidding? I don't remember that. Were you using it for qualifying, or racing, or both?
I would have expected fwd to struggle with turn 2, where it's basically full throttle all the way around.

60k?

Good luck with the journey. It can be just as time consuming as racing. I've lost out on doing races where I ended up doing liveries. Myself and the missus will sit on the sofa in the evening yapping with me doodling car designs on the telly. I also started with a fade on my first attempt; Gr3 Aston with the PD made up liveries. Still looks good imo. Then I moved to replicas like the two NASCAR jobs above. Then to unique jobs and next to Team 6BK. The first 6BK were all straight lines and hard contrasts. Lately though I've been much more in favour of playing with fades, especially with multiple layers and then testing how different base colours will react to them. Also started making my own SVG files so I can get things like the 6BK logo, the 12 Acres Brewing Co. and literally make the car a one off specific to me.

The gallery is here, hope you enjoy:

Finally WILLOW SPRINGS! Everybody loves WILLOW SPRINGS. They should create a Race D just so we can race WILLOW SPRINGS every week! I bet they won't do it though, because then everybody would flock to WILLOW SPRINGS all the time and the other 3 races would be ignored due to the immense popularity of WILLOW SPRINGS. God I love WILLOW SPRINGS so much!

Race A will be the mini again, i can feel it. Boooo. I will probaby try my habd at the willow next week.

Got three races in this morning, and they were all pretty nice. Two wins and a second place with quality racers. Nothing noteworthy happend, gonna try and squeeze one more in here before i go. Hope it's another good group...

60k?

I used it for both, I couldn’t get the same pace out of the 86, I did try it a few times. I think I was the only person using one though. I will need to make a new livery though, I can’t be using my CnF ones any more. :)

60k sounds good to me, Challenge Accepted! :D

next weeks races are up.

A: For those who can't get enough of Suzuka... I'll likely only race it if it's an N100 not used before. The only exception is the Mini because Minis are fun.

Please be the Sambabus.

B: I was expecting Maggiore, Tokyo or Fuji. Surprising. It would've been nice to see Gr.3 since Gr.4 was used last time but still a fun one.

C: Awesome, one of the best combos. Fuel and tyre multipliers are the same as last time so similar strategy should apply.

Nope, you can't add apples and grapes.:dunce:

Look at the brake checker's PSN username in @Sven Jurgens' video. It was a play on his name.

First race of the week for me. Tried C. With the RCZ. Man do the front tires burn faster than the rear.

Pretty much finished last. Got a penalty almost every lap. Which kind of sucks because every time it was to slow down to avoid others. So, give room, let people pass and get a penalty for it. :indiff:

I was doing pretty well at Willow last time in a dog of the WRX mainly because it kept on track but there were plenty of TTs in my races. In the lower lobbies the people in the 86 were prone to over steering off either at the sharp left up the hill or the hairpin down.

As much as I like variety I admit race B and C next week are going to get rough.
@sturk0167 thought you would have had a wrangler livery for something as off road tempting as big willow.

I couldn’t find the race I did with Z28 and ErickGTR last time at Big Willow, but I did find my TT Hot lap, I’ll find that race later when I have wifi lol. :)

Edit: Sorry about the double post, I didn’t realize it at the time of posting.

I'm more shocked that RWD cars are pitting on this race. I only did one race (used the Jag) but didn't think I was losing enough time near the end to justify the time it would take to pit. My last 3 laps were about 1 second slower than the earlier laps - dropped on laps 9, 10 and 11 from mid 1.41's to high 1.42's, so worn tyres cost me about 3 to 5 seconds over all. You can hardly pit, come out, and make up enough time on fresh rubber for it be worth the 3 seconds lost on bad tyres can you?

Nope, you can't add apples and grapes.:dunce:

I enjoy Interlagos but it's never been one of my better tracks. My tire wear may very well be the result of over-driving or taking a bad line through a couple of corners. I could theoretically make it without a stop but the amount of time I would lose would be much greater than the amount of time spent in the pits.

I will say that I ran this race three times last night and in each race the winner made a pit stop.

Thoughts on next week:

A: Depends on the car, but it'll probably be the old Honda or Mini, both of which we've seen before.

B:

I don't think there's anything more to be said here

C: I can't go risking my main account's DR at N24 because I'll definitely bottle it, but my alt will enjoy it a lot. :mischievous:

Switched to the Huracan for some race Cs. Outright pace over a lap is better, overall race time not too different as the 86 will do 41s all day, whereas the Huracan will drop off to 42s by the end.

Experiencing the full joys of midfield racing. This is a standard first lap.

And some first class punting.

Note the overspeed Huracan vs Megane Trophy. I squeezed him through T1 to compromise his T2 and T3 for an overtake into T4, but left him a car's width. He carried on his normal T2 line so he pushed me off at T3 and gets a pen. Then the side swiping starts, then the nerfing and then the punt. He picked up 8 second penalties for all that but actually cost me more like 10 or 11 seconds.

I haven't been racing online that long. Kudosprime says 22 days. But over the races on Mount Panorama and St. Croix a few weeks back, I steadily gained DR and went from a D rating to a B rating. Great.

Then last week came. None of the races did me any good and I thought this week might be different.

Nope. Neither Suzuka nor Interlagos did anything for my DR and I am down almost 6k points since that high 2 weeks ago.

I tried the Audi R8 and the GT-R in Suzuka - and its just constantly sliding around, the Audi more so than the GT-R (which I had great success with in St. Croix).

Also - do you take 130R in Suzuka at full speed? Maybe I am just too timid going through there or I am not taking the right line, but I always get the feeling, if I don't brake, I will run wide or lose the car.
Yeah, there are some weeks where we have some really good combinations. This week's races is a bit of a mixed bag, and your experience in the ones you participate in will probably influence your opinion, especially this week's A race. You can get some good races at Goodwood with the Clio v6, but if you have people pushing you to the grass on T1, and people punting you into The Chicane, then.. well.. yeah, you won't have a good opinion on that combination.
... Unless if a race is an SR Down Simulator. Just avoid those, unless if you are an alien.

Suzuka and Interlagos are pretty difficult and competitive tracks. Those two, under the right car (usually Gr. cars) tend to attract more people, so you get a lot more times in, and closer grids. I did one last night at Interlagos, and that resulted in some fantastic racing, but that can also lead to chaos.

R8 LMS is a difficult car to use, even for me. I used the 911 RSR and was able to get a decent time on it. It might help if you bring the Brake Balance a bit towards the front. And for turns 1-2, you have to be careful with the amount of braking you use, as it's easy to have the car slide here.

For 130R, it depends on the car. With the 911 RSR, all you have to do is lift off the throttle until you hit the apex.
10% of the time its always @sturk0167 's fault...
Are we starting this again? :D
Seeing as there’s no FIA races this week, I guess I’ll do some Daily Races tonight. Unless anyone’s interested in a one off NASCAR style event using Gr3 cars? @Mistah_MCA ’s race the other night was really fun!! :)
Ayyy  Let me know if you need the settings I used.
I blame RPMcMurphy
Yup, we're starting this again. I'm blaming RPMcMurphy. :D
No it bloody wasn't ! :yuck:
Kaz, fix your lobby servers. :(

Sure man, what settings did you use?

I find it strange that we have never had any lobby issues in my Saturday races? Like literally not one that I can remember.
